LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
telaruhn replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I like that box color... seems like blue was being used for all the licensed and themed series for the past few years. Too bad we didn't get a reveal... I'm sure news will come soon though.- 1,421 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion

Then it could be under some other name, but I have no idea what it would be... Considering the names come from Google Translate, something would have most likely been lost in translation. Because of this, we can't say for certain that they would be official names in the translated language. The shape of the shoulders isn't exactly like the current epaulet mold, but I have no idea what else they could be if the character is historically accurate...- 1,421 replies

Minutemen weren't pirates. They were militia for the American Colonies... So he would be like the Revolutionary Soldier. A Highwayman is an interesting concept, but I don't think he would have something as militaristic as epaulettes.- 1,421 replies

Hmm... Let's rethink this figure... The tricorne is 18th century, during the American Revolution. So what about a Minuteman? Unless it's a more specific historical non-pirate figure...- 1,421 replies

Looks great! The only disappointment for me was that he has a darker green for his torso and legs compared to the husk of his corn-cob suit. I wished it all matched... I can't wait to see the other figures! :)- 1,421 replies

With Google Translate, we have to consider both the origin language and the translation's language. I was using English-to-Italian before, but it might be something like Italian-to-Spanish. But I don't know Italian so I have no clue if I would be putting it in correctly... I'm hoping we'll just get the English list soon. Regarding the Matador - If we can get a Cute Little Devil, I think anything is possible... it would make for an interesting cultural figure, but I wonder how they would do the red cape... TV Remote Suit Guy and One-Man-Band Guy would be weird. One-Man-Band in particular. He would need a lot of molds, and they wouldn't be as useful as regular instruments, for sure.- 1,421 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
telaruhn replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Got all 20 CMFs at my local TRU. They had a 4.99 price sticker on the box but they were 3.99 on the website. So I showed them and they matched it! It was pretty easy to feel for, but I did almost mix up the lobster with the crab from the Zodiac Master. Overall a nice series. Orca's head is the best thing ever, it looks great on the costumed figures! My favorites have to be Lobster Lovin' Batman, Eraser and Calculator. -

It's a extremely well-crafted mold, and the most intricate food costume thus far! It looks like it's molded out of two colors of plastic. This is turning out to be a great series, unsurprisingly. Can't wait to see what else is in store.- 1,421 replies

I appreciate any bit of info you can provide, Itaria. Now I need to learn Italian... :) Following lifeinplastic, I'm looking up Italian food words starting with P or R... pancetta = bacon, patata = potato, pepe = pepper, pomodoro = tomato, proscuitto = ham ravanello = radish, riso = rice I now want a Bacon Man!- 1,421 replies

Though this is just speculation, I want him to have a recolored S12 Hun Warrior helmet... though it doesn't fit with the typical dwarf beard. I think he'll have some kind of horned or winged helmet, at the very least. As for weapons, he'll most likely get a shield and axe combo like the S5 Evil Dwarf. I'll be surprised if he gets a new mold; rather, he'll have detailed prints to help elevate his design. I wonder if his short legs will have printing...- 1,421 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion

Is it a hold-able accessory? If you don't consider parts that were in Series 15 or 16, the accessories introduced in 2016 that stuck out to me are the hourglass, the teapot, and the boomerang... is it any of those? A Central/South American or African figure would be a welcome addition...- 1,421 replies

I'm thinking #3 is a Chef or Doctor. I'd love to see a stethoscope neck-accessory... #4: Some sort of Skater? Based on your clue he would come with a skateboard... but I want to hope for something new and slightly different... What about an In-line Skater? Thanks for sharing some clues. I am excited to see what figures we actually get based on them! Since the army builders have been guessed before, I'm going to agree that they will likely be well received by this community.- 1,421 replies

That double negative! The sneak-peek figure is clearly historical with the tricorne silhouette. Since it's not Pirates-related, I'm thinking it's something along the lines of the S10 Revolutionary Soldier? Or at least a figure from that time period...?- 1,421 replies

Interesting thoughts. I agree that the Fairy wings don't quite work for a butterfly. I'm expecting something larger and more intricate. Not too certain about the new hair with antennae, but with the S14 Tiger Woman, I think that it is a possibility. The picture you provided makes me wonder if she'll have a tutu as part of her outfit, even though butterflies don't wear tutus... Right now, it only comes in Black and Reddish Brown. I'm hoping for a new color, such as Dark Brown, Tan or possibly Dark Orange? The weights used for the S2 Weightlifter seem like the most logical re-use for this Strongman, but the Technic ball joints and baby heads are also very plausible...- 1,421 replies

Indeed. There are so many butterflies out there that I wonder what the wings will look like... they will almost certainly be a new piece. It seems likely she will reuse the Bumblebee Girl's headpiece. Strongman should be cool. Likely a bald head, maybe a new color variant of the moustache piece... And obviously, some weights to show off his strength.- 1,421 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I saw the photo! It's interesting how the batsuits in the top row are in three quarters view, fully accessorized, while most of the other figures are front view and have no holdable accessories. Not sure of its significance, but it's clear that the series in this photo isn't finalized. Still cool to see a glimpse of what could be coming, though. I don't know too many Batman villains, but that Killer Whale is very interesting considering it's reusing Shark Suit Guy parts so soon after Series 15... Lots of cool recolors. The pink tutu, pearl gold fairy wings, a black Roman tower shield, black Spartan helmet, the brownish S12 Rock Star guitar... -
Hmmm... I'm gonna guess some sort of lizard/gecko/chameleon, like I did last round. :) Not guesses, but I'd also love to see a duck, sheep, or turkey. Larger animals just don't seem as likely since they can't be put in CMF blind bags, which is where we are seeing new animals in recent years...

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion

Some sort of generic spring/summertime figure like a Gardener would be nice. At least we would finally get a minifigure scale watering can... Beyond that, it's hard to say. Sometimes figures are released after their holiday or time of year they are supposed to represent. For example, the Series 7 Bunny Suit Guy was released in May, which is right after Easter. I'd really love a Cupid figure, but it would be better suited for a January series, just in time for Valentine's Day... An Uncle Sam figure would be kind of cool, since we already have Lady Liberty...- 1,421 replies

This will the first May release of regular-series figures in 4 years (last one was Series 10 back in 2013), which is really quite exciting! Makes me wonder how early we'll hear news about it... Costumed figures are a bit expected at this point. As to what they specifically are, food and/or animals... is anyone's guess right now.- 1,421 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 poll

While my favorite is the Cute Little Devil, I also think the Ice Queen, Rogue, Mariachi, Hiker, and Banana Guy are standouts in this series. A lot of the "charm" in CMF, for me, has been the variety of themes represented in each series. As long as that continues in future series, they will still retain that charm. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

LOL yellow again!? It's probably the least eye-catching color blind bag IMO. I would much prefer reds, greens, and blues... Or even a new color! Sorry to hear about the increase in Euro price. LEGO really wants to see what the market can handle... They can't even use the MMO as an excuse to raise the price anymore, so the only reason I can think of for the price increase is "because they can." Unfortunately it's as simple as that... -
Definitely not. Regina is one of the best characters on the show :)

Fair enough. I understand your liking for his reviews, because they really are great, and get better with each one. Truth be told, I've always wanted to do a CMF review since I joined the site, but it would never be on the level of WhiteFang's. Meaning, I don't own a whole box or a wealth of figures to pair up. But I guess that really shouldn't deter me from doing one...
