This is looking really great so far. It's awesome to see someone include an accurate interior to their AT-AT.
-
I cannot wait to see the finished product :)

Has anyone decided to make this MOC? If so, how much would you estimate the cost to be?
-
This looks really nice and I'm really excited to see how this compares to the one TLG will be releasing

Searching ebay for any existing Invisible Hand listings (I am now tackling that ship to go along with my Venator), I stumbled upon this.... http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=121721496210&globalID=EBAY-US

Sure thing! And i guess i was just so overwelmed that i forgot to mention the hanger!

I just completed this awesome MOC and left a video review and time lapse of Anio's Venator on Youtube. The last portion of the time lapse got corrupted for some odd reason which is sad but everything else is there as well as a comparison to 10030!

What is the update on?

This is so awesome! Between this and the Sith Infiltrator, i think i have my next two projects! :)

Very simple what I have done for my falcon, star destroyer, and now this. I simply get the LBG base with black lever for about $0.02 eah and then hunt around bricklink for levers with a light gray lever and an odd color base (black, blue, white, yellow, red, just not light gray thats expensive too). Now finding these in a large quantity can be tough, but it is certainly worth it. Then i just take the light gray lever and swap it with the black one on the LBG base.

So my recent waiting upon my final bricklink orders to come in for Anio's Venator has led me to try to renovate the UCS Snowspeeder to save a huge chunk of money on the canopy. I made this in LDD and it will hold up as well as perform all hinges that the original design does. However, to achieve this, I had to make the canopy 2 plates taller, which really is not that big of a difference, only an expert in the set would recognize the difference by the naked eye. This additional height also led me to adjust the slopes on the outside so they are not just plates stacked up on each other distorting the look. All pieces I used are made by TLG and are readily available on Bricklink. The final adjustment contains 105 bricks (the original contains 67). The only issue is that the windscreen that I used has an odd separating wall where the two windscreens meet, so unfortunately the only solution is to not be a purist and cut the pieces. As for myself, I am usually pretty purist, but to save this amount of money on a model I've always wanted, I would be willing to do it. I could even go back later to replace the parts I adjusted because currently my issue is that there are no windscreen pieces on bricklink available to buy. As you can also notice, I changed the trans-black 4 x 4 hinge plate to white as this would save a ton of money but doesn't look too different. As for the photos, the adjusted canopy is on the left and the original is on the right. The wall I refer to as needing to be cut is seen in the 5th photo. https://www.flickr.c...0/in/datetaken/

It's official! My last bricklink order was placed today, so pending me receiving all correct orders (totaling 921 pieces), I will be preparing to build this ship soon (hopefully next Friday with my current schedule). Currently I have a huge bin filled with my currently owned 4495 pieces, all sorted out already thanks to the sellers I bought from, so this will make the build much easier.

I attempted, and failed at this project, sadly. I just could not get the darn thing to not collapse when I put the side armour on, and I couldn't get the head. I would love to get back into this project, but I fear i will once again end up with 6200 parts scattered everywhere

The ones I found recently (and yes, snagged) were 12 dark gray holders at $10 each rather than $18 per tan
-
As in $20 for the tan magnet holders?!
-
So what could be the next large ($400+) set that TLG will release. I pray for an AT-AT like Cavegod's or the Nebulon B
-
Any hints to your next MOC?
-
So as I am nearing all parts ordered for this project, how does one move this ship from spot to spot because I will be building this in a different spot than where it will be displayed
-
Essentially the whole green vs blue color debate is up to you Anio because if somebody likes it in the other color it would be quite simple to change it
-
Lots, and I mean lots of parts (4800+) towards Anio's gorgeous UCS Venator
-
Can we get files for these creations, they're great!

Are you saying it is possible to try and build Kelso's version? If so how do people get plans for it or something of that nature

I am currently in the stage of gathering parts for my Venator (4132 pieces currently) and want to also make this ship, but I really wish it was to scale with a venator. To me, and I'm sure other Eurobrickers, if the MOC was 5000+ pieces, I would still do it if it was scaled to the Venator. At the same time, Anio himself did not make the model so he did not have much control over how big the MOC would be, however, he could possibly redo this MOC to a larger scale, but I'm sure that he is busy with all of his other genius MOCs (such as the sith infiltrator I saw this morning, great job!).
