  1. It pains me as well, especially when figures are used to increase the price of an otherwise average set.
  2. Unless you need the figs NOW, if you could wait then more figs will enter the market over time and the price for them will go down. I think if money is a issue then it's always a good idea to wait unless it's an expired set.
  3. Greedo was NOT the only Rodian in the Star Wars universe, although I understand why it must be confusing since Lucas created a universe so small that everyone has met each other. Anakin's friend is Wald. Wald, not Greedo. Wald.
  4. For us to get what many would consider a good base, it needs to be in the 10xxx range. I predict a rehash of the old Echo Wall set.
  5. It literally looks exactly the same, giant cockpit and all. I feel like I'm the only one not excited by that screenshot.
  6. Dammit TLG, I know you want to fit two characters in the MF cockpit but the cockpit literally dwarfs the ship when you do that! I'll still buy it but I'm not pleased...I would have hoped in 7 years that'd they would learn how to scale down the cockpit some.
  7. Has anyone contacted that guy about uploading the other pictures, or at least sending someone the pictures to upload?
  8. I like this idea but I'd hope they would keep the same scale as the Battle Of Endor set. I'd like to be able to add Ewok Attack to the scene, not have a much larger/fatter AT-ST there. It'd also keep the price point down with no redesign needed. That said, I think we all know deep down it's going to be a remake of the old Ewok Attack...a catapult and some speeders. Ho hum.
  9. Have they ever released a remake of a ship without changing something about the ship?
  10. Shmi would be great in a Tusken Raider Torture set. Hopefully with a new Bantha! "New from the Star Wars galaxy! Anakin's mother is being raped and beaten by the Sand People...can Anakin get there in time or will he have to murder all of them? 357 pieces."
  11. Yes, there were two other Rebels on board acting as gunners.
  12. So I assume this eliminates a ROTJ Falcon? I guess were getting either an ANH one (extremely likely) or a ESB leaving Cloud City one (not so likely). Happy about a new hair piece though, Luke wasn't a girl in ANH.
  13. Millennium. Kim has it spelled wrong in the News thread, I don't want this to be an epidemic. Any chance you could share your source? Sebulba was an obvious one but Mundi is much needed and Maul would be great with some actual horns.
  14. "The Holocron is divided into 5 levels (in order of precedence): G-canon, T-canon, C-canon, S-canon, and N-canon. G-canon is absolute canon; the movies (their most recent release), the scripts, the novelizations of the movies, the radio plays, and any statements by George Lucas himself. G-canon overrides the lower levels of canon when there is a contradiction. Within G-canon, many fans follow an unofficial progression of canonicity where the movies are the highest canon, followed by the scripts, the novelizations, and then the radio plays. T-canon[1] refers to the canon level comprising only the two television shows: Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the Star Wars live-action TV series. Its precedence over C-Level canon was confirmed by Chee.[2] C-canon is primarily composed of elements from the Expanded Universe including books, comics, and games bearing the label of Star Wars. Games and RPG sourcebooks are a special case; the stories and general background information are themselves fully C-canon, but the other elements such as character/item statistics and gameplay are, with few exceptions, N-canon. S-canon is secondary canon; the story itself is considered non-continuity, but the non-contradicting elements are still a canon part of the Star Wars universe. This includes things like the online roleplaying game Star Wars: Galaxies and certain elements of a few N-canon stories. N-canon is non-canon. "What-if" stories (such as stories published under the Star Wars: Infinities label), crossover appearances (such as the Star Wars character appearances in Soulcalibur IV), game statistics, and anything else directly contradicted by higher canon ends up here. N-canon is the only level that is not considered official canon by Lucasfilm. A significant amount of material that was previously C-canon was rendered N-canon by the release of Episodes I-III. " There are many people, including myself, who only acknowledge G-canon. I have made an exception for the game-novel Shadows of the Empire which bridges the gap between Episodes V-VI extremely well. The appearance of the Outrider in Episode IV Special Edition makes me think Lucas is a big fan as well.
  15. I like fallenangel327's brash opinions, I think we need more people like that so we can get some heated discussions on here! Currently this forum is filled with wish lists, which are fine I guess, but it's more fun to put some odds behind the wishes coming true. I'd say we will get a UCS Slave I at some point in the future for sure, but currently the market is oversaturated with Slave I's. I have no idea why we got a new one so soon after the previous model (unless we're getting a new Cloud City, please please). I think it would be highly unlikely on TLG's part to release a UCS model that would have to compete with the regular model on the shelves. So yes, both the Slave I and AT-AT will probably need to wait until the regular models aren't on shelves anymore.
  16. Yep, Lucas has changed his mind constantly about his "vision" for everything. He went in to the Prequel trilogy with only a general idea of how it would start and end and just filled in the gaps along the way. As much as Lucas denies it, he has said in the past that Star Wars would have 9 episodes. It still might, especially since Lucas has been buying up rights to dead actors. When the technology is good enough, we might be seeing familiar actors on the big screen for 7-9 at their appropriate ages.
  17. The best selling EU ship would be the Outrider. Would include Dash Rendar and Leebo. The Outrider is such a popular EU ship that it's in the special edition of A New Hope.
  18. Yes, but who wouldnt want another? I might get another one and save the shield generator pieces for MOCs.
  19. Instead of a catapult I'd love to get some of the other Ewok traps. -A string connected to two trees to clothesline scouts. -A hidden net to capture food and/or enemies. -A cage with multiple logs in it ready to roll down a hill. The catapult is played out...give us something new TLG!
  20. Are you saying the sentry droid design was bad or that it shouldn't have been in the set? It was there with the Sandtroopers when they were told these weren't the droids they were looking for.
  21. I'm not going to lie; I don't like a lot of the PT, and don't acknowledge CW as events that actually happened. Some of the EU I love (Shadows of the Empire) and some I hate (Palpatine being reborn into a clone body). I don't see how not liking certain material makes me less of a fan, especially when the material of an era is presented as a kids show. I will admit that the CW keeps Lego SW going strong, and for that I am grateful. That said, I didn't say they shouldn't make a UCS CW set because I don't like CW. I just think the majority of collectors willing to pay higher prices for sets that are mainly for display would be adults. Most adults are likely bigger OT fans then they are CW fans, and there are still many OT ships they haven't made that would likely sell better. From a financial perspective, they will make more money with OT sets in the UCS category.
  22. Other than the possibly inappropriate position while wearing a pirate hat, it's not bad. I've also never seen a baseplate with that one curved corner before.
  23. If TLG is smart they won't do that. The older collectors have the most money and are more inclined to buy OT sets, then PT, and lastly CW.
  24. The set is confirmed; the contents are not.
