Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Everything about Episode IV is memorable, you can't go wrong. Well, except for the special edition changes (Jabba, Krayt dragon call, Han/Greedo). -
Crazy that you pulled off so much in one year. My favorite this year is your Sarlacc, it is incredible.

An interesting thought but it'll never happen, the amount of people who would want this is too small given the price tag ($100+). Not to mention Hasbro would have it shut down immediately. They already had Stormtroopers in the army building sets, maybe they'll do it again someday. You'll never get a bucket of them though.

It would be at least $400 if done correctly, which should be similar to the Death Star playset (scenes in a set the shape of Cloud City). Perhaps next year, the Death Star has been out for quite a while now. -

You're right on this one. I was so excited about the figures that I didn't look at the skiff...and it is horrible. The '06 model is superior and that isn't saying much. I'll probably buy two just for the figures and parts. -

The tower and throne resemble the palace shape from the outside. I'm a little worried that the figure not yet labeled in Jabba's Palace is an alien from the Alien Conquest line. Where is the "New!" logo for this one? -

Boushh is a male bounty hunter who died before RotJ. We aren't getting Boushh, we're getting Leia in a Boushh disguise. There is a difference, albeit a slight one. -

It's all about the minifigs right now. Just enough pieces to warrant making the figures. It's designed to resemble the outside of the palace (I wonder if you turn the set around you can display it as a Jabba's Palace mini?) but its low piece count reminds me of similar Harry Potter sets with a smaller Hogwarts build, so it's not like we haven't seen this design before. -

They're in Jabba's Palace. No repeats between the two sets, which is great. -

I guess on to the slight disappointment though...still no Rancor. Considering the new T-Rex in the Dino theme, I thought maybe we'd get a Rancor mold at last. However, the Rancor really deserves his own set with Luke, a Gamorrean, and Malakili (Rancor keeper). Perhaps in the future. -

We'll see. I expect this to be a $30 set given the figures. But I guess that's a cheap set for TLG these days. -

I looked at the YouTube link..these sets look REAL. Both these sets couldn't get much better than the figures we're getting, I'm PUMPED. I wonder where Queen Amidala fits in though. -

I think with the new DC Hero/Villain line and now Middle-Earth, TLG won't be as dependent on Star Wars excitement. -
Bad math aside, we must never forget Lucas will do anything with Star Wars as long as it continues to make him money. The CW will go on until every last drop of profit can be squeezed out of it.

It will on account of all UCS sets going up in value. However, you may be right in that if enough people don't buy this set before it's discontinued, then supply and demand dictates that it should be worth a little extra in the future. -
I still feel that with the same number of parts, they could have made something more Echo Base and less Ice Planet. Oh well, it has some good parts and figures to MOC a better base.

But we already have unique heads, like Bossk and Ackbar. We have figures like Chewbacca and the Ewoks donning head-torso additions. While neither of these additions are new, they are becoming more common.

I'll bite. I'd say the next development on figures would be her stub nose. I want to say the legs, but the holes on the back are just too crucial.

Hoth Wampa Cave is a $40 set with only 297 pieces, so it falls in line with what we should expect. -

They may do that someday, minus the younglings. TLG tries to stay away from the whole "child murder" theme. We better get back on topic though, predictions are for another thread. -

The Droid Escape set has a truncated speeder bike, you might be confusing him for a Endor stormtrooper. -

Because there aren't a whole lot of play features available there. It'd be a hard sale. It'd sell better, of course, if it was full of cool Jedi minifigs, but that would go against TLG's tried and true method of dispersing figures across all the sets available so that you'll buy them all to get all the figures you want. -

Is there any sand on the back of him or his helmet? -
I doubt the Death Star will get discontinued until a similar set is built (Cloud City?) to replace it. The Death Star doesn't compete with the UCS sets in its price range so there's no reason to discontinue it.

Looks good, although it's a little thick. Is it possible to make it a little thinner on the side? I especially like the interior and the left engine. The droid and stand are both awesome.
