LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
telaruhn replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It's still new in black if it comes with the Spooky Boy... Just always interesting to see the same hairpiece used on two figures in the same series. Though it is better than being them being the same color... If anything, I guess this showcases the versatility of the hairpiece, which is something I did not expect. I never thought the barista hair could be so unisex. -

The Cyborg already has the barista hair in that blue color (Medium Azure?). I hope they give the Spooky Boy a hairpiece that is either 1) brand new or 2) existing, but new in black, since I am assuming he will be styled like the Spooky Girl. Excited to see how he turns out regardless! -

By TLG's definition, it seems that pictures of leaked individual parts from previous/upcoming series should be considered confidential as well, since those pictures were not released by TLG. Especially for new molds that aren't fully decorated... But I do feel like they aren't taken down since it can't be assumed they're legitimate LEGO parts and/or that they're intended for a particular character or theme, essentially bypassing the basis for removing the image. This is in contrast to images of the packaging, which showcases the figures and theme in their entirety... -

I like the idea, but the only thing holding me back from that is how half of her face looks robotic. Her naming doesn't designate a gender in a similar fashion to the S13 Samurai, and we've already gotten a cyborg (though he was called a Space Villain). None of this is to say that she doesn't fit in with Ultra Agents, because she certainly does. Like others have mentioned, I hope the Spy is a more traditional, James Bond-styled character. But he could also be an Ultra Agents reject depending on the creative direction. EDIT: On a semi-related note, this is the first series to have three females on the blind bag packaging! -

Hey, it's that director again! He's a pretty great figure, albeit plain, so he'd probably have a bit more printing were he to see the light of day as a CMF. Regardless of that possibility, I do hope that megaphone mold shows up eventually in physical form... I can't wait to see the terrier coming with the Dog Show Judge, as it sounds like a great addition. As for reusing the Friends penguin for the Wildlife Photographer - there are many different kinds of penguins out there and I do hope that LEGO uses this opportunity to provide that kind of variety. That being said, the fact it's being included in the same series as the Penguin Suit Guy is pretty darn cute! -

I count eight. That includes the baby and the Ice Queen crown, though I'm still not sure of the latter. No figure on the Series 16 bag looks to have more than one new part. The strap across the pirate's chest looks like print to me. And forget about what I was thinking with the Rogue, the hood is all one piece. It's known that the Wildlife Photographer and the Dog Show Judge will likely each come with a new animal, so that's 10 new pieces already. Hard to tell what the other figures could bring in terms of new parts. The Spooky Boy and Arabian Knight could give us new hair/headgear. The Kickboxer Girl, Spy and Hiker seem like they could be made with existing parts... -

To be honest, that bandana does look like the one on the Rogue... Even with the blurriness you can see how the light reflects off of it, and it appears to reflect in the same way as the bandana badbob001 is describing. So maybe the hood is separate...? -

Wow! What an eclectic group. Scallawag Pirate: A nice figure. Looks like he comes with dual-color legs, but I can't tell what the arms look like. Hopefully he comes with a cool sword. Babysitter: This is great, she definitely looks like a teenager. I really like the new color of pigtails, but it looks as if the hair ties aren't colored like they are on the Zombie Cheerleader. Cyborg: She looks awesome. Nice recolors of the Larry the Barista hair and the Galaxy Trooper armor. The armor looks printed, too! Can't really tell what weapon she's holding, though I hope she has a robot arm and/or leg... Devil Costume: Cute, even though I am disappointed it's a costume. A bunch of great parts! He'll likely have short legs. Ice Queen: Beautiful! I am so glad she isn't yellow-skinned. I like the arm printing. The hairpiece looks like the Queen's from the Kingdoms Joust set, recolored in white. The collar looks interesting; is it a recolor of Skyra's collar? Penguin Suit Guy: Also cute, but the animal costume thing feels like it's losing steam... Banana Man: I love that face print. I quite like the BANANA! sticker, but I will agree it does deter buying multiple... Serenader: He looks exactly how I thought he would... Black moustache and all! My favorite of the revealed figures. Rogue: That hood feels like it's out of Assassin's Creed or something. He's wolfpack, which should please fans of yesteryear's wolfpack sets. Best army builder of the nine shown. Can't wait to see the rest! Now that we know the Cyborg is female, I'm thinking the Dog Show Judge will be male... -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

