I like what I see so far. The epic conflict with the Celestial is very impressive. I also love that Kang's ship, Damocles, is made to look like a giant brick-built version of a classic Castle theme minifig sword, or at least that's what it looks like to me. Also we get to see some cool stuff within the Milano, not to mention Kang himself! Man, I can't wait to see some character reveals!

Woops, I accidentally posted my response in the Marvel 2017 sets thread but yeah, this confirms it. The figure is still a huge let down compared to Iron Patriot and Silver Centurion. SC was a fantastic figure and IP had leg printing and included a little platform. This.... this is a very plain minifig with no additional build to make up for the lack of printing. I can't imagine what they were thinking but we better get Spider-Man 2099 in a set or people will riot. The classic Guardians pack is nice. I'm also pretty excited about the size and scope of Chronopolis(you can fly all the way up to Nowhere and even swim underwater to Lemuria) and how much they've improved the character creator. I can't wait for E3!

Like everyone else I'm pretty disappointed that Goliath is the preorder fig. They could've at least given him arm and leg printing and maybe even dual molding! They really spoiled us with Silver Centurion, hell the Iron Patriot was far better too plus he had that little assembly station while SC had extra parts with the armor pieces. This is just a super plain minifig with barely any printing and no additional gear whatsoever. Really!?! *sigh* classic Guardians pack sounds nice, and I'm really excited for Chronopolis since there's been a number of reveals for locations and size and scope. Being able to fly up to Nowhere and swim in the water down to Lemuria and the inclusion of Noir New York and how in-depth the new character customizer is. A lot of great stuff so far, I can't wait to see gameplay at E3! (fingers crossed Ghost Rider is revealed to put my mind at ease)

I'm a little late but I'm really happy we're getting a Boba Fett Buildable Figure! Hopefully it's much better than the Jango Fett one(still haven't gotten it but now I will have to for sure before it's gone).The Brickheadz I couldn't care less about.

That is true, Dimensions has the jukeboxes, I'd love to see those in other LEGO games. Haha, that song is hilarious! I could see them using Guardians of the Galaxy as a means to include a jukebox feature considering Starlord is confirmed to have the ability to pause the game and break out into song and dance moves using his walkman. I could see collecting mix tapes a la gold bricks and the like and each one unlocks a new song on the hub jukebox or something like that.

Yeah I've convinced myself they're decently sized too, especially since the people making the movie have set their interpretation of the wings are more of a vehicle than a jetpack setup to make it more unique and less like a Falcon rip-off. I love the use of the tessellated Nexo shields. While it may not be the most accurate thing, it looks superb and is an excellent source of unprinted Nexo shields for mocing. The helmet has grown on me too. It looks good and I do think it was a wise choice for LEGO to make a helmet mold as universal as that one, we just tend to expect more from movie based sets it seems. When you think about it, over-use of ultra-specific molds isn't very LEGO-like at all, we've just gotten used to it. I'm still disappointed by the complete lack of leg printing and claw feet on him though and the lack of a mask for Shocker is also very frustrating. It's still a very good set and I look forward to getting it tomorrow along with the Republic Fighter Tank.

Wow that's a pretty good line up of figs. If the Lobo set is half as good as the Ghost Rider Team-Up set, it's a fr sure thing for me as I like the character and his space bike. I imagine it'll be a $20 set like the Ghost Rider Team-Up too. Firestorm, Killer Frost, Reverse Flash, all good things! Firestorm would be great to have especially imo. Hopefully the Marvel wave for next year is just as good as the DC wave sounds.

Agreed, I hope so. I'm going to be anxious about the game until I get confirmation on Ghost Rider and see what the hub looks like. I'm hoping for a better soundtrack too, the one for the first game was decent but got repetitive fast. I'd love it if we could get a radio while running around the hub like in a GTA or Saints Row. Obviously it won't have many if any "actual" songs, but at least having options would be nice. On a different note, since Egypt will be featured in the game, I'm fully expecting Apocalypse and his Horsemen to feature at some point. I could also see the Phantom Rider feature in the Wild West part of the game. I thought the wild west setting was an odd choice, certainly not one I would choose if I had options, just not my thing but there are some decent possibilities. I look forward to several 2099 versions of characters too, there are so many great options there, like Ghost Rider 2099! I have a feeling the 2099 parts of the game will be my favorite as I love futuristic cities.

Very nice set! Better still, I hope this means someone has and will release more hd pictures of the other sets. I really want to get a better look at that Loyd's Dragon set. The minifig selection is very nice and the little gondola is a nice build. The Jellyfish flyer is a great build and I like the use of the sand blue with yellow highlights. It's odd to me that it uses flick-fire missiles as I was under the impression LEGO was trying to move away from those now that we have stud shooters and spring loaded shooters that work way better and don't look as bad. Ah well. -
Aw excellent! I think the Kraven fur piece is more accurate but at least one of them will work with the Zod helmet.

Speaking of which I still think that would be a nice replacement for Vultures printed helmet for those who want something with texture.

Sweet, the Star Destroyer opens up exactly the way I was hoping it would! I like the Resistance Bomber, though I don't see it as a bomber, more like a frigate or cruiser. It looks cool, certainly the most unique vehicle yet as everything else is just a modification of preexisting technology. I am concerned that the thing will want to fall over constantly given the shape of the thing. On an interesting note, they blurred ot the face of the hologram microfig Snoke is speaking to on the back of the box art, I'd assume it was representing Kylo but if that was the case they wouldn't have blocked it out. It's always nice to get those cool hologram pieces though.

