I wonder... is the Tinker Bell minifigure sized? I'm hoping to get more varieties of the fairy wing part. The cloth skirt that came with the S8 Fairy would suit her too.

Nice comparison pictures! I like the new Toy Story Alien and the new Ariel hair way better than the first versions. I also like the new Buzz better, as well. That old head, while true to its source material, just looks poorly made, and it doesn't feel like LEGO to me... I can see now why Buzz and the TSA were reused in this series, and I'm thankful for these remakes since I was never around to get the old Toy Story sets. That said, I really hope we get a Woody minifigure in the future to accompany Buzz, but he'd need a new mold for his hat/hair as he'll also use a regular head... not sure if he'll use the long legs, but I hope he has better printing...

Excited for these. I watch AT on occasion and love the characters. I like the way the majority of them look, and they don't have to worry about making new parts. I hope they keep all the characters in the submission. I like these Minifigures a lot, but I doubt these would see the light of day considering all the new parts.... This reasoning baffles me, to be honest. I mean, you can still make those kinds of creations with non-flesh colors... Take a picture in grayscale, and BAM - who would know what color you used? Hopefully this isn't something LEGO is doing, because I feel it goes against everything LEGO values in regards to creativity, even if it is pornographic content. People should be allowed to make whatever they want with the bricks available, but that doesn't mean it isn't inappropriate. We still have to follow forum rules on what content is posted, which is also why I feel that reasoning is arbitrary. Even if there are sexually explicit MOCs, I doubt Eurobricks would ever allow such MOCs to be posted. A bit of a tangent, but I just wanted to share my opinion on it...

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion

That question makes me wonder... Will Lego ever increase the number of females in a regular-numbered series to six? I mean, the five this time around are the Ice Queen, Babysitter, Cyborg, Wildlife Photographer, and Kickboxer Girl. But from the rest of the list, I don't think there would be another female... I know the Disney ones aren't out yet, but now I'm getting excited for these! Especially the ones we haven't seen yet. However, I don't expect pictures until a few more months... -
Interesting series for the parts, but as they are, it's not my cup of tea. Looks to me like the majority of figures share hairpieces (with one hairpiece being used on FIVE different figures), which is likely the sole identifier for many of them while feeling. All I can say is - good luck to those who are collecting them by feeling the packets...

I don't mind the gold knives at all, much to my own surprise. I feel like they fit Peter's whimsical nature, and I certainly don't mind getting more gold weapons to outfit my Flying Warriors... If you think about it from a production standpoint, there's already a plethora of pearl gold accessories in this series. Maybe it was a matter of using up the pearl gold color? It's unfortunate that the Peter Pan in the review has some printing issues. Considering the figures came from Billund, I wonder if they were from the first batch of figures made for this series...- 4,155 replies

Maybe Ursula's torso would look too skimpy if it were lavender with black printing? The situation reminds me of the S15 Ballerina. Mind you the yellow on her torso isn't exact, but it's better than white printed on yellow. Same principle applied to Ursula, same result - though it seems dependent on what colors are used that make the mismatch noticeable.- 4,155 replies

Wait a minute... the oversaturated images had a blind bag picture with Donald on it. This new slew of images has Captain Hook on the bag instead. Which one is the correct design??- 4,155 replies

Glad to see they went all out with the printing.. 11/18 with back prints, and those without it look just fine! My favorites now are Stitch, Chesire Cat, Alice, Maleficent, Peter Pan, Buzz, Aladdin, and Ariel! EDIT: This series has TWENTY new parts! Mickey head, Donald head and hat, hair bow, duck tail, plastic skirt, Mr. Incredible hair, Syndrome hair, Alice hair, Chesire Cat head, Stitch head, Maleficent headgear and collar, Aladdin hair, Genie forhead/ears, Peter Pan hat/hair, Capt. Hook hat/hair, Ariel hair, and Ursula hair and octopus legs.- 4,155 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
telaruhn replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Interesting knockoff figures. I especially like the chef, the cupid, and the tiki man/witch doctor (?) in the second photo. Would be great to see more photos of these, especially ones of the physical figure, as I can't seem to find them anywhere. The boxes are also interesting - it does seem like you get all 8 in 1 box, which would be great for collectors but not so much for army builders -