It's clear someone heard the word "recall" and thought the worst... Glad to hear it was a misunderstanding... I'm really loving the Flying Warrior, Frightening Knight and Laser Mech. They're all great army-builders. However, I'm not a fan of the injection technique used for the Laser Mech's energy sword, but I guess that's more of a concern for the part itself instead of the figure. The amount of white injected seems to differ vastly between Mechs, with some going all the way to the end of the blade, and others barely reaching halfway up the blade... Not a huge concern, but I do wish the technique were more consistent... I don't own any Ninjago sets, but I'm sure the other blade varieties have the same inconsistency. -
My wishlist is an attempt to include a wide array of characters from Disney/Pixar, but it's hard to find a Pixar character that would translate well into a LEGO Minifigure... No reason for them being together other than that I want those characters eventually. Considering how there are a lot of Disney characters, increasing the figure count allows them to make more kinds of figures per series, and less time for us to wait for a certain figure because of that. I don't see them reverting back to 16 for series 2...

My wishlist for Series 2: (EDITED on 5/4/16) Fantasia Mickey Goofy Hercules Hades Jasmine Jafar Winnie The Pooh Tigger Woody Emperor Zurg Belle Beast Jack Skellington Oogie Boogie Cruella de Vil Pinocchio Mulan Tarzan Figures I removed from my initial list: Rafiki, Mad Hatter, Aurora, Lilo, Tinker Bell Added: Emperor Zurg, Belle, Beast, Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

The faces may be weird-looking because they don't have noses. But it's not like that's a new thing... Regardless, I definitely support the use of a regular minifigure head for all the non-alien, non-animal humanoids, especially since that allows for their hairpieces/hats to be separate. And they just feel more compatible with LEGO compared to the Simpsons or non-standard heads in general... On another note, I can't quite tell from the photo if any short legs have printing on them. The Cheshire Cat uses the dual-molded legs from the Simpsons, but I'm not seeing any other stripes... Also wondering which parts will be soft rubber instead of hard ABS... I am hoping none, but Genie's might be because of the hole at the top...- 4,155 replies

What a great mix of characters. As I expected, lots of new headpieces and a lack of accessories. My favorites are Stitch and Maleficent. I wonder if Alice will come with another accessory in addition to the bottle? She needs something that will return her back to normal size after drinking the bottle... I also can't tell if she has a cloth skirt or not... If Ursula's legs have her belly in the mold, I'll be disappointed. I was hoping to see other characters with those legs and the belly somewhat limits its future usage...- 4,155 replies

I could see that happening. But it would also be easy for them to simply print it on her face like the S5 Fitness Instructor... Which is something I hope doesn't happen. Maybe she'll have sweatband or bandage printing on her arms? It feels like she won't come with a lot of parts, so maybe she'll have more extensive printing like the Wrestling Champion? Is it possible we're getting a double-sided face for the Kickboxer Girl, where the alternate is a female version of the series 5 Boxer's black-eyed face? -

Since we've seen larger German Shepherds and smaller chihuahuas, I hope for a new medium-sized dog mold, but the breed could be anything as far as I'm concerned. I'm also hoping the Dog Show Judge will be male since the Wildlife Photographer with the penguin will be female, and that he'll come with a first-place blue ribbon as his non-animal accessory. What kind of accessory will the Kickboxer Girl have? A trophy would be the most expected, but maybe we get another set of boxing gloves?? Hoping for an interesting hairpiece here, but also expecting her to get the 'ol ponytail at the same time... I kind of want a female Cyborg, Rogue, or Pirate, but none of those seem likely for this series... -
I like all three houses, but I especially like the texturing on the brick house. Also, NPU with the yellow gears as sunflowers!

