  1. I think it's fine like this, these excavators are often used on breakers yards, demolitions of houses and barns and at recycling plants. At least here in the Netherlands they are often used for this purpose, not so much for digging. Was just thinking, would the grabber from the 42006 fit this excavator, if it where converted to pneumatics? Would be cool on this one, it would look like the crane on a breakers yard.
  2. Hi Max, Now I have looked twice, I agree with you, the rear should be about 3 studs lower. But other then that, tho is the most realistic concrete mixer I have seen in Lego so far.
  3. This is one cool looking truck. Realm like the sleek design of the mixer. And it's not a Scania, that's also a BIG plus for me Any chance on instructions this time???
  4. At which dealership are you working? Somewhere in Holland maybe? I still think you should scale down the cab, would look better. You could take a look at Dennis Bosman's site, he has build a lot of Daf trucks, the are studded though, but I think the look better than most studless versions.
  5. Could you make some instructions or photos off how you've done it. Do not own the set yet, but maybe over son time I will. Love the better stands of it. More realistic.
  6. It is nog the biggest one, Jurgen Krooshoop has built a big Manitou telehandler with full P.F. But this is also a very, very good one. This would definitely be one for me to build. Love it.
  7. I love Daf trucks. But IMO the cab is to big, it makes the wheels look to small. The cab is way to long also. I could not build such a truck from scratch myself, so I think it is a good attempt on a Daf copy. Love all the tech stuff inside.
  8. But out off which sets come the most parts besides 8109???
  9. Does anyone have an idea for me?????
  10. But which models are used for parts besides 8109? 42009? 42030? Would be nice to know if we are to build this beauty!!
  11. In Holland these are common. I have driven several off them. But building a working version is a challenge for me. I ain't an expert builder. Can build difficult vehicles, but need instructions to do so.
  12. When are we getting the review????
  13. Who will get this beautiful set for review than? I'm bursting from anticipation!!
  14. Thanks for the input, but the Arocs is much smaller and it dos not have a studded frame, so I don't think it will fit. My truck will be a 1:13 scale. And a bogie system uses the suspension off both axles to lift the rear one. It won't be steered. The original has a 8x4 drivetrain, mine will have a 8x2 drivetrain becaus off the bogielift. This is the link to my Brickshelf folder, here you can see the whole truck I have build. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=561622 The original is from www.brickforge.de mine is just a other color and has a trailer. Only some small mods made myself. Here is a link to a explanation off a bogie system. There is a small picture off the workings. http://www.google.com/patents/EP0283500B1?cl=en
  15. Hello people, I am thinking off building a second Actros, but this time a container system with cable winches. It will be a 8x2 with a liftable 4th axle, this is where I want a bogie system to lift it, like in real life. I know roughly how it works, but have no idea how to build it on a studded chassis. It dos not have to be studded, but the chassis is. The original truck has a 8x4 drive train with studless suspension. It is a 1:13 scale. It's 22 studds wide. And will have a compressor and pneumatic systems. Bogie will likely be pneumatically operated.
  16. Hello Efferman, The leafsprings you have made, can they be used on bigger scale trucks? Like 1:13 weighing roughly 3 kilo's? And can they be build in a studded model's chassis with two steered front axles?
  17. Maybe because it isn't an overpriced set like the Porsche, that doesn't do anything that makes it special.
  18. I think so to. It does need the same type of tires like the real one. Don't like the dual rear tires at all.
  19. Someone mentioned the placing of the front axle would look better placed more forward. It will look better, but did you do that? Could not find that out with the picture on Rebrickable
  20. Did you make any mods on it since you've posted the last pictures?
