  1. After seeing your latest pictures mortesv, I am tempted to build the entire fleet Great work as always!
  2. Finally got my build and review done and posted! Check it out here
  3. It is great to see some members getting started on their builds. I would have loved to reply and jump in on the fun, but I was busy building my own! That's right, I have now completed the Nebulon-B using the manual, and it is gorgeous! No issues came up with the manual, although I did have a few extra and a few missing pieces, hopefully just a slip up on my part of bricklinking and not an issue with the parts list. As for the build itself, it took a grand total of 31 hours to complete start to finish, including me moving the ship and figuring out how to flip it over on the stands. The best way that I found for the stands is to set up the Nebulon skeleton on top of boxes that hang it just a tad higher than the stands would. Put the boxes under the skinny middle arm, it will be stable there. Then snap in the front and back support stands. From there carefully slide out the boxes from under the middle arm and attach the middle support. It is much easier to do with two people so one can support the ship while the other attaches the middle support, but I managed to do it alone so it is possible by yourself. Another thing that I suggest is before you stand it up on the supports, figure out where it will be displayed and stand it up there. I ran into the trouble of trying to move it after a few of the panels were on the back of the ship, and long story short, the panels broke and I ended up having to reattach them anyways. So in summary, build the internal skeleton (up to page 603 in the manual), set the skeleton to the side and build all supports. Then figure out your display area and set it up on the stands there. Attaching the pods will be a bit trickier this way, so you could also complete the pods and then move it up to where it will be displayed with all pods attached. Then it is just a matter of building panels and sticking them into place, which is pretty scary when the ship wobbles a little bit! As stated earlier the manual did not give me any issues, and having made the manual did not give me any advantage as for the building process, I didn't exactly memorize the steps as I made the manual! When attaching the front left/right panels (Use the LDD files as a guide of what those are) I found it best just to attach one or two of the plate with pinholes and then sliding just those in rather than attaching the large panels to many different parts. In regards to the LDD files, they are EXTREMELY useful in attaching panels as they clearly point how/where each one attaches as compared to where the manual just shows them in their finished places. On another note, the GR-75 is included with this bundle now. Its thread can be found here: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=137021 Enough chitter chatter, here is what you all want to see, my finished model on display A video for this ship will be posted within the next few days, I will post the link in here.
  4. Building had begun!!! I am about 1,200 or so pieces in and so far so good. Pics to come tomorrow of my progress.
  5. They are done, just click the link in the post right above yours.
  6. Yep, as listed above, you should use a software such as Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to view the pdf. Do not be alarmed by the fuzziness it is actually 4K resolution, so it will not be fuzzy to say the least

  8. Well, I THOUGHT that I was done ordering pieces, but as normal, there are always a few mistakes made by both myself and bricklink sellers. Needless to say that when I realized this after I had counted out what I thought was the final package, I threw a small Kylo Ren temper tantrum. Back to bricklink it is! I currently have 80% of my parts in hand now and am waiting on one more invoice until I cam hopefully lean back and build this thing. Hopefully I can get started as soon as this weekend depending on how fast these last few orders ship
  9. Good stuff! Never got too into TCW so I cannot exactly comment on the representation this makes of an AT-TE but as a Lego MOC it looks awesome! The angles are very well created!
  10. Not as much as you would think actually. For the colors other than LBG and DBG and black you should be able to use any color you want
  11. TO ALL THOSE INTERESTED IN A STICKER: I have completed the sticker and attached a preview of it below. As requested, both mortesv and myself are included on the sticker as contributors. I recommend that you print this at 122mm width by 61mm height and place it on a black 8 x 16 road tile like most of the recent UCS sets. Just click on the photo to go to my flickr page. From there download the full size photo (3840 x 1920), it will be easier to do in Chrome. Take a look:
  12. Woo! First boxes came in today! Loving this new bricklink even more as I put in the pieces to the "have" section of my wanted list and after just one day of mail, 28% of the Nebulon parts have come in! It's going to be so exciting to see this when it hits the 90s, that will probably be my initiative to start sorting and planning out where I will build my Nebulon For those of you interested in the sticker, I was stacked today and plan to get it done tomorrow. Before I start, which color would you guys find most interesting for the sticker, blue or green?