Wow those sets look awesome... and expensive, wow. I do not like that Snoke at all. I assumed he would have black robes and white skin. I wasn't sure if they'd do a special mold for the head but the printing just doesn't seem to do an adequate job. Very disappointing but we'll jst have to wait and see how he is in the movie I guess. I love the gorilla walker and I can definitely see why people were calling it that. I can't wait to see how Kylo Ren's ship looks in set form. Aside from that and the Skimmer, I'm gonna guess the other 2 sets are the new A-Wing and some sort of training set on Ach-to with Rey and Luke.

Reyes' comic run actually failed pretty badly, it was canceled several months back but to be fair, it was awful, the AoS version was a proper Ghost Rider in every way and I applaud them for it. With both the MCU Reyes and the Blaze fig and bike we got in a set we might actually get 2 Ghost Riders to play as which would make me very happy. I still have no doubt the X-Men and FF will be in the game in a significant way. Marvel has eased up on its silent embargo on characters and they made no such restrictions for the first game. Plus, the guys at TT are big Marvel fans and I remember Arthur Parsons talking about how people in the office were clamming over who got to do the X-Men in particular. Just because one trailer and one picture of a handful of characters didn't show a single X-Man or member of the FF, it doesn't mean they aren't in the roster of several hundred characters or have their ow levels. Besides, the trailer and picture focused almost exclusively on new or new versions of characters. They know people loved the X-Men and FF stages and characters in the first game and there was a lot of uproar about them not being in the Avengers game(which made sense given it was an MCU game so I don't know what people expected). Have no fear, they'll be in the game.

That is really weird that they pulled the trailer. I saw it and it looked good. To anyone freaking out about X-men and FF, I would be surprised if they WEREN'T in the game given how prominent they were in the first one. They weren't in the Avengers game for obvious reasons but this isn't an MCU game it expands all of Marvel, relax they'll be in it, just give it time. Ghost Rider is my biggest concern though I'd also be surprised if he wasn't in the game given the awesome set he got not 2 years ago. The drip feeding of character reveals over the next few months will be agonizing. Hopefully we'll get some more reveals and some gameplay at E3 in a couple weeks.

I think the wings look pretty good and the tessellated grey nexo knights shields are a good look.. They look pretty accurate and given how big they are in the film, I think it's fine. They're going for the wings being more of a vehicle than a jet pack thing in the mcu anyway. My only major gripe with him are his legs, no talons and no leg printing is pretty sad. The helmet looks good but would be much better as a new mold of course. Shocker is the real disappointment here. No mask, no leg printing and the only thing that makes him look remotely Shocker-y are the arms. The fists don't look quite right but I'm not really sure how that could've been improved and they're better than nothing.

If only the fig had dual molded arms and legs, then it would be perfect. I hate that LEGO refuses to use dual molding in Star Wars sets when literally every other theme has used it. It's only a matter of time, right? Eventually they'll give in...

Given that the Thor sets are appearing in reviews from people who bought them in various countries that have released early I think it's safe to say they're coming out June first which is great, hopefully the USA will release them then too. It sucks if not but at least plenty of other great sets will be released then to tide us over.

In the press release, Kang the Conqueror was confirmed as the big bad for the game, hence the Chronopolis main hub and time travel elements. I'm sure Thanos will be playable if not a side villain. That would be pretty cool, though I think Ghost Rider, Quake, Yo-yo, AIDA, and Coulson(with his holo-shield please!) would be the only ones that would be interesting, game-play-wise. May would likely be another Black Widow reskin, which is fine too. On a side note, fingers crossed Ghost Rider(if he's in) is featured in one of the levels. While they certainly wouldn't do Mephisto's realm or anything, it would be really awesome to get a level with Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange and maybe Thor fighting more magical enemies in another dimension or mystical realm. It would make me super happy!

This is very exciting news and the playable characters shown so far are pretty great. Personally, I just really really hope Ghost Rider is back as playable along with his bike, especially now that he has his own set, I mean characters and vehicles that appear in sets are pretty much guaranteed, right? There might also be a chance we could get a second playable Ghost Rider based on Robbie Reyes from Agents of SHIELD with his car, that'd be pretty sweet too! I don't doubt that the FF and X-Men will be in this one too as they were super popular additions to the first game and that was during the time when Marvel was more blatant about shoving them to the side to hurt FOX, now they've let up on that to some degree and I doubt it'll have much of an impact on this game. Having Kang the Conqueror as the main villain is an excellent choice, one that I would like to see the movies adopt after Thanos has been dealt with. Goliath is likely the pre-order bonus given he was recently leaked with no set to correspond to, which would be disappointing compared to the Iron Patriot and Silver Centurion but a free exclusive figure is a free exclusive figure.

At least on Warlord Garmadon he has his specialized cape that overhangs in the front to help cover that up. I'm glad the better version is included in the Mech Dragon set as that is likely the only set I'll end up getting from the wave, my wallet will be hurting this year and the recently announced LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 doesn't help.It's unfortunate though that he doesn't seem to have that really cool new staff weapon in that set though. -
This is awesome news! My poor wallet this year though, so many great sets and games. 2099 Spidey is a great surprise and I do hope we get a minifig of him. I'm not going to give my hopes up on any other figure but Goliath as the included figure as we've seen nothing yet to suggest anything but him. I personally really hope Ghost Rider and his bike are playable again, especially now that he has his own set, plus the Agents of SHIELD version of Reyes is very popular and him and his car would be great inclusions as well. Plus, since they're both in the MCU now, it would make extra sense to include them! Anyway, so far it looks like there will be some great playable characters. Hopefully Baby Groot can transform like a bigfig into his adult form. That cowboy Cap is.... weird, I could see that being a preorder minifig but who would want that.
