    Nice review. Your image quality is outstanding. In my opinion this set was the best of the first wave of ultimates. Not only does Lavaria come with wings and a set of spider legs, she also isn't a rock candy mess like the Knight ultimates. Her character was also exclusive to the first wave, giving this set even more appeal.

    Well, I would know. I made it. The 2017 NK thread probably won't get close to this number of replies simply because it will probably be started in August instead of January and we already know what NK is this time around. That is, unless this becomes a super thread like the 08/09 Castle thread, but I doubt that will happen.

    I appreciate the effort and analysis, but it's just some random thread on Eurobricks where we lightheartedly poke fun at people's lighthearted and fun creations. Are you sensing a lack of funniness or lightheartedness? If so, we can find ways to lightheartedly increase the levels of fun in this thread to the point where no one will be able to take our critiscism seriously. Funny, isn't it?

    I'm a little late to the party, but..... Love the fact that four figs, two of them exclusive, come with this set. I was expecting a Golem, but the Outpost (Which is a nice add-on to the Castle) and the undead hover horse certainly make up for it. 530 parts for just 40 bucks is a steal as well, but I think I've mentioned this before. I have to admit that I'm a little surprised that the grunt included in this set wasn't a Crust Smasher, because they only show up in one set this wave while the Ash Attackers are in Aaron's Arrow Striker, Axl's Tower Carrier, the Volcano Lair (2), and now the Black Knight's Mech. Whatever. It's also kind of strange that the Mech itself contains so much blue, but maybe an all-black mech would make it look evil. Overall, I like what I see. Day one purchase for me.

    Last year's summer Elves sets were on the shelves around here in June. I think it's safe to say that Whiparella is in the BKM, as it is the only Nexo Knights set we don't have a picture of unless there's another exclusive out there that we don't know about (which I doubt). Her tail would eliminate her from being a candidate for the fig in the DK book. The only option left would be the exclusive figure that comes with at $75 purchase in August, but once again I don't see a tail showing up in a polybag. I expect the set to include Robin, Whiparella, a knight (Possibly Aaron, because of his rivalry with Whiparella in the show), and maybe a Chaos Monsterr about the size of Sparkks.

    Huh. My bad. Nevertheless, besides Star Wars I've never seen a wave held from the shelves until August. They'll be out by the end of next week in most places.

    1. Simpsons House, essential for any Simpsons fan 2. Temple of Airjitzu, classic set and more iconic than the Kwik-E-Mart 3. Kwik-E-Mart 4. Detective's Office, more iconic than the BB and has tons of details and clever builds. 5. Brick Bank, a good set but smaller and more expensive than it should be. 6. Batcave, there are better DC sets on the shelves right now.

    If you really don't want to build something yourself, use the search bar. There are tens of thousands of MOCs on this site and I'm sure someone has made a MOC of what you're looking for.

    Yeah, I don't like this one. Looks like more of a Juniors set than a regular City set. A pass for me.
