  1. I've always liked Shadow Troopers/ black armored Stormtroopers so that's great news. I seem to be one of the few that really likes the new helmet mold despite its inability to turn.
  2. I'll settle for leg printing and a new mold/s for the armor and fishbowl.
  3. He really needs an armor piece like one of the tech-y ones from Ninjago or something like we've gotten from the futuristic/space cmf figures. I gotta say I love how Iron Man progressively becomes more sleak and smooth while War Machine becomes more chunky and geometric. I loved his IW armor(I'm still mad the figure pack never showed up in the US) and his new endgame armor looks even better.
  4. Not to mention it makes the most sense given they just remade the AT-AP and Droid Gunship, a new Kashyyk AT-RT would fit perfectly. The AT-RT is one of my favorite walkers so I'm super excited to get a new one, especially if it looks as good if not even better than the 501st one we got from the Umbaran Clone Wars set. My biggest issue with the 2 stand-alone AT-RT's we've gotten are they're too big. The one we got in the last Turbo Tank was the perfect size and looked spot on if you replace the feet with this piece https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=40393#T=C Given the price point though it's pretty much guaranteed it'll be as big as the the last 2 AT-RT sets.
  5. Wow, very happy with the new figs, especially Cap. We finally get his helmet after so many years! The Quantum realm suits have excellent printing and they even have leg printing, what a novel idea in the Superheroes theme! /s Unfortunately it looks like that will be the exact same torso and leg printing most of the characters will have but at least it's well detailed with lots of printing.
  6. Both the Droid Gunship and At-AP are improvements on their predecessors, especially the gunship. I've seen comparison videos and it's really no contest to say the new ones are the best. The previous gunships looked hideous imo but the new one has really caught my eye. The overall shaping and proportions are spot on to the "real" thing and I really like what they've done for the head to give it just the right angles and shaping. I will definitely be picking it up myself. The AT-AP is also definitely more accurate and seems to be more solidly built than the previous ones though if you own the last one there's not enough different about it to be worth buying again. I still don't have one so I might pick it up. Tbh, it's always been my least favorite walker design. The prices though, especially for the gunship are steep so I'd wait for a sale or use VIP points to drop the price down to at least $40. For the AT-AP while it has a decent ppp ratio, what you get for $60 doesn't seem like enough stuff to justify the price tag which is something that has bothered me with most LEGO Star Wars sets over the past several years. I'd wait and get it at $50 or lower if you can.
  7. Well the new Thanos figure is a big improvement over the last one but the mold just doesn't work for MCU Thanos. They really should have made a new one. The inclusion of arm printing and changing some colors and printing around really helped though. Hopefully he'll also come with an Infinity gauntlet, it makes sense and frankly I wasn't really interested in the Infinity War set that he and the gauntlet came in.
  8. I like Hulk's expression. I'm honestly not super bothered by the lack of toe print, if none of them had ever had it I don't think anyone would be complaining. This way it gives more of the illusion that he's an enlarged minifig. If he does have a shirt in the movie then that's something I'll be upset about but for all we know that never made it past the concept art. The description we have of the new Thanos bigfig is interesting. I'm not thrilled with another sleeveless Thanos but I'm glad he's at least getting a new helmet and armor design although it is unfortunate we don't get a helmetless Thanos. I don't like that he will still be smiling, I don't think it fits his character at all. From the sounds of it he'll basically be the same figure with some slight color variations and possibly a different armor/helmet mold.
  9. It's definitely a neat idea to throw in a bonus old school figure to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the theme. I'd honestly prefer to see them include a bonus figure that is fully decked out in duel-molding and fully printed to the maximum extent of what LEGO is currently capable of. Now those would be some highly desirable, extremely sought after figures. I'ts still nice to see LEGO doing something like this and I hope the figures they choose are ones that were really rare or ones that were really popular and of course represent each era of Star Wars. It's disappointing that they are relying so heavily on revamped sets from the past in several themes this year but there are definitely some sets from years ago that could really use a modern makeover.
  10. A new Hagrid's hut would be an absolute must-have for me, Hagrid was always my favorite character I'd love to get the new figure in a cheaper set. Especially if it came with a new Buckbeak and Fang!
  11. The quinjet is a decent build but the minifigs are really underwhelming as they severely lack detail. Fury didn't need leg printing but Captain Marvel desperately needs it or better yet dual molded legs. Talos really badly needs printing on the head piece and leg printing. It also really irks me that they included Goose instead of Chewie. Eh, not the best set they've put out for a Marvel movie but I still plan to get it.
