  1. So i was right, this is a continuation generational connection....I highly doubt that is the case, but Im free to be proven wrong in 2017
  2. Ok perhaps ive misunderstood what is meant by the two generations being connected. Can anyone clarify what this specifically means?
  3. So...the Toa were create, trained by Hydraxon to save Mata Nui, they are on their way to Mata Nui, but get lost at Protodermis Sea for a thousand years, finally get to Mata Nui, remember nothing about themselves, battle Makuta and his minions to the bitter end.....then get teleported to a different dimension, getting their memory wiped again to save a different dimensional world? Yeah.....if that is truly the case, then overcomplication of a story is clearly lego's plan. No kid today will understand the references, and they will have to research a ton about the old G1 story which already is a lot of work...that does not sound like a good idea to me. That does not in any way sound ridiculous to me. In fact, the idea that the two are directly connected is more ridiculous than denying the connection between the two. The references are their to please older fans, I highly doubt that tese are directed to the kids watching animations.
  4. I completely disagree....if they have any twist planned for G2, it's that even though there are hints of both generations being connected, they are not in any way connected. It's also not that obvious....the Vahi keeps its name, but so do the Toa from the original series. The lower half doesn't need to be the mask of time from G1....also I don't remember the original Vahi being able to travel to other dimensions (if the connection is that kind)...because it wouldn't make sense for Okoto to be the future or past..whatever
  5. Im a bit late, but I just got MmvSG and it is awesome! I love Ekimu with his legendary mask
  6. Honestly, I at least hope we get one final wave in 2017 (apologies if this does not belong to this topic in particular...would be very grateful to be pointed to the direction of that topic) and that it's not a repeat of the Stars...like six toa with new designs and a big Makuta would be completely fine with me....I'm just worried they might not even bother with that wave....but that's probably just my own insecure feelings regarding the theme :( and ill explain the last sentence by saying that I feel the designers for Bionicle have been super awesome...but the sets feel like the ideas were under constant constraints by someone.
  7. So this would be in Toronto, Canada
  8. Ok can someone please explain this to me? I went to a local Lego store, they had only two Bionicle sets and told me they would not be getting anymore, using the word 'discontinued' when I asked why this was...this was the same place I asked a few months ago and they said exactly the same thing then. Today, I visited yet another lego store, which only had protectors and scorpios available on sale. I asked about them having more of the sets, they said that Bionicle has become online purchase only to make room for other themes....they did not confirm that the theme would be discontinued however. What does all this mean? I get that Bionicle is likely not continuing beyond 2017, but Im puzzled by the remarks made by different Lego approved stores.
  9. I still think there is a zero percent chance G1 and G2 are connected....just seems unlikely.
  10. Aw I can't seem to upload another pic of the Vahi....the file's too big. Love its design....I get a lot of Master Lewa vibe from it, does anyone else too?
  11. The new Vahi looks incredibly cool!!!
  12. Has anyone seen the Disney minifigures out in Canada by any chance?
  13. Wasn't there only one interview with TTV? He said it in that one.
  14. I'd say save your money for the new G2 sets...as they're more expensive than any of the old G1 sets, but you get way more from spending that money, as opposed to buying old G1 sets which are often fairly over-priced from what I've seen. If you like them enough to want to spend a little more than is warranted (that is, on brand new old sets....used sets I personally am not as into), then sure. But I still think it's worth saving for the current sets.
  15. Good question, I personally do something similar to you. Most of the sets I have are bagged by separately, exceptions being G2 sets like protectors and their respective Toa, and I just have them in a box or drawer. Only the ones I feel like taking out and displaying every day are displayed...that changes often..I should probably stop building then deconstructing them as much as I do...
  16. Hands down, Pohatu has the best arm design. They're the most unrestricted, decently designed arms (albeit..still a bit short). Gali's arms are hard to move around because of the armoured shells, ditto with Onua and Tahu. Lewa's arms are just way too short and the connections make it difficult to really pose him well. That said, I do like the ideas for Lewa's arms...the execution just didn't work. Kopaka's arms are meh.
  17. Wow that makes me want to build both sets up again....Tahu is beautiful
  18. Ah, thank you for the suggestion! :))
  19. See here's the odd thing though....the stone sets this year and last year aren't even brown. Last year's was dark orange, this year's was dark tan...and I feel like the dark tan is worse (personally though...it doesn't look too bad on Pohatu...but I much preferred the beautiful burnt orange from last year) and maybe that's a factor as to why the stone guys aren't selling well. Also, I would be open to him becoming a toa of sand.....but...that would possibly mean more tan colours? I don't know if this does anything, but does sending LEGO an e-mail asking for a certain colour do anything at all? I'm gonna assume it doesn't because it's ultimately up to them...but please LEGO bring back the dark orange!
  20. Essentially the question I'm asking. So of the six main colours, which ones have sold best (if possible, order them). I know that red and white are usually the most popular, and brown are the most unpopular. I'm also wondering where I could find official info on this...if that's even possible. So in order, I'd like to know where the green, blue, and black sets stand as well.
  21. Yeah....it's not a particularly great sign for the Stone sets, but it might be just a..promotional thing? I'm honestly not sure. But this year's stone sets are on sale currently. I'm pretty saddened by their lack of popularity, because I feel there's a lot more to them....but....oh well. Kids don't like brown.
  22. I think that's because they've been discontinued, so now if a store runs out of those sets, that's the end of them. I am no longer seeing any of the winter wave sets available on LEGO's shop in my country region....also....Pohatu and Ketar are around 25% off and they're the only ones that have been discounted, as well as Mask Maker vs. Skull Grinder.......man that seems like bad news for the Stone sets....
  23. I would have to also agree about the masters also filling the shelves. They outnumber the 2016 sets in some stores that I've walked into.
