  1. That's it? That's all they're going to show? Utterly disappointing. Well, D-0 looks ok but the proportions are way off as his wheel is way too small but it looks okay design-wise. It's overpriced but that's just how LEGO Star Wars is now sadly. The Razor Crest still looks excellent but while I appreciate having lots of interior space for figs and cargo, it feels too hollow and empty. I expected a little more for the price frankly. It's still a must-buy though. So disappointing they won't even bother to show us the rest of the spring wave that comes out in 2 months. Ah well, it's not much and is mostly meh anyway. The good stuff isn't coming until the summer and it'll be awhile before we see it sadly.
  2. It really sucks the Mando isn't in full Beskar with a jetpack and for the price this set should come with more figures like Kuil. That said the Razor Crest itself looks excellent and they did a pretty good job with the child. The price is a little ridiculous though I'd like to see the interior. Maybe it will seem more worth it if it has a sizable detailed interior.
  3. Eta-2's are my all-time favorite starfighters so I'm always happy for more. However they really, really need to retire the cockpoit dome for something new as every single one of them looks the same in the center and it has always caused the front of the cockpit to be incredibly inaccurate. The last ETA-2 of Anakin's we got looked great and matches the most recent update with Obi-Wan's so I'm curious hope they're going to improve it further as the wing design is pretty much perfect at this point. I honestly would've preferred we got another Jedi's ETA-2 or an updated version of Plo Koon's Delta-7B.
  4. Might be the 2nd brickheadz I have to get, the first was Boba Fett. The child and Mando look really good! Now give us a Baby Groot-esque minifig scale baby Yoda and a full Beskar Mando with a jetpack!
  5. I think it's hilarious that people are complaining that the Night Buzzard is "too obscure" when it got way more screen time then Slave I did in ESB yet that ship was pretty memorable for people. This is coming from a Boba Fett superfan by the way. The Night Buzzard had a lot of screen presence to me due to the big red engines and smokey trails it exuded when flying through space. It immediately stuck out to me in an interesting way and I was very hopeful it would eventually be made into a set. You had to be really unobservant to not notice that in the film though.
  6. I'm VERY happy about the Night Buzzard and a CW AAT is a pleasant surprise(watch it doesn't come with the AAT Driver droids we got last year with the Droid Gunship and AT-AP). I am a little concerned that it seems the Night Buzzard will be cheaper than the Soulless One as I would certainly expect the Night Buzzard to be a much larger ship. If it is cheaper, my wallet certainly won't complain. I too hope that Albrekh is in the set along with Cardo and Kuruk. Man, this is already shaping up to be an expensive year for me but I'm happy there'll be quite a few good sets.
  7. The Avengers sets are sounding pretty good, I'm pleasantly surprised. Especially if they're tied into the game. Brick built MODOK definitely makes me think that they are, at least the Avengers tower and Helicarrier(which both sound awesome and are making my wallet cry already) I'm definitely intrigued by the 2 unidentified figures from the tower. Of the characters we know are in the game so far and assuming it ties into the game they could potentially be Hank Pym/Ant-man, Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, Loki, Bruce Banner, or Taskmaster. Personally though I hope they're characters that haven't been revealed yet.
  8. That set is pathetic. One new figure and nearly an identical build to one 6 months ago. The only halfway interesting thing is the Venomized Iron Man and the Spiderbuggy which is finally a Spider-man vehicle that fits since it was in the comics and it looks okay for what it is.
  9. An odd choice for sure. I was very much hoping for new Clone Wars sets but I wasn't expecting a remake of an old set. I almost went back and got the old one off Bricklink recently but changed my mind. Now I'm glad I waited as I'm sure the new one will look much better once we see hd pics. Grievous is obvious but can anyone tell what the other 2 figures are?
  10. I seriously doubt that. SW has always been one of LEGO's biggest themes and I don't see that changing. We're getting smaller waves this year because there isn't a movie to push products for, plus they're trying something new with the helmets/busts. I wouldn't worry as nearly every time a big theme gets a smaller wave in an off year, the forums are inundated with "the sky is falling" type posts which are usually unfounded.
  11. Either a comic book version or one based on the upcoming game (assuming we're getting more sets based on it and the Hulkbuster is featured).
  12. Ooh I like your thinking. I'd definitely be interested in an Iron Monger set but if that were the case, it likely would've said so, sadly.
  13. I too missed out on the tower so this one will hopefully be good enough to pick up. I love the Hulkbuster sets we've gotten so far, the IW one is by far the best, but I'm probably at my limit unless they do something amazing with it.
  14. Well these sound incredibly disappointing so they're probably real. Aside from the bust(which I don't care about at all) these are not new ideas they've been done before. Sure the tower will likely be bigger than what we got previously but I can't help but feel LEGO is failing this brand. It could be that they're based on the video game designs, if that's the case it increases the appeal to me, especially if the figures look good and are varied but I don't have great hopes there.
