  1. Very nice MOC indeed. Reminds me of the Toys-R-Us Bricktober "town" from the last two years. Size wise, not at all the building represented here.
  2. City - Deep Sea - 60095 - Deep Sea Vessel Lego. com $119.99 Bargain Hunt $64.00
  3. Great car, Drive one myself. But not one you're thinking of. Mine is called an Infiniti G37x in the US. Skyline 370GT FOUR in Japan and other parts of world. An R34 model would be hot.. Hell I'd take a current GT-R
  4. Like a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van??? :) < Its the predominate ambulance rig in Metro Atlanta... And yes, you call 911 in Metro Atlanta, odds are one of these will show. Not a City or County Fire Ambulance.
  5. This past weekend's finds... Yep Bargain Hunt... 75054 - AT-AT Lego.com $109.99, Bargain Hunt: $ 66.00 75055 - Imperial Star Destroyer Lego.com $129.99 Bargain Hunt: $79.99
  6. The section of boom you are referring to in the claws.(in Lego photos) Is actually designed to be added into the crane boom. Quick disconnect style. And if this is the only "extension" used, a longer string is NOT needed. I was designed to have this piece installed as an option. Watch the Designer Video, they actually show this feature.
  7. 75104 - Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle: Lego: $119.99 Bargain Hunt: $72.00
  8. Bargain Hunt... 60081 - City - Pickup Tow Truck Lego: $19.99, Bargain Hunt $12.99 31023 - Creator - Yellow Racers Lego: $29.99 (Retired, or about to be) Bargain Hunt: $19.99 75105 - Star Wars - Millennium Falcon Lego: $159.99 Bargain Hunt; $ 90.00 They also had 10236 - Star Wars - Ewok Village Lego: $249.99 Bargain Hunt: $150.00, had to draw line somewhere, maybe next weekend. It drops 10% in price if still there...
  9. Very nice. Was wondering after seeing the picture if anyone would try MOCing it. Looks great.
  10. 9398 4x4 Crawler brought me back. Went on the road for work, made some extra money. Decided for once I was buying something for me. Had to go to TRU to spend a gift card for grandson. Went into the Lego section, and it was between the 9398 & the Unimog 8110. The Crawler one out because of the R/C function. Figured that would be it for me. That was Feb 2014. Here we almost two years later, and with the great deals from a store called Bargain Hunt, (But not all from there) I have added: All of which are the A model built out of the box unless otherwise stated. I do mod some slightly. to get it a better look, to me anyways, move add "lights" etc. 8051 - Motorbike (B model built) 8445 - Indy Storm 9396 - Rescue Helicopter 9797 - Logging Truck (This one is heavily mod'ed. Added dual wheels to rear two axles, blacked out a lot,) 9798 - 4x4 Crawler ( Blacked out a lot of the gray bars, added Lego LEDs for headlights, fog lights, and tail lights) 42000 - Racer 42007 - Motocross Bike 42009 - Mobile Crane Mk II 42020 - Twin-Rotor Hellicopter (Two sets both A & B models built) 42021 - Snowmobile (Two sets both A & B models built) 42022 - Hot Rod 42025 - Cargo Plane 42028 - Bulldozer 42030 - Volvo L350F Wheel Loader 42033 - Record Breaker 42036 - Street Motorcycle 42039 - 24 Hours Race Car 42040 - Fire Plane 42042 - Crawler Crane 42043 - Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245 And a crap load of City(for grandson) & Friends (for Granddaughter), as well as the last 3 creator vehicles (VW T1 Camper, Mini Cooper, Ferrari F40). The Fairground Mixer, The Simpsons House etc. I think at last count my little collection is over 50,000 pieces.
  11. GREAT MOC!! Little history: Jeep didn't make a Willys, Willys was a vehicle manufacturer. Willys is also pronounced "willis" not willy's) Willys made a variety of vehicles called the MA, MB, CJ2, CJ2A etc, which were commonly referred to as a jeep (which most say is a phonetic pronunciation of GP (which is General Purpose), Ford and American Bantam also made a "jeep". They built the MB under licence during WWII for Willys to help with the war effort. Willys was sold to Kaiser Motors in the 50's This would have been the first time 'jeep" was used with a capitol "J" vehicles were known a Kaiser-Jeep's or simply Jeep. Kaiser-Jeep was bought in 1970 by American Motors Corporation (AMC) When AMC & Renault partnered in 1980, they could no longer make the "Jeep" for the US military (law forbids buying foreign products from military, there are ways around this) So the military side of the house was spun off into a separate, independant company called AM General which we know as the maker of the HMMWV (Humvee), not to be confused with the junk built under licence by General Motors called Hummer, which are nothing more than a badge engineered Chevy Tahoes(H2) and Chevy Colorado(H3) with a body package and an very high price increase...