Uhh... I think I just saw Patty's head being used in a MOC. Granted it was the back of it, as it was being used as a plant, but it's a use that I would have never thought of. In relation to this series, I'm sure someone will come up with a way to use these new heads in interesting ways, even if it only is for custom figures. You're still reusing the parts. Love the idea to give Donald's tail to the Chicken Suit Guy!- 4,155 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
telaruhn replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Possibly. The black horns on his cap make me think there's black in other parts of his outfit too. However, I don't know if adding black would make him any more or less of a devil, because regardless of that he still has his basket to drive home that he's a costume. I wonder if the Imp will come with a tail? Seems highly unlikely considering what can be seen on the blind bag, but it feels like LEGO is exploring the use of molded hip accessories (such as animal tails) more often than before, and a devil's tail would be a cool addition; I'm not sure they'd ever get an opportunity to make one again. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
telaruhn replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'd personally prefer that the Imp have plain red short legs. Overall, it feels costume torsos and legs tend to not be very decorated, so I think his torso will be plain red, as well. Speaking of short legs, the Penguin Suit's legs are plain black, which is diappointing. I was hoping for some yellow feet to match his beak... The technology for that is there, at least for the normal, dual-color minifigure legs (see Captain Hook from the Disney Series). For the short legs, we've seen the dual-color molding as well as shoe printing, but not both together. I feel it's possible both could be used on the same part to make a different shoe color, but they'd have to make an entirely new mold if they want the feet to be a different color of actual plastic. -

The packaging looks great! And looking at the newest pictures, I also really like Peter Pan and Buzz now. Hoping to get a review soon too, to see how many full sets we get per box... I have a feeling Mickey will be one of the most common ones.- 4,155 replies

Woody appearing in a future series feels inevitable to me, too. But the real question is - will he use the long legs like in his precious appearances? And if so, will they try to use the technology to make other characters with a similar silhouette (Jack Skellington)? Emperor Zurg would be a welcome addition. I could see it happen: new head mold, cloth cape and collar, and probably a robe/dress slope, to make him a bit taller and imposing...

I think Genie looks great. It looks as if the red stripe goes around the entire tail piece, which I think is an awesome touch! His headpiece is also pretty great since you can use it with other heads... but I can't quite tell if he's the same color as the S6 Genie... And the feather for his little ponytail is a clever reuse.- 4,155 replies

Though I can't see the photo, I know Cheshire Cat is seen on both two and four legs in his appearances. The minifigure just limits him to being bipedal only, which is a disappointment to those who would want one that walks on all fours.- 4,155 replies

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
telaruhn replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
The same reason Cheshire Cat is bipedal - because of the limitations of the minifigure silhouette. No exaggerated chins and noses on the normal "human" heads, while bodies are manipulated and morphed to fit the confines of figure torsos and legs. Since the Mr. Incredible figure lacks his mighty mandible and robust chest, he may look more like Dash... But if he were more like his movie representation, then I feel like you wouldn't have a minifigure anymore... TBH, none of these minifigures are 100% like the character, and that's something to be expected if you want them to appear as a minifigure...- 4,155 replies

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

I'll admit, I was scared for these figures when I first heard about them, and at that time I wasn't into Disney. However, after living with someone who is a Disney fan for the past several months, I grew to love the characters, especially after playing through Kingdom Hearts. I want to make a keyblade for the Mickey and a Mage's Staff for the Donald that I plan to get once this series comes out... Along with accessorizing the rest of the figures that need it... I feel the lack of accessories is probably due to the licensing fees. Something has to give to keep the price $3.99, and I'm honestly indifferent about it. Won't change the fact I'll be getting a full set at minimum...- 4,155 replies

These pictures make them look SO much better. Glad to see Donald and Daisy getting tail elements and Alice getting a plastic skirt and Eat Me cookie. Still disappointed to see Ursula's legs containing her belly, even if it is more accurate to her character and the sculpturing looks well-done. The boobs/belly limits its use considerably... I am also concerned at the general lack of accessories, but the characters are still effective without them. Interestingly enough, they have new print techniques going on here - look at Aladdin's and Captain Hook's feet - the foot is printed on with the white being underneath. Lots of great prints in general, especially with Buzz, Cheshire Cat, and Syndrome. EDIT: The Pizza Planet Alien's feet - I wonder if its print or part of the molding?? Maybe we can now have barefoot short legs??- 4,155 replies

[MOC] Wiggler from Nintendo's Mario games
telaruhn replied to Swan Dutchman's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Very cute! Wiggler is one of my favorite Mario characters next to Boo! I like the way you made the face with the little smile, and the way you made the feet to hide the ball joints. I'd love to see an angry red version too!
