  1. Thank you! Dang, this art is incredible!
  2. Im getting an error, saying it cant resolve the request for the url. Maybe its a phone thing, will check out later.
  3. Gonna have to get both to satisfy my thirst for taaaaaaaaaan. But Obiwan definatley looks better and YES! a brown cape!
  4. My bad, I meant that line to be read as "two streams of red and blue energy" as in one stream of red and one stream of blue. The red stream is closed and mostly obscured by grinder's left calf but still visible. I tried to get a closer photo of the forge, but all the clear pictures have a lego display tag in front of the bottom left of the forge. The only picture I could find without the tag was blurry, I thought I saw some niches for streams and small glow of energy but it could very well be shadows or my imagination. The forge has these kind of valves that regulate the energy, the blue one is open but the red is closed. As for the skull squad, I have absoluty no idea of how they got the way they are, and its very possible they are or were in cahoots with Makuta. If they are against him, LOSS could stand a chance if he uses the element of surprise (Stealth hug of doom!) with an army of skull spiders or even better an army of mind controlled protectors.
  5. @Mandate You make a good point, I'm only really basing Grinder's motives on his name and box art. Regard the rest below as another theory. We do know Makuta needs the MoCr, the MoCon, and the MOUP from a promotional poster put out at NYCC. So assuming Makuta needs the MoCr for his grand plan and seeing that Grinder looks like he's melting the MoCr it seems they have different motives. So why would Grinder want to destroy the MoCr? Well, remember how the Barakii's plan was to destroy the Inigka, bathe in the energy and become normal again? I think that's Grinder's plan. As for the "infected" masks I think those are partly melted versions of the toa masks. Judging from the forge in MMVSG box art you can see 2 streams of red (tahu's mask) and blue energy (gali's mask) flowing into the forge. I think the only way to melt the MoCr is to combine all the elemental forces to create a powerful enough forge to melt the mask. Or, like you said he could be trying to reforge it for evil.
  6. Here ya go Together: http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/118822/1421696753m_DISPLAY.jpg Takanuva: http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/118822/14216967531_DISPLAY.jpg Teridax: http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/118822/14216967542_DISPLAY.jpg The author says it was at the Lego store in the Fairview Mall in Toronto last January
  7. As of now we don't know. There were some rumors of a toa-sized ekimu and a really cool takanuva vs teridax MOC shown in a Lego store but that's about it. Theory zone below: Seeing that the protector mask leaves space at the bottom, I think the POF child will don the Mask of time becoming a a toa like takua. It's just a theory of course, a BIONICLE theory!
  8. Makes sense. He could be controlling LOSS and the spiders with his connection with the golden spider mask (which I'm pretty sure he forged). So he's sending the spiders out to search for all the golden masks of power. It's possible LOSS may return to stop grinder as grinder's box art suggests he is trying to melt the MOC which is one of the masks Makuta wants
  9. Some people have been comparing LOSS and his crew to the Bohrok and if that is so what exactly are they doing? If they are protecting the ancient city why are they going out of their way to attacking villages? Why do they want the golden masks? Are they trying to deliver them to Grinder or is their another motive. Before the summer story comes out I actually want to know what happens when a protector or toa* gets mind-controlled by a skull spider. Do they stay intelligently evil or become rampaging beasts? What exactly does the spider force the victim to do? *Lewa
  10. I said his bio and appearance SUGGEST he's a ruthless killing machine, but beneath his black exoskeleton lies...another layer of black exoskeleton, but beneath all that is a misunderstood creature with a heart (and mask) of gold.
  11. Made me smile. Just a little.
  12. Eh I guess they're disappointed how easy LOSS went down because his bio and appearance suggest he's a ruthless killing machine but when the toa actually fought him he just sorta stood there (like the real thing :) ) and fired webs out of mouth. I'm not expecting a Makuta level fight but when the baddie is not even really attacking its just not as cool.
  13. Before I thought the city looked like Destral. Now I cannot unsee that. Mind is blown.
  14. VERY nice. I love the slender look of the water one.
  15. Wow this looks great! Definatly gonna take notes on those legs.
  16. somehow I got Tahu "I AM THE MASTER OF FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIYA" Thought I would be an onua or gali but apparently my temper prevails. Okoto reminds me of the Slizer planet. Its kinda cool to have such a drastic island because it makes each region more "extreme".
  17. Funny, a couple days ago I was thinking of new enemies the toa would face and I came up with a group called ( bare with me here) the "Iron Armada" basically they were bionicle versions of the TF2 robots. A cowincidence I'm sure but maybe I should start wearing my tinfoil hat...
  18. Nice. To me the mask looks a lot angrier than the normal version ( looks like he's got an angry unibrow)
  19. They'll probably dodge that bullet by calling them "the elder" or "the village chief " or something of the like.
  20. Honestly I was a little disappointed that bionicle only got a poster ( but it's pretty cool) in the newest club mag. I was kinda hoping for Lego to start making those bionicle comics we know and love. Really hope they get around to doing that
  21. 5 more days till the german toyfair right? hopefully the sets will look better then.
  22. Any idea on what that multi colored circle on the side of the MM vs. SG image is?
  23. Looking at MM vs. SG I noticed on the the side of the box there is some kind of circle of elements. The colors seem to match the trans color of each skull set. Is it possible that instead of a mask in each set there is a part of a circle and when complete the circle is a forge for making elemental masks? Certainly seems like a good motive.
  24. Just noticed that sheild/buzz saw and the trans gun piece. Definitely a must buy. But man those bones on grinder and basher need some covering. I think the reason these sets are so bare is to lower the cost. My best guess for the reasoning behind lower cost is for army building. Don't know how well that will turn out. Still super excited for the summer wave though.
  25. I thought it was better writing that rather then what actually happened. Let's just say I need to go pick up some things. Gotta say though the new parts look promising. Wish there were more colors, but hey it's something
