  1. Seems legit. It looks really good, especially the shaping around the cockpit section.
  2. After finding some images of the buildable figures, I'm super happy about those so far. Boba Fett and Darth Maul look fantastic. Vader was completely unnecessary, I have no idea why they wasted a slot to give us a character we already have a fantastic figure of. Oh well, at least he has a removable helmet which is pretty cool.
  3. Wow what a disappointment. No new figures(maybe some updated printing but no new characters) and lackluster builds. Grevious's speeder is way too big with very little else in the set and little detail, Yoda's Hut is an okay design overall but needs to be a bigger, better set, the Tatooine BP is great for some but means nothing for me. The only thing of interest is the Clone Trooper/Jedi BP as I can never get enough Phase 2 Clones and I missed out on Ki-adi-Mundi and Coleman Trebor.
  4. The First Order Heavy Assault Walker(FO-HAW? can that be the unofficial abbreviation? regardless I'm calling it that from now on lol) looks awesome! I was really not expecting the asymmetry though. I wasn't able to afford the previous AT-ATs but now that I can I don't think I can pass this one up. I really like how they've updated the design overall with the shaping of the back section, the thicker, sturdier, saw-edged front legs, the inward bent knees(I don't think MandRproductions realized they are supposed to be bent inward as he has it like an AT-AT), the top mounted cannon, the Bombay(?) in the back, the (reported) faster movement speed, the darker grey with red windows, etc. It really does look like a gorilla, almost like a Zoid as a matter of fact but I think LEGO did an excellent job with the design. I do wish there was more usable space on the interior than there is but at least you can store a couple troopers and some ammo and I love the turret aiming function and the poseabillity of the neck. I do wish the side panels on the head were more firmly connected and the neck wasn't quite so loose but those are minor complaints overall. The figure selection is okay, though I really would've liked another Stormtrooper or Walker Driver . I really like the design of the Walker Driver.
  5. I've seen a couple reviews of both the Transport Pod and The Silencer and I have to say I like the Pod more than I thought I would, they really managed to pack as many play features and details in that little thing as they could(albeit with a metric ton of stickers, sheesh that cockpit looks like a nightmare to line everything up) I still love the Silencer but it's best look is from the top or at a downward looking angle as the bottom of the craft is quite flat and plain. It's amazing though that there are only 2 stickers in the entire set! The rest are printed parts or brick built details. I really like the whole center section of the craft, the cockpit section all the way to the back engine outlets, very cool design. I do wish the interior had at least some sort of control stick or control panel, I hate it when LEGO puts out vehicles with no way for the minifigs to drive them. The craft is also a bit on the thin side especially when you look at it head on. It's still a must have for me though. One of the reviewers I watched, MandRproductions started livestreaming the build of the Heavy Assault Walker so we should be seeing a review of that from him pretty soon too. I really look forward to that. You can already see that the cannon on the top of the Walker has a neat little aiming and firing mechanism.
  6. I got the mech dragon a couple days ago, I just haven't had time to post. It looks incredible, I love it! It's also a bit larger than I expected and man is it long! This thing is never getting taken apart, it'll be displayed with Lloyd's green energy dragon from the day of the departed wave. I'm generally a bigger fan of European dragons and the energy dragon is a fantastic set but I have to say the mech dragon is even better, kudos to the designer. Lloyd looks great, the suddle printing looks great in the light and I finally have a Garmadon. This is easily my favorite version of Garmadon. The helmet and printing are great and the cape piece looks good and perfectly covers up some of the glaring issues I have with the torso add-on piece. This is also the best version of Wu imo too, I really dig the cloth piece for his kimono. I haven't had any issues with my helmet. Clutch power is good and it's a nice looking piece. Like others have said, most likely manufactured in different factories.
  7. That makes so much sense! I couldn't figure out for the life of me what those pieces were supposed to represent.
  8. I just came from my local Target where the LEGO aisle was a ghost town. Literally the only thing on the shelf were a few Atlantis Justice League sets. I'll check back tommorow hopefully I can grab a mech dragon.
