  1. The rear fenders are too high, and the windshield doesn't have the curves because it doesn't have a windshield. Both the front and the rear look too long as well. It appears to still look too high as well, but it's already miles better than before. There is a driving ring which is engaged when it's in RC mode. When shifting to manual mode, those driving rings disengage and you can steer and drive freely. Also there have to be at least 2; one for steering and one for driving.
  2. Superb model, I am very curious how well LEGO's version will compare. To be honest you've raised the bars for a LEGO supercar. I was especially surprised by the modularity and it has to be my favourite function of all. I do like that it appears to drive smoothly in all gears as well. Too bad you won't be doing instructions for the full car. I love blue, I've got a lot of it myself, so I really hoped to be able to build it. Though maybe it's possible to reverse engineer it? Maybe very hard, considering how dense it is, but it's something I would be happy to take a shot at.
  3. I do like McLarens a lot, but I was hoping to see some progress as LEGO model.
  4. Awesome car!! It definitely screams Lamborghini to me. The all black one is the best in my opinion.
  5. Awesome car! This will look fantastic on the shelf next to my Sheepo Mustang.
  6. That is LEGO's name for dark bluish grey. Just like they have bright blue, bright yellow, and bright red, which are just blue yellow and red on Bricklink.
  7. Isn't the angle of that U joint too sharp? I thought the max angle was 45 degrees.
  8. Impressive start @Jeroen Ottens! I do like it a lot already. It reminds me of a Ferrari more than a Lamborghini. It also reminds me a lot of your Mistress supercar because of the hood panel and the big panels over the wheels.. I would change out the 3x11 panel for 3x 1x11 liftarms because that part is quite rare at the moment.
  9. Why not use 3L axle with stop instead of the axle pin? Won't the 3L axle with stop hold the spring better? I guess the suspension arms already help a lot so maybe not a big difference... Also, is that another illegal connection I see?
  10. Great looking moc, very nice! but before putting all that effort into PDF instructions you may want to fix unavailable colours in the build. It might discourage people to build it. If you want I'll do it for you. I think my colour/part knowledge should be good enough to make it buidable for anyone.
  11. Isn't that the point of hobbies? I don't think I want to know how much time I have spent on Bricklink/building. All I do know is I am having fun. I've only been collecting for 2 years (only including MOCs), and I'm "only" 12 MOCs in.
  12. I've done some experimenting myself... Using Paul Boratko's mini V12 and Stefan Betula's Aventador 5+R speed gearbox (which is actually also from Paul ). I have modified the chassis a bit here and there, mostly to fit the gearbox. I haven't connected most of the connectors and axles at the gearbox. Though using other people's designs kind of defeats the purpose of this project, it does look like a great chassis for a Lamborghini. It's got the AWD drivetrain, V12 rear mounted engine, even the butterfly doors. The proportions might be way off though
  13. @Meatman Someone (you by any chance?) pointed out that issue in the comments. He said it was a small building mistake and already fixed it.
  14. Except for the butterfly doors It does have a lot in common though, even the double shock setup.
  15. Red seems to have a couple issues. 12x (xo) liftarms, could maybe be replaced by 1x2 (half) liftarms. 2x thin bush, which might be able to be changed to a full bush. 1x driving ring connector 3L, could be replaced by smooth version. There are also 2x 5.5L axles which can probably be replaced by 5Ls or 6Ls. I do like the white better myself, but I might change out the red on the roof for another colour. Maybe blue or black, or even white. I'll see, it seems I already have a good 50% in my spares including the wheels plus wheel covers and almost all white parts.
  16. I agree. I've got a lot of regular blue, quite possibly more than red, and also have a couple blue supercars built. I think the regular blue has always been the best blue. It does seem like the rear of the Chiron is the regular blue which means we'll likely get some soft axles and panels in that set!
  17. I am glad you decided to share the instructions. This masterpiece has to end up on my shelf for sure!
  18. I don't agree with all the criticism on gaps. It's LEGO, gaps are part of it. Even so-called "gapless" MOCs have gaps if you look close enough. Anyway, I think this is quite possibly the new version of the Chiron revealed a while ago. The front looks a lot like it and it does make sense given the fact they had to hide it from even the store catalog, like the Mack last wave.
  19. Blue is another one. It's incredibly noticeable on almost all blue sets/MOCs. I haven't noticed yellow though. But maybe because I don't have anything yellow assembled right now .
  20. Wow, good find! It does look like it for sure. It probably isn't a real Chiron blurred out given the gaps in the front and the hood...
  21. I have received China parts from bricklink twice now in 70 something orders. You'll spot them immediately if you do receive them. If you are worried about fakes, buy them at Bricks and Pieces and lego.com. Sometimes they're cheaper too.
  22. If you look at the print of the tires, they are the same ones as the Porsche (81.6x44 R), so that's not an issue. What might be troublesome is that the rims could be slightly different... We'll see. We are probably just weeks away from pictures.
  23. I also bought a bunch from Blokbricks. Although black, white, grey and red are very good, blue is more like purple. When you are actually using them as pneumatic hoses, that's not an issue, but when they're in a blue MOC replacing soft axles the difference is very noticeable and quite annoying.
