  1. I don't think that's been confirmed yet, the only person that's said so was a false source. However, those characters are highly likely. Personally I think this set needs a Rebel, a different Ewok color, and a Stormtrooper. The battle was not all Ewoks and Scout troopers. Sad to say that Luke has no chance of being in this set since he was on the Death Star during the battle.
  2. Are you referring to the TIE Defender? While not shown in the movies, it was supposedly at the Battle of Endor. I'm glad they made it. However, the TIE Fighter is the most iconic bad guy ship and it's a joke they haven't redone the set yet.
  3. I'm sure TLG has analyzed many factors (cost, quality, G-rated toy) in determining the mold for guns. I highly doubt they consider third party companies when making business decisions.
  4. This is the most bearable set of the January wave because of the new mold, but since it's a set from the worst battle in SW movie history I just can't like it no matter how hard I try. Good review though.
  5. For any LSW fan that is interested in the Clone Wars, that is.
  6. As long as we get the UCS Lobot set first!
  7. My opinion never changed, I always want these sets to be as accurate as possible. Now that I know the droid is not like an R2 unit, the extra droid body should go. Whatever makes these sets SW accurate.
  8. Pressure from Hasbro is why they are gluing the minifigs. This has been covered multiple times.
  9. The "Based on new requirements" was because Hasbro owns the license for action figures, and releasing minifigs in a cleverly disguised magnet loophole isn't going to fly anymore. The other sets will be glued now to prevent confusion, but likely because they've seen set purchases drop and magnet purchases rise. Have to pay to play I guess. Personally I like it. It's a bummer to buy the Home One and get an exclusive Ackbar figure, only to see it released in a cheap magnet set. And I do mean cheap, because the quality of plastic for the magnet minifigs is less than the plastic used in the actual sets. For collectors, sets will hold a better value over time if minifigs can't be purchased separately.
  10. I didn't realize that either, well done. They shouldn't have included the body though and cut down the price some.
  11. Bad Lego sets exist because Lego's aren't free.
  12. A huge DSS...having to take the astromech's "head" off to put it on the ship...this ship is just awful. The figures may be the only redeeming qualities that I can see. And as for that video, is it 2003 again? Can't kids angst with more modern music?
  13. Would you ever consider uploading a part list and/or instructions for it? I'd love to build this someday.
  14. I agree as I own it, but $400 is a lot to spend on Legos for most people. I would get the X-Wing and Vaders TIE. If you had to pick just one, then the X-Wing.
  15. "Nothing in the EU is canon, and if the MF is ever introduced in the Clone Wars (which is very possible but would be rather silly) it would almost certainly ignore these novels." It's all canon if approved by Lucas. However, there are conflicting storylines in which the higher ranking fiction wins out and the story is not canon. For example, the movies are #1 and any story conflicting with them makes that story non-canon. A lot of stories were deemed non canon after the PT was released. That said, for sanity purposes it is perfectly acceptable to regard CW as not canon if you wish, no one will hold it against you.
  16. Because the Clone Wars is awful, I assume. But to each his own.
  17. I have to agree, the way you have it now it looks like Anakin is losing his balance and about to fall into the beautiful SNOT lava. He needs to be moving forward in the air or standing still, but not falling backwards.
  18. What a great MOC. It's a shame you don't have the ultra rare George Lucas minifig, he'd fit right in.
  19. Like any company, LEGO is about profit. Star Wars will be around until they milk it dry.
  20. The exact price is unknown due to South African conversion rates and how their taxes are. It will likely be a remake of the 2004 Falcon and cost around the same (or more, as Star Wars prices have tended to increase over time). $150 is a good estimate.
  21. Jordan has supplied us with so much information infact that most people are doubting his honesty. The fact that pictures can't be produced just adds to the doubt. Unless Jordan is willing to join the site and give us information himself, please stop talking about him. Right now you come across as a kid being messed with a stranger on Facebook, and nobody wants to ask this kid questions through you anyway. Id rather him just mess with you then have you fill this forum (and subsequent sites) with misinformation. At this point I could pretend I know future sets from someone on the inside, start describing them, and they'd have just as much credibility or more as Jordans predictions because mine would at least be plausible.
  22. They could do this if they like making about half the profit off of it. The ship already IS a playset with a removeable roof. There's less than 1% chance they make a playset instead of the actual ship, but it's possible. I own the Home One (for the minifigs and A-wing) but I would have much rather had the exterior of the ship. The thing is, the ship has no flat edges which means even at ISD size it wouldn't look good. So I guess it's an ok compromise, and besides, most people remember Ackbar in his chair or the battle plan debriefing more then they remember the ship.
  23. How did you make that image? (more specifically, the image of the ship behind the words)
  24. The director of The Empire Strikes Back, arguably the greatest Star Wars movie, has passed away today. Kershner took the series to a new high with a perfect mixture of emotion and art that hasn't been seen in any Star Wars film since. I look back and wonder how great the PT could have been had Kershner not turned down the offer to direct The Phantom Menace. Thank you for one of the greatest films of all time! You will be missed!
  25. The EU is mostly ridiculous, don't get me started on the fact that Palpatine is a major part of it when he should be dead. Chewbacca being crushed by a planet was just to sell comics, they actually wanted to kill Luke but Lucas said no. I really just acknowledge the OT and nothing else. I assume this makes me a cranky old man that hates change but after seeing little Anakin trying a flip because it was a neat trick, and then soon after ending the war merely by accident, well I had had enough. And that was before the horror of the Episode II romance scenes. Haha, yes.