  13. Amazing work! While I love the UCS version, the technic beams are annoying to my eyes, and this completely eliminated them. The wing style reminds me a little bit of this Upsilon Shuttle http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=119078 , mainly just the way you achieved the greebles and wing width. Great stuff, would love to see someone build one!
  14. Awesome stuff! Can i assume that Battlefront was a valuable resource for you, it would be easy to get an up-close look and screenshot of the turrets.
  15. That's going to be a tough decision!
  16. ATTENTION THOSE INTERESTED IN A PARTS LIST: The plan was to keep the parts list exclusive to the bundle, however bricklink is having issues uploading a parts list from the LDD file. I myself had to resort to rebrickable in order to get myself a wanted list without typing in each row from the excel sheet. This problem has led me to upload a parts list to rebrickable for the public. This had no issues uploading to bricklink, and thus is a viable solution. Of course, it will be a touch harder to keep track of parts without the excel sheet to make notes on I also see the points made about it being better to see exactly what you will need before you start a project. After all, I have yet to see a MOC offer a parts list only if you pay, so why should this one be the first? Anyways, thank you for your cooperation, here is the link: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/cjd_223/mortesvs-ucs-nebulon-b-medical-frigate As for those disputing the price tag on the manual: Together, Mortesv and I have spent a literal countless amount of hours into this project, Mortesv alone has been building this for years! The manual took all day work for months and all's we ask in return is a $50 charge. If you do the math, you are literally paying us a few cents (If that) per hour for us to bring you this manual and design to build for your collection. For those wanting the manual to see the process of how it is built, I'm sure that people will post gradual pics in the "Building Mortesv's Nebulon-B" thread. Thank you for your cooperation, and happy building!
  17. I am indeed in the U.S and this includes NONE of the parts that I own, this was also all pieces in "used" condition to give my Nebulon a weathered look.
  18. There are no instructions, but that doesn't look too hard to remake.
  19. Yes, some of them are slightly visible from the outside. Off the top of my head, I do not know how many this is, but there are some on the interior that are not visible in the end.
  20. Funny that you mock a price after recently saying that it is a "good/fair" price
  21. Sure thing, I'll whip one up today

  23. This thread will be used to discuss bricklinking and building Mortesv's Nebulon-B Medical Frigate. It can be used to discuss anything/ any type of advice for people who will be attempting this build. The original thread for the bundle for the MOC is available here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=135698 Time for me to start things off: I just finished placing my bricklink orders which totaled $794.00. I decided to go with pieces in "any" condition because in my opinion this ship is supposed to look sort of worn out and this will help to ensure that it is perfectly shiny squeky clean, it's an old ship. Hopefully my parts come in pretty soon and I can get started with this, currently Mortesv himself is still the only one with this MOC, but let's change that!!
  24. Hello all Eurobrickers! Today is a great day for the community as a MOC is making its long awaited release to the public! That's right, Mortesv's UCS-Scale Nebulon-B Medical Frigate now has plans ready for purchase The purchase of these plans includes a professional grade manual totaling at 1,493 pages, the LDD files used to create the manual, an excel spreadsheet covering the 531 unique parts lot and their quantity, and a bonus LDD file that contains to scale models of fighter ships to put next to Nebulon when it is on display! So to recap, a purchase of these plans includes the original LDD files, a 1,493 page instruction manual, an excel spreadsheet parts list, and a bonus LDD file with to-scale fighters. The final price for this awesome bundle is 50 U.S Dollars ($50). If you are interested in purchasing a copy, please PM me or send an email to chrdvorak@hotmail.com The final MOC contains 5,728 pieces, which would make it the largest Lego Star Wars set if it were released on shelves. The ship measures about 4 feet long when completed! A lot of hard work went into this project on both the designing end and the manual end, and Mortesv and I are very excited to give everyone the chance to build this awesome MOC! Here are some images from the manual: May the force be with you and happy building!!!