  12. Very interested in the trailer. How wide is it? Is it comparable scale to be used with the AROCS? Thanks
  13. Not always a good deal, sometimes a let down. This weekend case in point.... Walked in to one of the stores, and low and behold The Technic Mercedes Benz Arocs (set 42043) was sitting there. Lego.com sells for $229.99. Bargain Hunt had for $129.00. I was like yes!!!! Already had one set, but wanted the second to build the "B" model. Got it home. The box was damaged, crushed, had been wet at one time or other. Taped together with packing tape. But kind of the heaviness of the the "new" set I bought at TRU. Didn't sound like bags were open when shook the box. When opened. The first bag out of the box was filled with wheels for a desk chair. Quite a few of the #1 bags were missing as well as a few others. Good thing for me I had built this set within the last couple of weeks so remember the bags quite well, so didn't spend any time building, then get let down. Good thing for Bargain Hunt, 30 Day return policy,... So it will be going back. Not much of a "parts collector" or MOCer, I build the set and display, and play with them with my grandson. You win some you lose some at Bargain Hunt, Though in my experience, I have won a lot more than lost. This is only the second set, I will have returned because it was missing quite a bit. Couple times its just been a piece here or there missing or broken. They do seem to be moving North as time moves on. They are based out of Alabama. Have moved over to Georgia, and up into Tennessee and Kentucky. Evansville IN is unfortunately the closest to you right now. Lately their toy/Lego selection has been down. The only other similar stores I've seen are Odd Lots & Ollie's, but have never seen Lego at either of those. Sorry, originally from Columbus, Ohio home of "Big Lots" which was originally called "Odd Lots" at the beginning.
  14. AWESOME MOC. Perfectly represents what a Rat Rod is supposed to be. Not quite the purpose of a Rat Rod. You don't "fix them Up" to look "good" They look good the way they are. A "fixed up" Rat Rod, is a Hot Rod. The whole purpose of a Rat Rod, back in it's origins, was a counter to the market being flooded with high priced "Hot Rods" that you couldn't even drive, were made just for shows. So the Rat Rod was born.
  15. Correct USD price is $59.99 per Lego.com, and the price I paid at TRU....
  16. Bargain Hunt scores of late... 4209: Fire Plane - Normal $59,99 Bargain Hunt $32.00 < Yes once in awhile they have a retired set. Where they get I have no clue. 42039: 24 Hours Race Car - Normal $129.99 Bargain Hunt $79.00 71006: The Simpsons House - Noram $199.99 Bargain Hunt $120.00 When I bought The Simpsons House they also had 10244 The Fairground Mixer. Normal $149.99 Bargain Hunt had it for $99.00. Might pick it up if they still have next time...
  17. A place called Bargain Hunt 9397 - Logging Truck $80.00 ($139.00) 42009 - Mobile Crane MKII $115.00 ($219.00) 42021 - Snowmobile $12.00 ($19.99) Lego Store: 42000 - Racer $90.00 (box was damaged) ($129.99)
  18. DUTCH AIR AMBULANCE They are actually quite common, though not as much as the Helicopter Medevacs ADVANCED AIR AMBULANCE ANGEL MED FLIGHT
  19. Very nice. I like it.
  20. nm wrong post
  21. Nope, Not everyone likes the same things. Haven't seen the movie nor do I care to. So it's not even on my list. (I'm here, because it is a cool little set, I also have the Ghostbusters set, and could care less about that movie as well, just liked the set.)
  22. Maybe a "flagship" I would say "Display Team" Jet, would be something along the lines of a Blue Angel, Thunderbird, Patrouille de France, Black Cat, Breitling, etc, etc....
  23. Was a pretty good build. Liked how the "tank" works. Rudder moves, but it is not mechanically connected to the control stick, only the ailerons, and elevators are. Flaps are immobile. Prop is connected to the wheels, so when you roll it, the prop spins. Overall a pretty good model for the price. Picked mine up last weekend at TRU.
  24. Thanks for the info. Never got into the text abbreviations, so never heard of IRL. Which is kind of weird because when it comes to Navy and Aviation, I can through enough around to make your head spin. LOL Keep up the great work.