  12. I saw it and immediately wanted it for that exact purpose. I would love to have an offical set with the anad Ghost Rider, Robbie barely has any merchandise as it is despite his popularity and comic coverage. I'm still waiting for the AoS version to appear in any of the mobile games and who knows how long it'll take before Marvel Legends bothers to give him an action figure, MCU version or otherwise. *sigh*
  13. So far this wave is overall "meh" for me. The Droid Gunship is the best version yet and I don't own either of the previous ones so I'll be getting this one. Same with the AT-DP but it really doesn't look much different from the previous version. I still don't have one so I might pick t up it's just not a huge priority. The Praetorian battle pack is the real winner of this wave, They did a fantastic job on it. I really like that the side build is unique and can be combined with Snoke's throne room. Muck better than them trying to throw together a half-baked little ship. Inferno Squad looks decent, I still have a bad taste in my mouth about Battlefront II so that really kills much of my interest in this set. The Deathstar escape set is interesting but really doesn't do anything for me. There really isn't anything new or exciting about it for me to have any interest. As far as MFs go, I'm very glad we're getting a super cheap Darth Maul. I don't own an updated one as the Duel on Naboo set was really disappointing imo so I'll be picking this up just for the minifig. Darth Vader's castle is a nice set though I'm a little disappointed it doesn't have Momin's mask. Overall though nothing in this wave is really wowing me or surprising me other than the Praetorian bp. Hopefully the next wave will be better, especially with the Clone Wars era sets. I don't want a bunch of rehashes(unless it's something we haven't seen in a very long time and is in desperate need of an update) let alone the EXACT same set with some minor tweaks.
  14. I think it looks fine, frankly about what I expected, not really sure what people expected unless others wanted more molded detail. It's suitably generic and so can be used in a variety of themes. It is in desperate need of some printing though as it clashes horribly with the detailed printing on the head.
  15. That's about how I expected it to look. overall it looks really good and they packed a lot of rooms into such a small space. However many of the interior space just doesn't look like what I expect from modern LEGO sets many of the rooms look like something designed from a decade ago. Definitely not as much detail as I would expect nor is there enough smooth, curved areas for such an iconic sleek location. The minifig selection is great although I am disappointed Lobot didn't get a new mold for his head and that they didn't remold Han frozen in Carbonite, but I absolutely love that midi-scale Slave 1. I like the new branding as this isn't truly a UCS in the same way that the Death Star and Hoth sets weren't UCS. Overall it could've been much better but it's nowhere near Hoth levels of disappointment. I'll be skipping it in favor of finally getting the UCS Slave 1 before it's gone.
  16. I'm still not thrilled by the prospect of a 3rd repeat of the AT-AP and Droid Gunship but I never got the previous ones. If these turn out really well I might have to pick up the AT-AP at least, especially if the minifig list is to be believed. I really hope we get a new Plo Koon head mold as the old one never quite looked right to me. I would still vastly prefer different Clone Wars vehicles though.
  17. Not super thrilled about getting yet another Droid Gunship and AT-AP when we've had those remade already and to a satisfying degree when there are so many other Clone Wars era vehicles that could be made for the first time or are in far greater demand/need for updating. I really hope those are wrong or mistranslated. The 2 battlepacks sound awesome though! Other than that it's a giant "meh" so far for me.
  18. It's not technically a UCS in the same way that the BB-8 isn't UCS but it is designed to be a UCS what with the high level of detail and the UCS plagues and accompanying minifig. They are for all intents and purposes UCS.
  19. I agree on both of those points though that battlepack sounded too good to be true, I am reminded of the Bounty Hunter pack courtesy of the Freemaker Adventures. Man the announcement really hit me in the feels, best news I've heard in a long time. I am really looking forward to seeing more sets based on the show and I suspect they'll continue making some based on past episodes in addition to the new ones.
  20. Thanks for the link. Brick Ministry did a speed build of the set but he didn't put the wings on all the way. Honestly this is my most anticipated of the new sets. I absolutely loves the Clone Wars era and I missed out on the first one and the new one is so much better. It's a great value too and I'm curious to see how it compares to the Blue Angel which was twice the price. I would've loved to see one more minifig but that's just me wanting more.
  21. Wow I love this set! Two awesome looking mechs(though Venom's is really just a large mass of symbiote) and all of the new web blast pieces are awesome. I think this was a missed opportunity to give us a proper bigfig Venom but I guess they kinda did in a way. It's great to get Spider-Gwen but she could've used more printing. It's cool to get her but I would've been super excited for a Spider-Man 2099, maybe in a future(heh) set. $50 seems very generous indeed, a great value. I'm very happy they managed to squeeze in at least one comic-based set in between all the movie stuff. I'm now more hopeful that we might get that Daredevil minifig that was teased in the Sanctum set.
  22. I like the exclusive Ant-Man set, the bust looks really cool. I don't really see any of these exclusive sets selling well tbh. There's nothing in them that a person couldn't just bricklink for a fraction of the price. I'm all for no exclusive figures but no exclusive printed pieces makes it pretty hard to justify spending so much on a fancy box.
  23. Yeah I love the movie sets but it's frustrating to see DC get all of these comic-based sets that allow for more flexibility with characters. I'm dying for Daredevil and Moon Knight figures! We have all the right pieces for them too with the Black Panther ears flipped around for horns, 3L bars for batons and those new crescent blade pieces from Ninjago for Moon Knight. Such potential...
  24. I'm really digging this set! I fully expect Firefly's helmet to be reused with Wasp for the Avengers 4 sets.
  25. This might have been discussed awhile back but I can't seem to find anything. I've been comparing pictures of the AT Hauler to pictures of the AT-ST from the RO wave(I'm a hundred miles from home for a few days right now otherwise I'd be able to look over my copy of the set) but does it look to anyone like the Hauler might be able to carry the AT-ST? If not, it could probably be easily modded but it would be far better if it could do that right out of the box. It'd be rather unfortunate if it can't be used for its original intent but it wouldn't surprise me if it can't. It would certainly make the set more enticing to me than it already is, I already like it but I'm on the fence about whether or not to get it.
