[TC10] Unimog U 400
syclone replied to syclone's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Guess what...PROGRESS: Installed pneumatic switches , the internal routing will be done with rigid hose LDD Note: in the LDD I created brick build versions of pneumatic components which are in the groups for their easy localisation -

I also like this scale , mostly because of those tires -
[TC10] Classic Locomotive

Interesting to see what you will come up with, but I think that by using 4 cylinders you could make it go without flywheel. Each cylinder would be at one of the four possible stages so the locomotive never stalls. -
I used to apply them, but when I discovered the Lego community and started MOCing I peeled off as many as I could and now all the unused sticker sheets are stored and I'm ready to cut them If needed in a MOC. The only ones I keep are the Nitro Menace ones, because the model is assembled

For me, Racers I remember those beautiful boxes from Tiny Turbos, the models were amazing. And no, no way Speed Champions is a substitute to the awesomeness of Racers. I just love the Nitro Menace, need to get the other two studless models

This topic is the best , thanks for posting this. About the last one: "would be a great introduction for kids into Lego" LOL, even juniors has more details. "Would be a good addition to a collection" Are you sure about that?

I just can't stop Thanks, I hope the final model won't dissapoint PROGRESS: Changed the steering, obtaining almost 2 studs of clearance Added possible pneumatic PTO on front (the black tube). LDD -
Does anybody know why the pneumatics are so expensive? My plans on getting 9392 are being destroyed because of the cylinders and switches I'm missing :( BTW I have 18 units of the T-piece

Because the trailer actually shows something interesting what creates audience . Maybe a photo of the shape of the car(with the light behind it, so we only see the black shape) could work better in this case- 35 replies

I promise I will try my best There is a smaller version by LaixPROGRESS: Fake engine installed, it will be a bit inside of the cabin The shaft on the front is the PTO.I plan using gearbox clutch elements to archieve an optionally engageable PTO to the drive for some attachments The suspension will be done by 2l rubber pieces LDD file -

I have to buy 2 switches and one mini cilinder Getting it solved , for me TC = Technic Challenge -
My personal recommendation is the 42040 fireplane from last year, it provides a great number of useful parts and looks awesome as a display model if wanted. Also if you want to get into cars the 42039 is a good start

I want it to be orange, but I don't have many pieces in orange. Other option is lime, but would need to dismantle the Nitro Menace which has stickered assemblies. That leaves me three options: White, Black and GreenAll my previous TC entries were green, so probably will be green. All this can change until the deadline, I plan getting the 9392 which has some orange panels... PROGRESS: Done some work on the rear axle , the model doesn't has any diffs. LDD file here's the blueprint : Still have to solve the fake engine, suspension, HOG ,PTO's outputs -
Thanks Jim, I created the topic, will make the chassis in LDD, then build it IRL edit: it seems like I'm slow typing

Good day! Just instantly got the idea of making a unimog with pneumatic attachments. Functions that will be included: -4x4 -Fake engine with moving pistons -Pneumatic ports on front and rear -Mechanical outputs on front and rear -Attachments using these outputs -Tiltable cabin -The PTO's can be engaged to the drive -Tiltable bed -HOG For now the front axle, has steering and drive. Probably will have a pendular suspension on front. I made some more progress, in an hour the images will be, right now can't upload them. LDD file shows the actual progress. I also made a folder on Bricksafe Also I used Sariel's scale tool to get exact dimensions of the model based on the wheels

Wow, I am also not a big fan of non-Lego parts(But yes of hacking them) but I like this method, will have to try. Could be very useful for reinforcing the chassis of a car. Do you have images of a pin with the screw inside?