  9. Same thing here. I found it quite odd.
  10. Thanks for the link. It sounds like this is going to be a great game. I'm really excited about the rpg elements. It sounds like special moves are character specific but I'm okay with that. The most intriguing part of this article is the part about skill points and modifying certain moves to be more powerful or give more studs and the like.
  11. Well technically we do get one as it has been confirmed that Snoke is not human, just very humanoid with lanky limbs, but I agree, we need more aliens as I tend to gravitate towards aliens and armored characters, particularly as minifigs.
  12. Overall the sets look even better! I'm still not super impressed by the design of the pod but that's not really LEGO's fault. I am impressed that they managed to squeeze a few play features into it. I'm happy to see more of the Silencer, I really love the design, definitely getting that one. I'm still intrigued by the Heavy Scout Walker but I have to see it in action before I decide on it.
  13. Those moves look great! Hopefully there are many more to unlock. I really like how they are making it more like a traditional hack n slash game with the camera and special moves. I know we'll never get anything to the degree of God of War or DmC but it's nice to get better combat. The gameplay footage from sdcc got me really excited for the game. Ninjago city looks amazing and seeing the green mech dragon in action was awesome. That whole level is so action packed and the whole city feels alive, what with all the battles taking place in the background and ships flying around, just the way I like it!
  14. Wow a lot of good stuff there. We get a good look at She-Hulk, Black Panther and Wasp with brief appearances by Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, Nick Fury, Man Ape, Goliath, Surtur, a villain in the Hydra Empire (can't tell who it is but Cap, BP and Starlord are about to fight him) and what appears to be Tony Stark in a beanie and winter jacket. We also see someone in a blue jacket and spikey hair a couple times, not sure who that's supposed to be, maybe just a random civi but he looks like Human Torch from behind. There appears to be a level with fiery headed skeleton with black shoulder armor (got me really excited for a minute!)looks like a naked Ghost Rider lol. The video quality on my phone isn't good enough for me to tell who's fighting the skeleton but it looks like a big fig in the Surtur level. Looking good so far!
  15. It's okay, it wasn't as clear as I thought it was.
  16. Yup, some interesting reveals, they are really digging deep. I'm not a huge fan of the MCU Vulture's wings but I understand why they didn't use the huge brick built ones. Chronopolis is really coming along and feels so alive. The medieval England zone looks fantastic, heck part of that castle looks like it could easily fit into a Dark Souls game. NY 2099 looks amazing, I'll be spending a lot of time there, same with Hydra Empire. I really like that the vehicle spawning is essentially the same as LEGO Worlds. Any vehicle anytime anywhere and with the added bonus of seeing it built right in front of you. If Ghost Rider and his bike are in, I'll have that build memorized forward and backward.
  17. That's exactly what I said. Perhaps I should have better clarified who "They" are, I felt the context clues provided were adequate. I'm referring to the filmmakers, not LEGO, I'm fully aware the designers did the best they could with what they got, the whole point of my statement is that the last minute changes to designs likely hurt merchandisers, including LEGO and as a result there was likely some backlash. The prices I quoted were in USD, read THELEGOBATMAN's original posts a page or two back, I am aware $80 euros is too expensive, that's not what I was referring to, $80 USD however is reasonable. Like @Brickweiser said, parts to price ratio isn't the end-all-be-all as it does not take into account part size, new molds, old parts in new colors, printing etc.on top of licensing fees. Moving on. Upon further examination of the First Order Star Destroyer, the interior doesn't look as bad as I initially thought, in fact it looks really solid when compared to previous Star Destroyer and other massive ship interiors LEGO has done over the years. There's a consistent color scheme, there's very little exposed structure(barring the handle) in the actual interior section, and a good amount of detail via stickers. It's just a shame that the undersides of the folded down top sections are such a mess.
  18. We have to face the reality that we are not getting any X-Men or F4 characters, it sucks but that's the truth. If I'm wrong, it'll be a pleasant surprise, if I'm not then tempering expectations will help avoid disappointment. While I don't see any reason to have more than one Howard the Duck, the Iron Duck looks neat and that Carnem is really cool, ntm it pretty much tells us what bigfig Venom will look like and he looks so much better than than in the first game. Plus, it's confirmed he can web swing, so bigfigs can do that now which is cool. We're supposed to be getting a new trailer and a whopping 10 character reveals on Saturday, fingers crossed one of them is Ghost Rider and hopefully half of them won't just be variants of characters we already know will be in the game.
