Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Toa Palpo replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Overall it's a cool set with good figs but Taskmaster without a hood looks awful and what is with those awful shields!? Why couldn't they have printed silver Cap shields, seriously. At least more people will have a chance to get it than they would have but this is going to sell out faster than the Bespin duel set. -

I 100% agree. I'm so sick Ironman at this point. A couple unique suites would be fine but most of the figures should be characters we've never gotten minifigs of. I for one would love a Cosmic Ghost Rider with a baby Thanos. -

You might as well mark off Super Mario too since the blind bags are functionally similar to a cmf and occupy the same price point. Marvel is definitely the most likely so get ready for 5 Iron Mans, 3 Captain Americas, a Black Widow and maybe 2 completely new characters... Even if it is a Marvel cmf I'm keeping my expectations low given how woefully inadequate this theme tends to be. -

I love the scaled down TIE, it looks really nice and the cockpit looks more round than the Solo one. It makes me want to get the Rebels TIE Advanced vs A-Wing even more now. -

None that specifically related to the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider but in terms of the Ghost Rider part of the Marvel universe, Morbius was a member of the Midnight Sons with Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch and Demogoblin was featured in a team-up between Spider-man and the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider which seemed to be the inspiration for the previous Ghost Rider LEGO set. As far as Robbie's rogues gallery is concerned, it's pretty sparse. The most notable villain was Mr. Hyde which would be interesting especially if they decided to include Quake. They could kill 2 birds with 1 stone by pleasing fans of the comics and AoS fans. However, having a $20 Ghost Rider set with the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider, Quake and Mr. Hyde sounds too good to be true so there's no way that's what we're getting, especially with this theme's track record. -

Well you better pick up the phone because I freakin' called it lol. I'm really happy with how the Ghost Rider set turned out. It's basically the Speed Champions SRT Demon with 3 stud shooters for the blower and I don't actually mind. It looks great and zooming in on the picture it definitely looks like a silver head on fire so it's definitely a proper Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider! Also, is that a new flame piece on the side of the Hell Charger? -

Nice to get a bit more info, I had hoped for more about the Ghost Rider Car set but it's nice to get confirmation it will indeed be Robbie Reyes with the Dodge Charger. I can't wait to get more details on how the build looks and how the figure looks. It doesn't sound like there will be any other figures with it but maybe they just don't know. -

I've been back and forth on bricklinking the TIE Advanced vs A-Wing set for the past couple weaks and the "rumor" that we might get a new TIE Advanced has made me even more conflicted even if the rumor is bs. I really like the last one but but we're overdue for a new one. Plus it would be perfect to tie-in(pun intended) to the Skywalker Saga game. Decisions... -

I was thinking it could be another video game version of Thor but with the Starktech armor. -

Thor and Cap mechs sound silly but they might turn out alright. I did have a cool thought though. What if the Thor mech is the Destroyer armor? That'd be really cool! More than likely t's just a mech that looks like Thor with a brick-built hammer but man wouldn't it be cool to basically get 2 characters in one like that! The Cap mech could be pretty cool if it was maybe green and looked like it was made of tank parts but that's pretty unlikely. Again, it'll probably look like Cap. At the very least we might get a larger version of Cap's shield printed on a larger disk piece, that would certainly be useful. -

GHOST RIDER CAR!?!? I cannot express how excited that makes me! The first Ghost Rider set was a dream come true for me and this was the next set I wanted most. $20 for the Hellcharger and Robbie Reyes is perfect, I don't need another figure but another would be awesome. Quake would be really cool or maybe even Blade. There could also easily be a reused Avenger like Cap though since Robbie is an Avenger. I don't care if the rest of the wave is bad (it doesn't sound too bad to me) this makes it all worth it for me! It sounds like we're getting more $10 mechs and I'm all for it. They're silly sure but they're great little sets, super poseable and is a super cheap way to get figs. -

