  1. Same problem. If I ever have money for flying tickets I certainly will come over ;)
  2. oh my... A DISCWORLD BUILD! These are the best characters in the whole series
  3. I love the angled door
  4. What the .... How can you produce so many perfect builds in close succession :P I like the road as well
  5. Thanks! Yeah I saw those lights and couldn't resist... Thanks! Yes I finally have the parts to show our own colors;) Thanks, and criticism is always good! I agree to raising it. I used the two 6x16 dark tan plates as original base, and built the green part around it. Then I placed the wall, including the tan part as dirt/sand. I will fix this for my incoming gate phase2, which will probably use a quite similar construction! The pier was built solely to make the last picture possible :D However, I agree that it is a weak spot, I will need to solve that.
  6. So here is the first of some incoming builds. I wanted to create a wooden wall without pallisade bricks, I think I succeeded. (Quite partsconsuming though :) ) This was the first time I ever touched those 3-leave plants, I just ordered them and never had them before, so I had to try how to work with them. (apparently they are much more flexible than I imagined) The trumpet is gonna pop up a lot, I play it myself so I love that brick. It is also my first real shot on an irregular base, I think it turned out fine, but it could have been much smoother. I actually want to create my own settlement, im working on a story for it right now, this will be included too. (I know, the 4 categories for a hamlet all need to be fullfilled, lots of work to do :D) Wall0-2 by David de Rijke, on Flickr Wall0-1 by David de Rijke, on Flickr Wall0-3 by David de Rijke, on Flickr Wall0-4 by David de Rijke, on Flickr Wall0-5 by David de Rijke, on Flickr (and this is where I use yellow rounds for)
  7. I use them for stained windows indeed, although I didnt see much chance to use them yet. Also to create blood-stained water (the red ones), and the yellow ones for... well... They weren't THAT clean, in those times. By bulls, I mean the faction from Knights Kingdom, which has become my signature. I have around 50 of them, shields inclusive. 2016-05-19_05-35-54 by David de Rijke, on Flickr
  8. I just bought for around twice of what I could afford :P a few hundred transyellow and -red round plates, some greenery, some streamers, 15 new wolfpacks and 35 more bulls (somebody did them away for little, couldnt resist)
  9. I really like how you added the snow. I have always trouble with snowy landscapes :D
  10. exactly this, for we both teamed up to represent us on the Summer Joust ^^
  11. Sure I am! Also some Age of Mitgardia's, I will recieve the last shipments of bricks this week. Also prepping a larger build
  12. Nice build, I especially like the shop
  13. I was messing around with some supports and then decided to build an entry to AoM :D This is my first time photo-editing (you can see some traces :D). I think I improved really a lot already, but there is so much more to fix (pointing at lighting, definitly lighting) it's actually a bit inspired by SK's phase one^^ Im building two wall phases as well, I hope to be able to present them soon :) Mind the spoiler ^^ Gate1-1 by David de Rijke, on Flickr Gate1-2 by David de Rijke, on Flickr Gate1-3 by David de Rijke, on Flickr
  14. Thanks, that will do indeed :D Pretty sure I have some of those somewhere
  15. wow that looks really nice :D I love the patterns you used in the walls, and the floor
  16. Nice, welcome to the best guild :D I actually have a question: I need to attach a 4x4 radar dish as a shield. What is the most elegant way to do that? With a tap is the most logical thing but it doesnt look too nice ^^
  17. Like I said in the Avalonian page, I would like to be that Mitgardian ^^
  18. My idea for the 'Historical event' part was the destruction of Lindisfarne, so I need a monastery anyways ^^ I will ask if it is permitted to join two groups (or SK can reply to it here :D ), if it is I would like to join Brickcurve as Mitgardian.
  19. I realized it is 1st of may today. Do not expect too much here, this is an older build collab with my 10y/o brother, I tried some building techniques here (walls that are a half stud deeper, orange wall/ 'toilet') and was left with too little time and bricks to finish it, But I brought my minifigs and prepared this castle for a quick story before the due date :D I just agreed at the homefront that I'll need a better camera and that I will make a lego studio somewhere. My next build will be small and detailed instead of big and too little bricks:) I tried to edit these pictures but I fail with photoshop :) So, enough self-negativity and I hope you like the story progressing :D Oh by the way, I finally purchased some flags in the ríght colors (green/yellow), so now I can show my own allegiance as well. Part one Swearing Allegiance Bull's Eye Fortress After the arrival of the strangers, it was done with the quiet in the Bull's Eye. 'My king, the men are not happy with your decision. They don't trust these strangers, and some are preaching to revolt.' With these words Davok disturbed Ryban in his private room. Ryban stood there, gazing to his weapons hanging on the wall, where first the picture of his wife shined, before she disappeared. They looked outside, and indeed, it seemed like the assembled men grew angry. Some abused the fact they had to muster to speak to all the Bulls at once. Then, suddenly, the guards all blew their trumpets. A band of warriors was sighted, heading to the fortress. They carried Kaliphlin banners. The envoy from Nocturnus saw them, and they headed to the gate, shouting that these men came for them, and thus they would deal with them. While his guard prepared his axe, the envoy seemed like he was channeling something. Flames seemed to grew from his hands, and from the inside of the walls sounded yells, both terrifying and enthousiastic shouts. Then he put his hands together, and a beam of flames was aimed towards the attackers, creating a fiery zone before their feet. None of them was burned, nonetheless. They turned around and started to run, apparently it was not that good an idea to invade this fortress. Loud cheers sounded from the battlements, as the Bulls saw they could trust these strangers. Davok realized that all of the invaders had seemed quite northern, none of them had a tan colored skin. Also, the envoy said he knew the attackers even before he could see in that direction. Something seemed wrong here, somehow he had the idea there was something going on... Post was too large, More pictures:
