I find the best solution is to assume that everything besides the six live-action movies is not canon. None of this ridiculousness is happening like Ahsoka, the girl that is never mentioned once in Episode III, and they are not running around doing dumb things like saving baby Wicket. None of this madness is actually happening and Star Wars still has a shred of credibility. I feel better already! Now if only I could erase C3P0 being built by Anakin and R2D2 being able to fly from the PT.

This is awesome. If TLG makes another Sandcrawler someday, I wouldn't be surprised if they go this route considering the walking AT-AT.
-
Now you're talking UCS measurements. If the cockpit fits one I'd be happy. Theoretically the AT-AT head should fit 3+, but it only fits one so the set is proportional, which is good. I want a set that looks good rather than plays good.
-
All I ask for is a proportioned cockpit in relation to the rest of the ship.
-
Wait, so the Falcon is confirmed now? Let's not forget the Falcon is on one website with a set number, that's not very concrete.
-
I'm sick of Lucas continuing to whore out the franchise, but it gets me OT sets so I just ignore everything CW.
-
From the confirmed sets or the rumored sets? At this rate if I start talking about UCS Cloud City enough it'll come true. We really should have a little more confirmation on sets (pics, set number, multiple sources) before we treat them as fact.
-
Looking at these sets now, I have to agree with others that these sets seem pretty out of place. I think until we see some pictures I'll be avoiding talking about these possible sets.
-
If the Malevolence is a UCS ship I will be quite disappointed. UCS ships were mainly OT sets because, quite frankly, adults appreciate the OT the most and are willing to spend the big bucks for OT ship displays. I understand the lack of OT sets each here as CW must be where the money is for average-size ships, but to lose a guaranteed OT UCS ship each year would be somewhat devastating. Please TLG, don't forget the group of people who have carried the UCS line.

At this rate, a Battle Pack on Endor would be 4 Scout Troopers and a Speeder Bike against 4 Ewoks and a catapult.
-
Haha, hilarious. Ignoring the fact that all these are in the still new Battle Of Endor, it's like TLG thinks that Stormtroopers weren't at the battle of Endor! They were! Put them in Endor sets! I'll still be buying this, but I feel the need to rant about the rarity of Stormtroopers in sets.

This topic has taken a bad turn. I'm all for seeing pictures but if they come out now, the boy's grandfather could be fired. There's a reason that Lego hasn't shown us these pictures, it's because we're not allowed to see them. It won't be hard for Lego to track down who leaked the photos with this thread. Admins, I suggest removing all posts relating to this.

From what I've seen, the info comes from one Bricklink store. It doesn't seem that reliable to me, but I'm new to the game when it comes to leaked information and what's credible. Personally, I don't count any set as 100% until I see physical evidence.
-
I don't think this site has any proof either to be honest.
-
Just as you're not counting the UCS, I'm not counting the Mini or Mid scale. It's been since the 4504 set that there has been a playable MF with minifigs. While this is still more than any set, the Falcon and the X-Wing don't play by the same rules as other OT ships due to their iconic status. Kids will always want one and it's in TLG's best interest to make them always available for purchase, especially if they enjoy making money.
-
I doubt it, Batman isn't really for kids right now. I wonder how well the sets sold, that would be a big indicator right there.
-
You're referring to Ace and Airen, the two gunners? They were both human so if the ship is ROTJ themed I hope they would be included with Lando and Nien since no new molds would be required. Speaking of gunners, I hope they don't ruin this ship by throwing flick fire missiles all over the place.
-
The last affordable one was almost 7 years ago and there's a whole new generation of kids that want one. A new MF is like printing money, I'm surprised they held off as long as they did.
-
It'd all come with a good Hoth base, but the 10th anniversary came and went with a bunch of Hoth sets and no base. So I think that moment has passed by for at least a few years. Yes, I'm actually banking on them making the landing pad someday, otherwise I'll have to make it myself. This is the set I'm calling for when I referenced remaking Final Duel II. You're absolutely right, the appearance of so many obscure aliens in the bar ultimately hurts the chances of a good cantina set ever appearing.
-
That's just people playing off the UCS Lobot joke from a couple months back. Lobot could be in the set if the theme was Cloud City and included a landing pad. It would help justify the supposed price tag of $250. Not very likely though. Whenever they get around to making him, they need to give him a straight face . Lobot does not smile; he's been lobotomized.
-
Might as well cross the MF off your list after today's news.
-
Where has it been posted that the MF would be UCS? It isn't in the UCS set number range and they've already done the MF for the UCS line. If anything, this set seems to be a remake of the '04 Falcon, with a higher price due to increased demand and better quality.
-
That is one epic collection. I'd like to see some different angles of the Endor scene for sure.
-
I can finally reenact that famous scene from Return of the Jedi where Lobot pilots the Falcon into the Death Star! Hooray! If Cloud City was a remake of the previous set and in the 150-200 range, it will ultimately be a failure. They need to shoot for UCS Death Star pricing so that we can have all the rooms, dividers between them, and around 20 minifigs. A huge bonus if it is designed like the Death Star and contains the overall shape of the city. If they're going to do it, they need to do it right...I don't want to have to wait another 8 years for them to try again. You mentioned earlier that Cloud City isn't likely because of a large CW set this year. As long as the UCS set for 2011 is up in the air, well, I say Cloud City remains on the table!

A new Falcon, a new Slave 1, a new Han Solo carbonite mold... If only there was a place where all three of these things meet! Come on TLG, don't let me down...
