That's awesome! For my 2c I like the new faces better. Probably lean towards 'no lines' as it still captures Mulder's look. I'd be keen if you are printing a bulk lot.

Simply awesome.

Reworking the Creator 31036 (Toy and Grocery Shop) Modular WIP
dr_sarcophagus replied to stefito's topic in LEGO Town
The fire escape is excellent. I'd recommend using jumper plates to set the windows back by half a stud (all the modulars do this). I'd also increase the height of the floors of the RH building to match, or else just have a single upper floor that is taller. You might also want to consider incorporating darker bricks for the outline and using the white bricks around the windows. While white shows up detail well, as a shape colour it is often lost against the background. -
That is amazing. A beautiful idea beautifully captured.

Really nice! Especially with being so limited in parts.

MOC: World War 2 Saint Nazaire version 2.5

Wow. Absolutely amazing. -
I think the difference in height between buildings adds interest to the streetscape. The 'stepped' masonry, brown, blue mod earlier takes this to another level as well. Although I agree if you are after a more European look then equal heights and a sharply angled (as opposed to flat) roofline would be more desirable.

Got any left? -
I love them both! I like to moc the yellow ones to give them a personality and put them in my modular street. But I prefer to keep the licenced characters which already have personalities. I generally keep them seperate but the superheroes often need to save the populous from the rancor who likes to cause havoc.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

I like applying stickers and it is one of the highlights of the build experience. I do not really have an opinion on the lego movie and have only seen it once. I think lego is priced fairly in comparison to other toys and hobbies. I hate The Brothers Brick. I think how you play with your own lego is your business. I think the quality of lego sets is improving all the time. I believe lego is both a kids toy and a serious art medium - like paints and pencils. I think the lego community is one of its best features. Oh, and I also don't like Grand Emporium or Parisian restaurant. Though I will not rule out getting it in the future. And I wish the modulars were open back instead of modular - though the liberation of parts from the debacking process makes me glad they are not.

Wow. Very impressive!

The open rear looks great as well. I've been intending to remove the rear walls from my modulars as well to better see the interior details (and free some bricks). But this solution creates the best of both worlds. Very impressive.

It's really nice (and I'm not (yet) a big fan of post-modern architecture). The only thing is with the trip hazards and absence of guardrail on the first floor balcony. I'm not sure it would survive its OHS inspection.

LEGO CREATOR 2015 Rumours & Discussion
dr_sarcophagus replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
+1 - though I am a creator fan. That would have to be the cleanest fighter jet I've seen, mocs included. Looks like an F/A-18, but single engined. Definitely blue angels inspired. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
dr_sarcophagus replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
.I don't mind if they use the Ideas museum, or come up with a design of their own. But I think the arch window piece definitely lends itself to a Victorian era public building. Museums were hugely popular at that time and there is a lot of scope for creative internal details. I like the Ideas museum, but I dont think its a perfect representation. Particularly the two towers on each side. A ridged dome set back from the facade would be more authentic. Edit: Not that I would be complaining at all if it made it through :) -

The top floor windows of the new friends hotel (41101) look like they have a new arch window element. A new arched window element that looks like it should be on a.....MUSEUM! -

Thanks ER0L . Long time guest lurker, first time poster. I know what you mean about the height, but I think they've done pretty well with the minifigure constraints. I think part of the reason it 'looks' high is also because the body is so low. I changed out the coloured 1x6 tiles on the underside for black ones on the 458 and its height now looks a bit less pronounced.

I modded the LaFerrari a while back finally got round to taking some photos. It doesn't look any more like the source material, but I think it looks more like a ferrari. According to my eldest (just turned 7) it wasn't a real race car because it didn't have a spoiler. It didn't use too much in the way of extra parts. Just a couple of small wing pieces, a couple of cheese slopes and maybe a 1×4 plate or two. I also set the cockpit back a stud, which I think helps make the front look longer. This liberated a couple of 1x1 plates which meant that the rounds from the front could be repurposed as rear spoiler supports. Sorry about the size of the photos. First time posting