  15. I appreciate that they are giving us a choice. It was a really hard call but I voted for the LAAT and I'm totally biased on that. I really want more prequel era sets, especially anything from the Clone Wars era. Having had more time to think about it though, I should have gone with the Nebulon as it is perfect for UCS. I'd honestly rather get the LAAT and the TIE Bomber as new System-scale sets. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I've been slowly going back and getting old Clone Wars sets I missed growing up and I'd hate to finally get to the LAAT and then LEGO immediately makes a new one. I am really hopeful for more Clone Wars sets this year given the release of the final season next month.
  16. That's highly possible. Honestly, while Star Wars sets are ridiculously overpriced, I'd rather they deliver quality Marvel sets at a premium than have cheaper sets that are constantly disappointing.
  17. The set overall looks great! The tiny atv is garbage but adds play value and I assume they just had a little parts budget leftover... which they shouldn't have had if they had given Taskmaster proper weapons! Seriously, that actually makes me legitimately mad. They couldn't be bothered to reprint the cap shield with his logo? Nope, basic disk piece slapped on a gauntlet. How about a simple sword? Surely there's no way they could mess that up. Nope, he gets basic spike piece. He's going up against 2 Widows with a paper plate taped to his wrist and a shiv for crying out loud, what were they thinking?!? *sigh*
  18. Ah, so it is. I've only seen the trailers once each and his hood was down for most of the brief moments he's shown in the first. It's definitely still the wrong color and it of course would've been great if they had printed the edge of the hood to get more colors in there. I'm also kinda surprised they didn't choose to use the new hood piece over the old. Hopefully his shield and weapons look good.
  19. Disappointed but not surprised by the lack of leg printing on Taskmaster and the hood should be white but he looks great aside from that. Black Widow also looks really good although that hair and face really doesn't work for her, especially the way it looks in the film. Hopefully we'll get Red Guardian and the white Widow suite in another set, assuming we will be getting 2 for the movie.
  20. Just got the Mandolorian bp and Sith Trooper bp a couple days ago from my local walmart. Both are great. I also noticed the 2x vip points on the TIE Dagger and decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on it despite the high price. I really love the look of the set and the in-universe design. Plus it also allowed me to nab the old Ben polybag. Sadly it's backordered so it won't ship out until the 19th. At least that isn't too long of a wait.
  21. Idk, I feel like there are still a LOT of potential sets based on the movie. I was thinking of all kinds of new ones during the film, for example:
  22. Thanks! Ya, I have Venom from a previous set as well as Aunt May from the bridge battle set and multiple versions of past Spider-men so really the only figure that would be nice to get is Spider-Gwen. The other major reason I haven't gotten the previous Venom mech set is that so much of my LEGO budget gets swallowed up by Star Wars and those sets keep getting more expensive each year. I do have a few of the Nexo Knights mechs, I thought they were brilliant little sets when they came out. I think it was just initially off-putting to see a similar concept be used for the Marvel line but again, looking at it as a replacement for mighty micros, I think makes it easier to appreciate these things for what they are. Not to mention the degree of poseabillity they have makes it feel like LEGO is trying to give use Marvel action figures without violating Hasbro's exclusivity on Marvel action figures(I really hope that goes away someday so we could actually get Marvel collectible minifigs) or returning to ccbs which sadly wasn't as successful as I would have liked.
  23. Ya I'm definitely NOT picking up the Venom one, that whole set is garbage. I'd rather pick up the previous set as that Venom mech is actually pretty cool and well designed. The main reason I haven't yet is that none of the figures excite me much.
  24. Having watched reviews, I think I'm completely won over on the mech sets. Looking at them as a replacement for mighty micros and seeing how incredibly articulated and well-designed they really are for being as cheap as they are, I could totally see myself collecting these if this becomes a new thing. Plus I really miss constraction themes and this gives me some constraction vibes. Plus the Iron Man and Thanos minifigs are quite nice. The Spidey fig isn't anything special though. I think the Spidermech would've been far better if it had a red and gold color scheme to feel more like the Iron Spider, especially given the spider legs it has on its back. I look forward to seeing where they go with this idea, hopefully it provides us with a cheap way to get a bunch of great new figures from across the Marvel universe. I'm already envisioning what mech sets could look like for all kinds of heroes and villains regardless of whether or not it made sense. I might even have to make a custom Ghost Rider mech...
  25. Now if only they would fix their mistake with the FO AT-ST... fingers crossed it makes an appearance in ep9 to justify LEGO giving us a proper set of one. It'd be a huge shame if they don't eventually as I absolutely love its design.
