  1. They are red and blue. I also have a second battery box with a black 4.5 motor of the same design as the yellow one. I also have a very sizeable amount of blue track. There are also 3 other train cars with the same prebuilt base and one with a longer prebuilt base. I am pretty sure I did have a train with the black 4.5 volt motor. Ps I found a 744 box with pieces probably dispersed everywhere in my Lego collection I am pretty sure I did have a train with the black 4.5 volt motor. 2. I have no idea because it is a moc. I remember my parents always encouraged me not to keep my sets together so i have lost any record of what trainit was. The moc has a yellow 4.5 volt motor with a black battery box and 3 normal 4.5 volt cars and one larger car
  3. Thats a shame they are leaving. They were some of my favorite trains
  4. I dont need any specialized tracks for shallow turns. I use an 'illegal' lego tactic and use straight tracks to make turns that look just fine
  5. Hi everyone, I have dug around in my parents bouse and i found a 4.5 volt train moc from when i was a young child. The only problem is that oneof the magneta is missing. Is there anywhere i canget a few more for cheap? I would really like to show it but some misc bricks are missing and i will have to put in new batteries . I would just like your advice on how to refurbish it properly never having done so my self. I am going to post pictures soon when i get everything fixed.
  6. There could be a hospital because of the recent releaae of the hospital plane
  7. Nice job. I did the same thing with the cargo terminal plane and now it can hold 8 pallets and 14 boxes
  8. i will keep that in mind. Thanks for the warning ;D . That is the city of my dreams. I will start probably with the parisian restaurant then palace cinema and then the amazing brick bank
  9. I love the family house because 1. It is large and will offe a challenge for your little girl 2. The exterior offers play features and looks very nice 3. The interior is extensively detailed with a turning on light and a bed and fireplace with a desk and chair. 4. There is also a very nice car with a working brick built garage. 5. The other builds have a lot of thought put into them and will offer a great play experience. 6. It has many great pieces for mocs
  10. great idea. I think I shall do that.
  11. Family house is good
  12. Not baD at all. That uses some very nice building techniques! Brick on!
  13. Nice moc but I am not crazy about the colours. Try to convert to shell and it will look amazing.
  14. Clever use of that x wing windshield. I have quite a number of hose so maybe I will make a car dealership with this type of car. The old gas powered cas cause too much global warming anyway. ;)
  15. I will keep that in mind however I was never fond of it. I would get it just as a collectors item. Thank you
  16. Thx everyone for your advice. I think I will start with either the Parisian restaurant or the brick bank. The Parisian restaurant has such a French style and looks exactly like a restaurant I went to in Paris. I am french myself an find it very touching. As for the brick bank it is just such an amazing build with the office, laundromat and vault. The silver gold bar pieces on the wall are amazing and lithe thing I need in my city is a bank because I have barely any Lego money. So these 2 are my op choices along with the palace cinema because it Is retiring soon.
  17. The reason I can buy them now is because I gave up buying Lego Harry potter of e-bay
  18. Hi everyone, after many years of resisting modulars because of the price I have finally broken my resolve and decided to start collecting modulars. I would like to ask what modular I should get first. Please provide your advice. Thank you in advance. -legoboy22
  19. Cool, these sets are very nicely put back together. You have a wonderful collection indeed. This has given me the reminder to go into My old Lego box to find some old mocs from when is was young. I think I am gonna start with my old 4.5 volt train. It has quite a few missing parts but i think i can do it.Thank you
  20. I think I will come up with something...
  21. What I mean by the plane having the aft engines is normally in Lego the 6 wide planes have the aft engines do they are scaled appropiately compared to the 8 wide medium to long range jets. The plane in set 3181 had aft engines and there was nothing wrong with it because the scale was apropiate. In the set 3182 the plane had engines on the wings and decent rear landing gear and might have been longer.
  22. very nice build indeed. One small problem.. This does not fit with the city line because its so much better! Fantastic job again. Brick on
  23. Hi everyone I would like to know your opinions of the new airport coming out in august in the USA. As a lego plane enthusiast i have had lego planes since the old 4 wide builds and missed out on the 2010 airport set. Do you think this set is worth getting or not. I am in a sort of dilemma because in my opinion its pros are equal to the cons. For the pros - It is the first Passenger airport since 3182 which is now ridiculously expensive - The control tower section of the airport can be added to my current one from 60022 cargo terminal - The plane has one of those doors that are the only type of large pieces that i actually like -The airport is sizable and contains a nice revolving door - The plane has a bathroom - The plane also has a flight attendant cart Cons- - The plane is too small - It has a ton of huge specialized parts - The rear landing gear is terrible - The airportort has nowhere near the appropriate amount of details - The control tower is on top of the airport - The price is 100$ and there are only about 700 parts - The engines should be on the wings because large planes do not usually have engines on the tail section - The wings are too far back - There is no jetway to get to the plane - The details that are in the airport are awkwardly placed - There is no co-pilot - The plane can only hold 5 passengers - The cockpit has no control levers - There is only one door - There seem to be a lot of stickers This is my list of pros and cons so i would like to ask you to evaluate it and if you recommend this set. Thx in advance. -Legoboy22
  24. I will have to agree with you on the fact that there are far to many specialized parts in the new planes but for children age 5-10 they are ok. I also agree that the old planes are great for somewhat realistically sized airports where the planes do not dwarf the buildings.
  25. Hello Everyone I would like to discuss a point that many adult Lego plane enthusiasts probably think about. What is better the old classic smaller planes of the past, or the new large and more realistic planes of today. I am going to try to give an unbiased opinion because I have had many smaller planes as a child. In my Opinion the older classic planes are better for airports in city layouts because they are smaller and allow for realistic size airports and runways. They are also great because they use few specialized parts. On the other hand the new larger planes are much more realistic and allow for more play inside with over 15 seats in most of them. They are also better for layouts purely dedicated to the airport. It allows for massive and impressive airports. They are also more fun for smaller children who think bigger is always better. This is only my opinion. Share yours below and provide an opinion. Thank you in advance.
