No offense, but who gives a $@&* who noticed what first? Unless you're providing a picture of something new, noticing things is not worthy of any special recognition. No one is going to search through old posts to see who said what first, because it doesn't matter.

I think the best calendar would have been one that focuses on one of the movies or just CW. The random array of generic minfigs is horrible and the ships will likely be the same.

Kim, he took a picture of the Naboo starfighter figs, so you can remove that as a rumor. So I guess there was no Echo base? Did you get close up pictures of the sets at all?

What? That design was horrible! Not only does the bar not stay in securely (which is why I leave them off the ship while displaying it), the bar barely shoots out at all when trying to fire it.

But Brickdoctor, moving stones around is one thing. This is totally different! On topic though, while I'll enjoy some pictures of the sets, it won't be anything we haven't already seen. What I DO want to see from one of these shows is some shots of Echo Base or the N-1. That'll make things interesting. Also, at the New York Toy Fair are people allowed to hold sets for pictures? Specifically, different angles and moving pieces for otherwise impossible shots (like the inside of the Falcon).

Eh, I wouldn't get too picky about terms that don't follow the same laws of physics when put into the Star Wars universe. Sir von Lego, if you want a scene that's liked by the most people possible, you'll want to pick something from the movies for maximum influence. My vote would be for The Battle of Genosis inside the arena.

I know this is off topic, but I want to post it anyway. From the SW wiki when I was checking Panaka's color scheme: Boy, that just pisses me off. Not that TCW would kill off Panaka, but their "story" hinders on what's convenient and what isn't. Just another reason I try to ignore TCW at all costs. Anyways...yes, I think dark red is the closest match to the correct color. It's not perfect of course but it's as close as we would get.

R2-KT appeared in The Clone Wars; therefore, it would not be a candidate for the new minifig according to the reviewers guidelines of not appearing in any SW movies. It would also not be a new minifig anyways as the minifig DOES exist, albeit in extremely limited numbers.

Well, there was a certain Holiday Special that was none of those things... Come on Lumpy!

Since it's a Christmas calendar, the new fig will obviously be Chewbacca's son Lumpy from the Star Wars Holiday Special.

How about some new 3D scenes then? Live the thrill in Hans point of view as hes being shot at by Greedo 15+ times before Han shoots back!

I would hope that kids will watch the OT at home before watching TPM at the theater if it's their first time. Almost all the great story elements of the OT are ruined if you watch them in chronological order. -Obi-WANs powers are not a surprise -Darth Vader being Lukes father is not a surprise -There is no possible love triangle since you know Leia is Lukes sister. This will make the kiss creepy in ESB. -Yoda being the crazy creature on Dagobah is not a surprise But maybe I'm wrong? I'd like to hear the take of someone who experienced them in chronological order for the first time.

I never said he had to, it was worth a shot to ask. I'll experiment late this year with building my own (assuming there will be no UCS Executor this year).

The question is, how much effect will it have? I only bring this up because people make the claim of "well when the 3d movies come out well get a wave of sets for the movie currently in theaters." Personally I'm not so sure. While the original rerelease was huge in the 90's, there were different factors in play. -VHS on Tube TV compared to theater was a greater difference than DVD/BlueRay on a flat panel TV to DLP 3D conversion. -There was a longer gap in time between the old rerelease than the new one. -New scenes were added/edited (some good, some bad) with the old rerelease -The OT is much more loved (hardly debatable) and an easier draw to get parents to take their kids with the old release. -Movie tickets are more costly now, especially with 3D. I don't think this will be as huge as Lucas thinks...I can't see myself going to any of these films at today's prices when my TV does a fine job as it is, but that's just me. TLG does seem to be bracing for a pickup in TPM sales with 3 summer sets thatll still be on the shelves come 2012. Will they go all in next winter?

1. The MF is coming out this summer, so no need to request that. 2. Yes I hope that's the vehicle in the Echo Base set also coming out this summer. 3. Just do what I did and buy the gray version of the blue parts. I'll upload a pic of it sometime later. Did the same for the bomber and interceptor. 4. Won't happen till the Endor set is out of production, it would kill sales of it.

Oh I've done all of that. That particular Executor is a foot too long for my display area, is flimsy in the front, and uses many discontinued pieces. Anio's, while a little less accurate, is perfect scale and looks much better. If I can't get help recreating his model I'll have to make my own attempt at it in the future.

Is that Dobby I see in there? He just gets into the worst situations... If they release a set this size it better be the cantina.