Considering the development time for sets it's incredibly unreasonable to expect they would've had the time to adjust a lineup based on the reaction to the Clone Wars sets that came out a month ago. It would be AT LEAST next fall before we would see any kind of response to that, if any. I too want more Clone Wars and prequel sets but it's not terribly surprising that there aren't any this wave. -

I'm most intrigued by the $30 Mandolorian set(he better have the Beskar armor!) and I'm so, so happy to see that they're going to start making cheaper, smaller TIEs and X-Wings. They've been going way, way too far with those for a long time now. If they look good I'll be picking them up. I've refused to buy TIEs and X-Wings for awhile with the exception of the FO Special ForcesTIE, the TIE Dagger and Major Vonreg's TIE Interceptor(which I got off bricklink for almost half price). The wave on the whole isn't very exciting but personally I'm glad. It gives me some breathing room to focus on picking up old sets I missed out on from years past. Btw, what are the chances the TIE fighter comes with Moff Gideon and the Darksaber? That would definitely be worth it! -

The lightsaber gwp is cool but I would have much rather had a microscale Tatooine scene so that we could have the full OT represented. If they're never going to give us one for ANH I find it incredibly frustrating and annoying. Some people complained but I love the little dioramas and would have liked to have seen one for each film. -

You act like that's stopped LEGO before lol. How many times have they reused a mold that's inaccurate just to save money or let alone entire figures? -

I'm so happy Momaw Nadon has leg printing! The Imperial Spy looks incredible and I love the Devaronian head, hopefully that becomes available in cheaper sets because I'd love to get a bunch of those, Ghost Rider needs some demons to fight! -

The interior looks great though it has less detail than I had hoped. I am glad it's nice and spacious with room for plenty of minifigs. I'm worried about the price though. The rumored $350 makes my eyes water but is probably true. Ideally it's $250-$300 but I know that's probably unrealistic. -

Wow, just absolutely incredible and we haven't even seen the interior yet! The figure selection is perfect imo. I'm blown away. Man, now I'm hoping the spring wave of sets suck so I can save up for this... -

Momaw Nadon!!! The leaked image looks pretty good. I don't know if I'll be able to afford it any time soon but if nothing else, I'll absolutely bricklink Momaw Nadon! I look forward to seeing the rest of the set, I like what I can see so far. It's cool to get that other landspeeder design, we've never gotten that in lego before. Kabe is a really nice inclusion too, definitely gives me high hopes for the rest of the figures. -

It's weird to me that people are suddenly changing their minds on the Razor Crest when we've had pictures of it from every angle, inside and out and have had video of it for a long time. The reviews show nothing new. Are people actually complaining that a transport ship actually has space to transport stuff?? Overall I think it's remarkably accurate to the show especially for a LEGO set since LEGO so often focuses on the exterior of a ship and neglects the interior. I mean what more would you really want in there? It has a fairly accurate cockpit for the scale, a sleeping compartment, a weapon bay and a carbonite freezing area. There really wasn't much else in the ship to begin with aside from a refresher and I'd rather they didn't waste parts on that. The only complaint I can understand is the reused Mando but I'm hopeful we'll soon get one in full Beskar. -

The Child turned out much better than I expected much like Yoda, I'm sure it will look even better in person. Either way, my wife really wants it. She's collected every one of these UCS-style buildable characters. -

I was able to find the whole wave at my local Target and nabbed the 501st Legion, AAT and Night Buzzard. I love all 3! The Clone Troopers look amazing, the AT-RT and Barc speeder are nice updates, the AAT is super sold and looks good despite its flaws and I love the Night Buzzard despite its hollowness. I'm honestly really happy with these sets. -
That's a really unique design. With so many ships in the final battle, I honestly didn't recognize it but comparing it to the source material you did a great job of recreating it.

That looks incredible! I love the Force Unleashed and I love the Rogue Shadow. I still remain hopeful that it and Starkiller might some day be recanonized. The official set has it's flaws but it remains one of my favorite Star Wars sets in my collection. You did an incredible job giving it the UCS treatment!
