Thanks so much everyone, I really appreciate your comments ! Thanks so much. The back was a real challenge, so far the dark grey isn't really sunk in a little bit as it should be. It's flush with the top and bottom surface. Not ideal, but It will satisfy me for the moment. With the vector thruster thingies, originally I wanted to put four of the 1x2 curved studless slope piece in light bluish grey held in between the thrusters and the elastic bands, but that idea only held together in my head. Impossible without glue. It still looks alright though. The idea for the vector rings on the engines with that piece is one I appropriated from picardsbricks on Flickr. The curve is mostly owed to Jerac's as well. I'm really glad you like it all . Thanks ! Nowhere near lego set sturdy but surprisingly strong. I'm playing around with solutions to fill the gaps you can see on the top on either side of the cockpit section, some of them allow for reinforcement of the top 'wings' with a 1x2 plate, some don't. Ideally I want to allow for that but we'll see. It's adequate for the moment though. I'll add some more images of the progress of this in between the photos in the OP below. Plus some more developments.

Hi. Here's some photos of my work in progress at the moment, the RZ-1 A-wing. This is drawing deeply from the models of Jerac and others. I'll add more to this post shortly. flickr album link: https://www.flickr.c...157659454465594 First stage Optimised stabiliser design, completed greebles on the rear, cannon added, experimenting with solutions for the front taper, other minor changes Let me know what you think below or on the flickr comments ! (:

Your whole wing assembly is beautiful. I like some aspects of the fuselage a lot too. Seeing all of these T-70s is pushing me closer and closer to breaking and starting one myself!

I am so silly. Shelled out about $15 to get it from the US, because I missed out on Yularen earlier this year -

Hello again. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get ahold of 75096 sith infliltrator for a remotely reasonable price? $160 is highway robbery, and it seems to only be available at TRU. Any advice much appreciated. -
I want a little Dagobah hut set quite a lot. Dagobah Luke, Yoda, and dirty R2. It would just be a rendition of the tree which Yoda made his hut in. Maybe the dark side cave, but I would prefer just the hut with a little bit of Dagobah scenery, maybe the cargo that Yoda burrows around in. This is a massive void in my opinion that is well overdue for a release. Especially given the frequent recycling of the same ships over and over with few changes that we are often given. Bespin too of course. Hopefully we get 2 or 3 more sets just like with the Jabba sets, I feel like this is a possibility due to the size of the upcoming carbon chamber and the minifigs included. Still no Leia from the bespin escape, still no flesh Leia from bespin, still no updated bespin Lando or bespin Luke, the list goes on. My fingers are crossed, lego!

10212 for sure Got a killer deal today. $118 aud (~85 usd) for 75104. Haven't opened it yet. In australia, sales barely bring down the price of lego to what it equates to elsewhere, so this was a steal.

Cheers. I'm not very familiar with the pricing on the recent waves of Star Wars. Do Big W normally sell Kylo Ren's shuttle at 148$ ? Lego shop is listed at $170, 20% off that would be $136. First Order transporter is also listed at $138 while Lego shop au has it at $150. 20% off that would be $120. Do Big W normally sell this stuff at slightly below rrp, like the $40 sets at $35 and so forth? -

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knows what the go will be with sales on lego in melbourne over the next 2 months. Thanks in advance ! -
I just had a look at this again . It really is a beauty.

I splurged on a sealed set for around $600 (AUD) about 11 months ago. So obviously I can't comment on the challenge on getting all the parts for this from bricklink. Lots of ships in Star Wars fit somewhere in between light bluish gray and white in Lego colours. Snowspeeders, X-wings and Lambda shuttles are perfect examples of this. I wish the "very light bluish gray" colour was produced en masse, it would really complete the palette in my opinion. It's pretty frustrating trying to produce an accurate representation when of the two colours you have to choose from, neither really look quite right.

Poe X wing mods: no bands/retractable landing gear/full split wings

Looks great! -

Well done ! One suggestion I would make for the rear landing gear would be to use the 1x2 modified plate with male ratchet hinge on top instead of the 1x3 modified hinge tile. It looks like the 1x3 hinge piece poke out a little bit when retracted. -
My goodness, the wings in particular are great !

Beru, a handful of Padmés (droid factory? theed? mustafar? etc.) and many of the peripheral characters you mentioned are the big ones for me. I was excited that Owen was finally getting a proper lego treatment in the sandcrawler, but equally disappointed that Beru was omitted. It just didn't make sense. Unfortunately the only leaks we have so far are the factory snap of 75104 instructions. I'm holding out for a long overdue cockpit piece as well. Would you mind some show and tell? :) They just released a TFU battle pack in January plus the 2003 jedi starfighter as well. Maybe they're a final goodbye, who knows

With regard to Padmé, I was referring to the films. Satine's headdress has always weirded me out anyway

Ahsoka appears in 7 sets total according to bricklink, which I suppose is almost respectable. CW had an absolute deluge of sets though. Padmé's deal I'll never understand though. She has all of the coolest costumes as well! Lucasfilm, Kennedy in particular have been pretty emphatic about the elevated role and presence of women in this new trilogy. I hope that is also reflected in the lego sets. I think it's unlikely Rey will have multiple costumes (she's wearing her 'scavenger' kit on the Falcon as seen in the Vanity Fair stunt), as Finn does, but it basically an open secret that the little TFA set will be her speeder, and she'd be a lock for an appearance in the Falcon set also, which would logically include Finn in his deserter gear as well.

This, so much. Infiltrator could have included Shmi (never produced), handmaiden Padmé, Jira (never produced), so many other characters. But guess what we are really lusting after? The dozenth iteration of Anakin, which also appears in another set *in the same release wave as this one*. It's laughable. Star Wars is already dominated by male characters but Lego, with the exception of Leia for some reason has completely neglected just about every female character there is when there's an appropriate place for their inclusion in a set. This new infiltrator is the perfect example of this kind of thing. So frustrating. The same goes for the flash speeder. Perfect opportunity to include Padmé in her naboo outfit, which she wears for a significant part of the film, including its climax, but guess what? Actually we need more battle droids.
