There is a store here called Bargain Hunt. Great place if you aren't one that cares what the box looks like. I get sets there anywhere from 30 to 60% off the Lego.com price. One example would be the 10214 Tower Bridge. Lego price $239.99, I paid around $100.00 Out of 40+ sets I've bought there, all sets have been 100% complete for parts. One Friends set was missing the sticker sheet, The Volkswagen T1 had one of the door hinge pieces crushed. Replaced by Lego. Picked up the 42000 Technic Racer at the local Lego store for 20% off cause the box had a slice in it.

2015 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Don't think I seen this mentioned. Kind of new getting back into Lego. But I was doing up an inventory of my sets. And this kind of peaked my interest. Could there be EIGHT more cars coming??? I say this because of the set numbers.... The LaFarrari is 75899, then the 458 Italia GT2, McLaren P1, and the Porsche 918 Spyder are 75908. 75909 and 75910 respectively. So where are 75900 through 75907??? Could there be more on the way in the future? Or simply TLG don't adhere to sequential numbering??? -

TLG missed the mark with the wheels too. Should have been gray/silver not black... -
What is the deal with "30256 Ice Bear Mech"?
P3_Super_Bee replied to samurai-turtle's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Got one(30256) free today(01MAR2015) with a $30.00 USD Lego purchase at my local TRU. They had a crap load of them. Maybe trying to get rid of with the freebie promo? -

75911 - McLaren Mercedes Pit Shop. $29.99 USD @ TRU Will say with the chrome decals was a tad bit tricky to photograph. The full set. The pit has a built in launcher. Press down on the Blue/Black lever and car will launch. Bad picture but the yellow element is 95820, Brick 1x2 with horizontal holder, element 30043, Plate 1x4 with reverse hook is attached to the rear of the car. It connects into 95820 above for the launcher action. The driver: Pit Crew: Both pit crew members have the same torso's. The MP4-29: with the nose clip removed: The Pit: -

Correct. Some of the islands are/were military bases. I have managed to see quite a bit around the world. Though most of my time abroad was spent on the Asian side. Few stops through Europe on a couple of "around the world" flights. Not too bad. Cost Of living about same. More Mountainy here than Ohio. Love the off-roading in the mountains. Weather a touch better than Ohio, in the winter. I'm thinking this is it.

Thanks all for the welcome. Spent some time in Alaska. Mostly in the Aleutian Islands (Adak & Sheyma) Hawaii not bad at all for the weather. Cost of Living really sucks. $750,000 is average price for a house, and that'll get you a shack. $7.00 for a gallon of milk ON BASE. I always joked you couldn't get by unless you made a $100,000 a year. I sat down and figure in all the allowances I got, and it worked out to like $95,000 a year, and we lived paycheck to paycheck. Starting pay at Walmart is like $15 an hour, And it won't even get you close to what the 8 bucks an hour you'd get at the Walmart down the street from your house would get you. Have three kids, Boy and two girls. Grand kids are one each from the girls. They are in their 20's.

Thanks all!! And yes, feel free to use ideas if you like. Though I unfortunately didn't write down any type of directions or parts listing. It was kind of build as I go. Come up with idea one, get pieces to do that idea, and then either, go back and get more, because I didn't think it through first or missed something. Or look at it completed, and go "I think this would look cool if I did this" then head back to buy pieces for second/third/fourth ideas. LOL... I think it took almost 4 months to get it to this point.

Nothing to spectacular here. Maybe an idea or two for those building cities. Picked up the original 3221 set off eBay. Didn't really like the "Lego" brand truck. Like how many you see crusin' the highways? Like zero. Seen a nice DHL sticker pack for the truck, and went for it. Though it's not like there's a ton of these running around on the highways. Also did a couple of clones. Maersk sticker pack was also from eBay. Also did a few build mods to the tractor and trailer(all were carried out all three trucks). Can you spot them? The DHL... The Maersk... All three, with an private owner/operator in the middle...

That's what I do with my Granddaughter, she's 4. She's helped me build of couple of mine, and we built a small Friends set together(her first non-duplo set, will have to look at the Juniors). She follows the pictures pretty good. Still has some trouble getting them to click sometimes on her own, but she don't give up easy either. Hell, my grandson is going to be a monster builder when he gets older. He's 18 months. Hates his duplos, wants to play with my stuff. I let him under a close eye. He really likes the 9398 4x4 crawler. He will rip pieces off then try to get them to go back on. Sitting on my lap he plays with some of the trucks/cars on the desk. He likes to take the mini figs hair/hats off. He is doing real well putting those back on now. Rarely are they straight, but he can get them back on. Can't wait till he's older and we can start building together. Until then we'll keep busy playing with my trucks. I have the Lego semi that came out 4 or 5 years ago. Then I built two more of them in different colors. He loves "driving" them around on the floor making motor sounds. LOL

Hi, I'm Jeff. an AFOL in his 40's. The down and dirty non-Lego background: Started life out in Groveport, Ohio (big claim to fame right now is Le'Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers Running Back went to High School there). At 18 joined the Navy. Spent the next 20 years, working on the Lockheed P-3 Orion.(hence the screen name) Also happened to spend the whole 20 years based out of Hawaii. After retirement tried to go back to Central Ohio and get started in a new career field. Not easy to do with Aviation in your background. So ended up in Kennesaw, Georgia, where I currently work for Lockheed-Martin in Final Assembly on the C-130J Super Hercules. The Lego Background: Had sets as a kid, didn't we all? When in Hawaii started to buy them for my step-son. Ended up buying all kinds of Airport sets, made quite a few MOC aircraft. We so far as to take colored electrical tape and completely cover his bedroom floor in tape to build an airport. When moving back to Ohio, all the Lego sets/MOCs were loaded into a box. When moving to Georgia, one box made it (the spare parts bin. According to wife, the box with the good stuff in it, was left in the basement of the old house by my direction.(Don't remember that, but probably did, I know some stuff was left purposely there. Never really though much of Lego... Then Last January. I did a trip to Florida for work. When returned, I had some extra money in the bank(per diem/expense reimbursement) My grandson had a gift card for Toys R Us. We went there to spend his money (He's now 18 months old) While in the store I thought, I'm spending some money on ME for once. Saw the Technic Racer 42000 on display. I wanted that... Guess what after two TRU, no racer. At the second store they had the Technic 9398 4X4 Crawler, and the Technic Unimog 8110. Thought both were great sets. Settled for the 4x4 Crawler, though the RC feature would be cool with my Granddaughter(now 4) and Grandson. Since then what I have have picked up quite a few sets. As well as my granddaughter being introduced to the Lego Friends line with a little set. I also have crossed over to Mega Bloks. But only for a select few sets. Like the Hot Wheels licenced ones(had Hot Wheels as a kid too) and the Cat Construction sets. I'm not a out of the box leave it alone type of guy either. If I don't like it, I will mod it to my liking. IE http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=104808 Though run across one here and there, where it looks great out of the box, and can't come up with any mods to make look better. The ECTO-1 Ghostbusters car comes to mind here. Jeff