Nice concepts. That's about what I'm expecting to see. From what I remember from scouts, a walking stick should never go above the armpits, so a 6.6L bar might be too long, and I'm not sure it warrants a new mold... Great idea! I never thought of using the ski poles for hiking, but I've seen hiking poles used many times before by hikers. Good idea with the compass. Not sure on headgear, though a hat of some sort seems likely. -

We might see official lists of names or parts of the lists at the Toy Fair, but not actual figures... Hopefully we'll get new news in some form. I'm thinking the Hiker might come with a walking stick, which could be easily done as a 4L bar... Maybe he'll have short sleeves, and two-tone legs for hiking boots... Seems likely he won't have anything as a new mold, but still has the potential to be an interesting figure. -

I sincerely hope we get a new mold of squid legs. Those ones are functional but not very compact... Imagine if they made a smaller horse mold for a foal, and at the same time made a variation that replaces the head with the torso attachment so it can used for centaurs... Hard to say, honestly. It's not impossible, but my only concern is that its hind legs would stick too far out over the baseplate. Maybe the camera will come with a zoom lens? Maybe it will come in a new color? The current camera feels perfectly fine for me, but I hope they don't give us just a plain ol' black camera... I'm thinking around the same thing. If he isn't wielding two scimitars or similar swords, he'll have a sword and shield combo. Hard to say what kind of decoration he would have on the shield... A new sword mold would be cool, but a new headgear seems more likely... -

Based on the names, the ones that excite me the most are the Cyborg, Spy, Imp, Rogue, Arabian Knight, Serenader, Spooky Boy, and Scallawag Pirate. The Arabian Knight (nice pun) should be interesting. Not sure what kind of headgear or weapon/shield he'll get, but I hope for an interesting cape or similar cloth part. I wonder how the Cyborg will look... Will he have a robot arm/leg? a space gun/laser of some sort? I keep thinking it will be something similar to the S3 Space Villain, but I hope we get something a little more unique/interesting... I wonder what the Spy will have for accessories... A cool gadget of some sort? How similar will he be to the S15 Jewel Thief? Now I wanna see pictures.... -

I hit TRU yesterday, and they only had Series 14... The associate I talked to put out a brand new box and said it was the latest series they had gotten. Target, on the other hand, had Series 15, and like others, I had to ask an associate to get a box from the back using the DPCI. Got a full set plus extras for my girlfriend. They're all really great figures, but standouts for me are the Faun, Flying Warrior, Jewel Thief, Janitor, Tribal Woman, Laser Mech, Ballerina, and Frightening Knight. -

I like the idea, but it wouldn't make sense for her to have a penguin unless the Arctic crew were to have an Antarctic adventure... Also not a fan of the Arctic outfits, so part of me is hoping for a female eskimo so we get more natural-colored parkas. Maybe she has snowshoes or something? Hard to say what accessories she would have, other than some sort of polar animal as previously discussed... We haven't seen the fishing rod in CMF for a while, after it was beaten to the ground by S3, S4, and S5 in quick succession, but I doubt its inclusion unless we get another color of fish (sand blue!?). -

Not to question your thoroughness, but are you sure? Sometimes 3L bars get stuck underneath the baseplate... That happened to me with the S13 Snake Charmer. If you're certain about it, then that stinks :[ the flute is such a nice versatile part... -

If we do get an Eskimo Woman and a penguin, I feel there will be something in their bio that explains why they came together, despite being from two opposite poles... Not sure what they would call her though, considering the Series 5 Eskimo was renamed to "Ice Fisherman." She'll likely come with the same parka hood mold as before, since I can't really think of another suitable headgear, and it's been some time since we've seen it... -

That's where I've been finding figures at Target lately: at the front of stores, as opposed to in the Toys section with the rest of the LEGO. A lot of the checkouts with "impulse buys" will have them hanging up, too, mostly likely at the bottom. None of the Targets I've been to have had Series 15, but now I know where else to look if they aren't in the Toys section...
