[BTV1-OL] Watchful Eyes in Westface
blackdeathgr replied to Corweena's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice ground technique and minifig choice. Having tried both, I would say Stud.io is way more promising if you get the hang of it.- 16 replies

[OL-MRCA] The guns of Terraversa
blackdeathgr replied to Keymonus's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Excellent cannon, writing and above all photos that really make this vignette looks way bigger! -
The Second Terraversan War - Submissions Thread
blackdeathgr replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Concentrating TV affair/war builds in a single thread is certainly more helpful. Good job guys! May the best (bluecoat) faction win! -
[Cooke, Terraversa] Opportunity in Chaos
blackdeathgr replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That cell photo is epic! I particularly like the wrecked wall. You can go now Mr Cooke. The wheels of fortune have started moving so your services are no longer required -
[OL Troop Raising] Letter from Breshaun
blackdeathgr replied to Captain Genaro's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Just Epic! Marching soldiers, the building, and the tents are just beautiful! White rimmed hats really stands out and so are the drummers as Ayrlego said. Oh, and I really liked the flag and the irregular baseplate. To victory boys, to victory! -

Nice one guys! I keep admiring the natives' upside down red scarf with the red 1x1 round plate. Looks so natural. -

BoBs Discussion : Fleshie or Yellow heads?
blackdeathgr replied to Count Vroskri's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Yellow, yellow and yellow for me. I find them to be more akin to the old metal soldiers figures where none complained about their uniformed faces. Unless I finally get over my obsession of not removing minifig hands and arms. Then I will have finally reached that Zen point where I could use licensed torsos and legs with yellow hands and heads which spells perfection to me. -
Everything is out of reach for the time being, even for me . At least with their Duplo, they are exercising the noble sport of building skyscrapers, then deconstructing them, then fighting over their pieces. Happy times!

[COR - Sistership] A Show of Resilience
blackdeathgr replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice vignette. The trans clear bricks remind me of a stormy "foamy" sea. Also I was always wondering whether using this type of custom(?) fabric "coat" required minifig arms removal or not. -
Wow, nice arched bridge design! I am guessing that the arch is made of wrought iron given the black color and I find it a fantastic piece usage. If I had to improve something, it would be the spots that connect the two dbg plates with the vertical lbg sides of the bridge so as to hide these gaps under those plates (maybe a single 1x2 plate on each side would do the trick?). Nevertheless I find this a really unique and successful design. Also since I find that cannon really well built, we could use a close up for ahem, "reference reasons (tm)" And of course, "To glory sons of Oleon! Eternity awaits you!" Hugo D' Offren was heard saying as he was writing a letter to the Foreign Legionnaires commander from the safety of his home office all while his toddlers were making a mess of all the surrounding house tearing curtains and stuff

Wow, wow and wow! Amazing ship, detailed pics and excellent playability! Oh, great base as well! Clearly though blue crew would complement the ship's colors way better

Obviously Dutch Renaissance photo filter! -
That, too, is an option of course. I forgot you are the infamous Sea Rats . Beware of the mud pits, the poisonous snakes, the bugs, the mosquitoes etc etc. If you need help, we will be down the road drinking ourselves and celebrating the Mardi Gras Oleonaise!

Nice landing! Especially the semi-demolished wooden wall (and the exquisite grading of the sand) looks wonderful
