Yes!!!:) I got one of the last ones in the store. I am so happy that I got it. It was really worth the price. I have already ordered some power functions.

I got the HE and it was worth it.

I still might get HE. I hope it is still available. It is a shame that is is retired.

I have a fair amount of 4.5 volt track. I combine it with my PF track with a system that I use. I also have 2 motors and battery boxes.

Horizon Express - extended with "passenger ending"

It does not matter. It is a good and creative idea in my opinion. So it is now a different train altogether. It is a hybrid :) -
That is really nice the way you put 2 levels and kept it compact.

PF Battery Box or PF Rechargeable Battery Box
Legoboy22 replied to legotrainfan's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I would use the battery box with 2 sets of rechargeable batteries. One will be running and one is ready to be put in the train when the other runs out. I think it works. -
Hello I would like some advice on my layout to make it compact and use a fair amount of track. I have 160 tracks. A lot of it is 4.5 volt. The rest is power functions. 20 PF straights, 56 4.5 volt straights. 30 PF curves, 60 4.5. I have 2 switches of each type. Thx.

I do not go to display my trains in a club although I have a simple fairly large layout stretching across a room in my house. That is for all who are wondering.

Horizon Express - extended with "passenger ending"

Nice modification but on the real TGV the back loco is an actual locomotive. Does not matter. Really like modifying of actual shape of the locomotive. -
Thx

For those who are wondering I am PF with ordinary battery boxes and rechargeable batteries in them,no 9 volt. I can not afford enough 9 volt track for a good size layout. It is a shame. I wish that I was 9 volt. Although I am curious about the price of the 9 volt motors. Could someone tell me?

Great job. I like the detail of the tipper and the car. I really admire it.

Get the 7939 before it gets to expensive. It has a good value in the parts and includes track and PF. I have it and gave 16 curves and flexi track which is not that reliable. Luckily ot comes with 2 switches and 8 straight track which is a little hard to find these days. The minifigs are not to bad either. Right now the price is going up so get it soon.

I would like to know what everyone thinks about power functions and 9 volt systems. What is better PF or 9V. Or are they the same. Thx

Nice idea. If I get HE I will do that.

I really like the HE and might get it in December Like it

I think it is good for fixing irregularities in your railway but horrible with more than two in a row. TLG made a big mistake by replacing straight track with long portions of flexible track. This slows down trains and makes them slip and slide.

Nice job. I really like the change of width on the pullman. I also love the design of those doors.
