How solid is the motorcycle mode? Does it look like an actual cycle or more like a horse rolling on its belly? I did a couple posts back, but I'm glad it was brought back into discussion. Very interested to see how they'll handle the app. I'm a little disappointed that Macy is yet another princess, and I can't help but wonder how far the story will get in 20 episodes. Let's hope it doesn't turn out like Chima.

Hmmm, they do look pretty similar. In fact I can see one of those hexagons on the left panel (right below the LEGO logo.) Both being displayed looks pretty plausible. I find it funny both have orange accents, yet they choose yellow pixels.

Same, I feel if Dr. Who was being displayed it would have more of a space-warpy effect instead of these techno lines. It doesn't fit in with the Dr. Who style. The colors may be off, but I'm certain this is Nexo Knights. XD "Holy alkali metals Batman, the salt levels are off the chart!"

*cough* Ignika quest *cough* In all seriousness, I feel two years would be an alright amount for a quest like that. The question is how do we top the MoUP? The Mask of Time?

The problem lies with 2017 being set up to be the "final battle" After 2016 the last great mask is the MoUP, which probably means Makuta making his ultimate move. It's the Toa's destiny to defeat Makuta and whatnot, it just wouldn't feel right if another team did it.

The second bin looks more like a spiked vine to me. Perhaps it's a hint that next year will take place in the wild?

The 5 empty squares at the bottom are probably for the secret letters hidden in the episodes (Unity). I just love it when they have little secrets like these hidden in the background. Same, my only gripe is the narrator's line delivery. I guess he was trying for that "gasping" feel, but it just sounded like he was stopping mid-sentence.

Nope. I would not expect an official release for a while. On a side note, I'm torn between ordering the graphic novel on kindle or physical. I want to read it now, but I like having my comic books in physical form.

I'd like the animations to take more of a side-story role, perhaps centering more on the island's legends and villiagers instead of the Toa. Best example I can think of would be the 2002 Bohrok animations

Great artwork as always, although I wonder what's the deal with all the yoga poses. With this rate the Toa are going to be as flexible as rubber by 2016.

I'm more interested in the writing and atmosphere here. I hope this show gives us some depth to the Toa, Protectors, Villians, and Okoto itself even if it is a retelling of the 2015 story. A proper music score (not the same song remixed) would be great as well. If this show turns out to be better than the animations I would like to see it tell the main story and leave the web animations to tell side stories.

This is amazing MOC as always, just looking at that chest make me want one of my own.

I'm more a fan of 2d animation. The backgrounds are often more artistic, the colors pop, and it eggagerates emotions through mild distortion. In some ways 2d animation is an art form, the visuals are so simple the watcher interperts it in different ways. This makes conflict or emotional moments even more intense.

Awesome MOC. Love the glittery purple and back spikes. My only suggestion is to give it a more "Magic" weapon.

It's fantastic! The lower torso is a little underwhelming, but it fits with the tail. Favorite part is easily the function, gonna have to try something like that later.

Because that is totally going to end well. Be the bigger man, let it go. Negative attitudes never solve anything. I was running out of ideas by #5, it was just an observation. The Elemental Being idea has aspects of both the protectors (face design, humanoid) and the creatures (combination). It's interesting to see what it could have been.

This is the third attempt at writing this post. I'm a little burned out by now so forgive me for putting this in a list format: Textures 1. The three smaller sets pull of the natural flow and look. The three larger sets add detailed addons which throw off the look and textures. Creature design choices: 1. Head is simple enough so we can project emotion on it, a common tactic. 2. Large head proportions and stubby limbs to resemble infancy, more adorable. 3. Heavy use of trans-plastic. 4. Respective metallic color schemes to the Toa. 5. While the art displays all the creatures having blue eyes, this is not the case. Taking a look at Melum shows the eye piece is in the blended transcolor of the head.