  19. The price for Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter, or as it is evidently called "The Silencer" seems fairly reasonably priced to me compared to the Special Forces TIE form TFA and Krennic's Shuttle given its size and number of figs. That may be my only purchase from this wave as everything else is just too expensive and/or over priced. The Heavy Scout Walker is a possibility but only if it ends up being $30 USD, Anything more than that is absurd. I'm really loving the Silencer though, especially after seeing how it will actually look in the movie based on the Battlefront 2 model. Very, very cool. The LEGO version seems to be very accurate. I imagine after the debacle with the shuttle from TFA they realized it was a bad idea to change a vehicle design so heavily after providing references for merchandisers who in turn were likely not pleased as I'm sure it negatively impacted sales.
  20. They finally got the exclusive fig thing right I think. Just like Vixen, Deadpool Duck is just the perfect blend of fun and obscure while being non-essential to most collectors(unlike the Collector, ironically).
  21. Taking bets now, it's Ego. Or Spider-Man 2099. Or Spider-Gwen. I joke but then it could be the AoS version of Ghost Rider and then I'd be furious. Man, I thought they were done with this nonsense. Hopefully it's a non-essential comic variant. They played it safe with the Arrowverse version of Vixen for the DC figure, just the right balance of "oh, that's cool" and "meh, it's okay that I'll never get her."
  22. After the seeing the new DC sets, I absolutely love all of those new blast pieces. I imagine the IW sets will be using them extensively as well. The new blast/sword thing is a huge improvement as potential replacement for the blue cylinder pieces that are used on Iron Man's feet if they are used just like Firestorm's. The flaming fist piece and blast impact pieces are also full of so much potential and all 3 remind me so much of the kinds of things you get with action figures. The Black Order looks really cool and pretty comic-accurate which is a big plus. I don't like how Thanos looks without his helmet but hopefully he'll suit up in the movie because I want an armored Thanos, not bald Thanos in a shirt. I would love it if we got a new Iron Man faceplate mold for the movie helmet too considering his armor for the film is so heavily inspired by the one in the comics and it looks better than any armor I've seen for a long time now. I am just so sick of the same Iron Man over and over with minor variation in printing on the helmet, it just doesn't cut it anymore. Also, I wonder if we'll get a Cap with a beard in minifig form lol.
  23. Yeah hardly a "character" reveal when it's just a variant suit. The real reveal was Vulture quite frankly but I don't think there is a single person who didn't think he would be in the game. You can catch a brief glimpse of the mark 47 Iron Man armor in the trailer too, again not a big surprise. I was hoping to get a glimpse of the movie Vulture in action but not yet. I want to see how they handle the wings in the game given that in the movie they treat them more like a vehicle. Speaking of which it's nice to see some vehicles in Chronopolis, they've been hard at work bringing it to life including flying cars which I was definitely expecting for 2099. At least we will get a lot more(according to them) information at SDCC next Saturday along with a new trailer so there's something to look forward to, hopefully there will be more to see than E3 and D23 because both have been pretty disappointing in terms of lack of new information. I really, really want to see Ghost Rider in action as well as other characters who have appeared in recent sets like Scorpion, Kraven and Hobgoblin, there's no way they aren't in the game surely. I think it would be really cool if Ghost Rider(s) could, regardless of what vehicle he gets into, have the wheels catch fire to "possess" them like he does, that'd be a cool little thing just for him. The more I hear about the character creator the more awesome it sounds. It's now confirmed that you can choose 2 powers for a character and a weapon and if you give a character a beam ability you can choose if it comes from the hands or the mouth. You can also choose method of travel whether it be single jump, double jump, super jump, or flying. I am so glad they've left last gen behind, it sounds like they are really taking full advantage of the amount of stuff they can do now.
  24. First review of the Green Mech Dragon up on youtube! My opinion is unchanged, what a fantastic looking set, my only gripe is that the tail seems to be too floppy but it looks amazing overall, can't wait to pick one up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msJmh72u5jA
