[Sep FB1] Barracks, Port Woodhouse

Yeah, rrrrright... That's why they are marching... Great build as always Ayrlego that somehow reminds me of the "Age of Empires" video game. The technique of the base in particular is the new "hot thing" these days and you absolutely nailed it! -
Excellent! Coincidentally I was reading about Gillan (the actress) today regarding her possible starring at the next "Pirates of the Carribbean" movie.

Champagne and Banana Milk

So cute!!!! -
I will echo Keymonus on the in-game Faith stuff. Also, while myself not a fan of microbuilds either, I believe your build is truly well done. I already imagine it with "proper" colored bricks (i.e. white and red/dark red)

Very enjoying story, well picked photos (huge improvement over your earlier ones) and nice builds. Keep them coming! Regarding (subjectively) subpar builds or not (that otherwise tell a story or are built in a spur of the moment/as a fast reply to an event, or anything similar), my opinion is that if you feel that a certain build isn't worth it, you can avoid licensing it as a money generating build. Or post it, listen to comments in order to improve it, then enhance it and then license it. At least, that's what I am doing all these years. We are a helpful grudge-free community that all we want to do is have fun and try not to game the system at the same time. Cheers!

Nice one! Although I would prefer some tiling on the surrounding wall (or some more detail rather than tiles all over), I still find the build excellent and azure color for sea has just become my favorite as it makes excellent contrast with lbg and brown! Finally, the irregular wooden tiles at the front of the building, the chickens and the painter on the roof are my three favorite details.

Gz people! I guess quarantine definitely spurred imagination Gz to @Ayrlego too for his excellent narrative and explanatory writing!!! I found it the best way so far to encorporate results while narrating the events.

[GoC] Sugar extraction, Port Raleigh
blackdeathgr replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Although I am not overly sold on the sugarcane plants (I really don't know any other credible technique/piece for their stem though - maybe a 4L bar but then it would be too simple and somewhat ugly), I really like the whole process being depicted and the base elevation is as always gorgeous. Plus, this fine establishment can one day produce material for LEGO plants*... you never know... *possibly with a warning explicitly stating that will possibly disindegrate in 5-6 years or not to be handled in ambient temperatures over 40 degrees - I am just a mechanical engineer, not a chemical one so I really don't know
