  1. Highly doubt it. Price per piece for this set is on the higher side, but my guess is it would be much cheaper to just buy it from TLG instead of bricklinking the pieces.
  2. And almost 300 more pieces... Tantive IV looks way better than Assault on Hoth, but yeah, it's a pretty meaningful comparison.
  3. It's gonna be a pass for me. It pains me to spend 270CAD for this when I spent 230CAD for the UCS Slave I, which has more pieces and is (IMO) much more beautiful. I know the exchange rate from USD to CAD is nearly perfect for the Tantive, but it still feels to me like paying more for less in recent years. Here's hoping TLG goes all in with the rumored UCS Star Destroyer.
  4. Official images have appeared on Instagram. They're pretty much just clearer pictures of what we can see in the front and the back of the box, showing the play features.
  5. Another leaked pic on instagram. Shot of the box, shot of the Tantive from the box (but without the box art), and the six figs included. So how soon is the press release?
  6. Check out these schematics to compare the Tantive's proportions: The cockpit is pretty much as wide as the main body. I hope some people mod the cockpit - I'm sure it would do wonders to this set.
  7. I think the old one was about 52cm long, but dont quote me on that.
  8. Yeah, I think one of those things that makes the Tantive look odd is the size of the cockpit. I'm sure if you were to mod it to make it smaller it would make the whole set look much better / proportionate.
  9. It kind of looks busy to me. Maybe the greys pop out too much? Anyways, these are the first blurry pictures. Surely the official pics will make the set look more appealing.
  10. Leaked image on instagram. Looks... strange? Somehow looks smaller (maybe thinner) than the 2009 one, but I'm sure it's bigger. Box looks like a UCS set box (despite some differences). Interior space in cockit and main body (main body has Leia sitting at a table, I think? Like in the 2009 Tantive). Cockpit looks like it's using the cone piece from the Millenium Falcon cockpit.
  11. I'd be very surprised if we got this Tantive IV as well as another UCS set. I wonder how TLG labels things UCS or Master Builder. If this Tantive IV is UCS-sized but has play functions like a normal set, why not label it Master Builder? Maybe TLG just wants to keep with the same trend as the Tantive from 2009. Rumored price is 200$, right?
  12. Looking forward to the reveal. I guess we'll have to wait until the 30th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars for the next Tantive IV after this one?
  13. UCS Y-Wing was revealed on april 3rd. What are the odds we get the reveal for the May 4th UCS this week?
  14. ESB looks good, but it's not nearly as interesting as the Statue of Liberty (obviously). Do we have a price for it yet?
  15. Can anyone distinguish whether the ferris wheel in the background of the amusement park set will actually be included? It's kinda gray-ish / in the background so I'm not sure. If it were, woah!
  16. Thanks! I'm glad you like it, but I won't be making instructions for this MOC. I have no idea how many pieces I used, but I'm guessing at least 3000.
  17. It's still up on instagram, I don't know where else people look for leaks. Sort by recent, instead of top.
  18. There is a picture out there of what looks like the top of a beige, grey and black tower. Does anyone recognize it from somewhere? Maybe it's the next Landmark set?
  19. I wonder if TLG would use the new cone pieces used in the UCS MF cockpit to make the perhaps-coming Tantive IV's cockpit.
  20. Hubba hubba, what a beauty! Awesome shaping on the front.
  21. I don't like the colour of the baseplate. It reminds me even more of the Grand Emporium and how empty it was. A DBG baseplate would have worked better, IMO. The lack of tiling on the floors hurts! That'll definitely be modded.
  22. The interior is surprisingly empty. It reminds me of the Grand Emporium and the upper floors of the Green Grocer. The veterinarian isn't too bad, but the apartment and the garage could use more mini builds or tiling.
  23. It's nice. Not as beautiful as the DD, but still pretty nice. 270 CAD hurts, but at least it's proportional to 200 USD. I like that the inverted corner and the protruding gas station bring some variety to the modular street. Despite not being as likeable as the DD, both in terms of design and value, I'll still pick it up come January 1st.
  24. I usually wait a few minutes until brickset puts the press release up. Does TLG post the full press release on twitter or just the pictures? 2 hours 15 minutes
  25. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. Less than 2h30 to go! Hope this hype is worth it.
