Umarak is definitely selling well where I live. A lot of shops have run out of him or have very few copies left. Onua is pretty much the same, ditto with Lewa. The rest though still seem to be sitting there.

You can store the bow, just use the connections given to you as extras for the 'shoulder shadow trap', but it on his back, put an axle part of the bow in and voila! At least that's how I do it. The sword I think you only use the brown part and connect it to the blade, leaving the black one on his leg as the scabbard

Hmm...I remember seeing a lot of the old G1 still on shelves way past their release dates (so Toa Nuva in 2005, etc...lots of Bohrok-Kal too) I also purchased my copy of Keetongu in 2008 which is at least three years past its release...but then again 2005 wasn't the best year of G1 so I don't know

It looks cool, but I feel the lack of orange makes it look a bit too bland. I guess one could probably put one of the Commander Cody pauldron pieces on there to make it more vibrant

Toa Nuva 2016, my big and small modifications
Fulcrumfan91 replied to PrimoUltimo's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Pohatu is your least favourite, not the worst of the figures. 'Worst' is suggesting there's something horribly wrong with the figure...which there isn't, it functions well, is fairly durable and I really quite like him as he is. Except for the colours. Still wish he was more dark orange. If we were to say a figure was the 'worst' because of durability or functionality, I'd then argue Kopaka and Onua are the 'worst' in that respect (and again, I really don't think that's the case) because of how badly their arms are constructed (that whole...red axle thing...it's an awful connection, feels very weak) -
So, according to the TTV's latest podcast, they interviewed Ryder Windham (apologies for any spelling errors) who said that there are no more books for Bionicle on the horizon including graphic novels after the ones already planned. What does everyone think about this?

Clone sets are pretty much a wave of sets...that look exactly the same, except might have small differing variations in weaponry, colours, masks, or other features. So the Bohrok are clone sets, so are the Rahkshi, Toa Metru...pretty much most of Bionicle with the exception of maybe 2007 sets, which to me at least looked very different from one another. 2008 as well. Past 2008, I don't know. As for suggested sets, my first ever sets that got me into Bionicle were Tahnok and Lerahk, a bohrok and a rahkshi. I'd pretty much recommend getting those two (of course, if you have a different colour preference...the beauty of clone sets is you can pick from other colours), as well as maybe one of the Toa Nuva (I'll say...Pohatu or Tahu Nuva), and Nokama of the Toa Metru. For titans, Brutaka and Hydraxon.

You know what? I said Lewa was the most disappointing Toa of this wave earlier on, but that was before I had him in my hands. Having him in hand, I have to say I was dead wrong when judging the set before getting him. He's easily my favourite of the six, maybe because I have a soft spot for Lewa, but I easily like his build the most and actually love some of the designs. The arm issues don't bug me at all. Weapons are still meh, but uniting him with Uxar makes both sets easily my favourite of G2 so far. Glad that I was dead wrong.

I love the scissor function. It's super fun. I'm hoping lava beast has something that is similar....it looks like he might, but we won't know until at least June.

Pretty sure it was spam....also, read his username. Pretty sure that supports the fact that it's likely spam.

What would you like to see in future bionicle sets?
Fulcrumfan91 replied to Ikaatril's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I would love to see a return of Master-like designs next year for the final toa....the return of keetorange for Lewa, interesting new mask designs as always.....oh goodness would I ever love to see elements of uniter gali integrated with master gali with that beautiful colour scheme...I feel the uniter gimmicks kinda limited the Toa this time around, they don't feel as complete as the masters by consequence. I would love to see new elements.....so something a la bohrok kal but for the toa to give them even more interesting designs. That would be awesome. I don't know though, lego usually is pretty good in terms of design, at least for me. Obviously a large Titan not as ugly as Umarak the destroyer (again for me). Otherwise I'm pretty satisfied with what we've gotten so far.- 25 replies

I can't tell from the Toa voices...but Gali I kinda hoped would have a deeper voice (that's mostly my Mask of Light Gali bias), while Ekimu and Makuta's voices are great for me.

So as in the question, I thought it'd be interesting to discuss which of the Toa, both versions (masters, uniters) are your favourite and why that is! For me, it's extremely difficult to pick out a pair that I really like.....I feel like the Uniters have some interesting bits while the Masters don't and vice versa...but I would probably say the two Onuas we have gotten are my favourite....in terms of consistency so colours that I like, weapons, masks (they aren't my favourite....but I can't say I dislike them unlike some of the other toa)..so yeah.
-
Hey...this is interesting....but Tahu without his mask in the background of the lava beast art....that's his master incarnation! At least the leg and torso constructions/designs definitely are. Kopaka is I'm his uniter form in the storm beast art.....Onua is absent from quake beast's art. All the art looks awesome....storm beast's is my favourite.

Storm Beast is brilliant. That one is probably the only one I'll get from this wave in particular.
