Settlement: Quinnsville, "Chocolate Island", Corrington
BrickOn replied to Tomsche's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Congratulations on the founding of your new settlement, I look forward to visiting. -
I present Tigerlily, a small sloop soon to be joining the Corrington fleet manned by Sir James' men. Tigerlily2, on Flickr Tigerlily3, on Flickr Tigerlily4, on Flickr Inspired by some of the beautiful brick built boats posted recently, I tried to give it a go myself, but I got a little distracted during the process and Lily became Tigerlily. Approvals appreciated.

I approve, there can't be too many lego lighthouses keeping the ships safe. -

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
BrickOn replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Pre-felt bags? Opening them? Sounds like cheating to me, last time I went to a lego store one of the employees helped me feel out what I wanted (I could have managed by myself but I don't mind the help either) and I saw the same employee helping kids later. That strategy makes more sense to me because it makes the customers feel more valued and like they've had better service, of course it does depend on how busy it is. Pre-felt bags or open bags might just just make them question the whole blind bag concept and it takes away from the fun of it, also if you are picking them up as an impulse purchase I guess its better for lego if you keep buying until you get your desired character.- 4,155 replies

Looking good. I really like this set (I've yet to dismantle mine either). The improvements are looking good, liking the updated cafe interior.

hmmm x105Black just posted the link to the exact definition of the Disney Princesses line up, in their official Franchise... however do we have proof that whoever said there would be two princesses in the series was referring to actual Princesses, rather than the Disney's Princesses Franchise definition?- 4,155 replies

I am slow on the uptake today, it took me a long time to work out the pirating joke, too long. Nice ship though, I like the christening scene :-)

I don't know Alice in Wonderland has a big following, only today a line of Alice in Wonderland shoes went on sale and were sold out within 30 minutes and these were adult shoes... having said that their starwars line also sold out same day as well, that might relate more to the shoes. Anyway back to the pure speculation, personally I would expect to see the little mermaid, because she is IMO one of the more iconic princesses and she is Danish, I just can't see Lego over-looking her. Plus I am biased because she is my favourite and the only minidoll I own, I would much prefer her in minifigure format.- 4,155 replies

It's not Dorayaki's it's one I made earlier but it shows the hairpiece. ArielandDaddy, on Flickr Personally I don't think the quiff comes out far enough, nor does it have enough definition to look like Ariel's.- 4,155 replies

Such a well executed scene. I like the little details, like the smashed glass in the cabinet, you've built quite a picture :-)

I've only just realised this but Quidco offer 3% cashback on the Lego shop... I've used it for years for hotels and flights etc but never thought to check Lego (until I was shoe shopping online today). Anyway if you are not a member you can sign up here. Full disclosure that is a referral link, however I will be using this from now on to make my Lego shop purchases in the UK and just thought I'd share with other UK shoppers. Obviously feel free to sign up independently if you prefer and make you own referral arrangements, just trying to be helpful mainly.

I approve . Great build with a cool story. I really like the colours in the house, the green shutters complement it perfectly.

[Cor - Feb FB3] The Crossed Swords Tavern
BrickOn replied to BrickOn's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks, I will persevere will my roof building... perhaps I will raise the roof and add a second story. Opps so much to remember, in Arlinsport. Thanks, I even thought about the chandelier, but did not follow through, okay I will build one :-) Okay Chandelier is built and you know what this guy is thinking... Chandelier, on Flickr -
The beehive with the honeycomb is so clever, the bees themselves (or are they daffodils?) and the lavender is so appealing. Its a beautiful scene, with so much thought in the details. I wish I could approve but as a loyal supporter of Corrington, I cannot, so will leave that to others.

Settlement: Arlinsport, Tiberia, Corrington
BrickOn replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The Crossed Swords Tavern | BrickOn | Corrington Its not a property but Sir James paid a visit to Arlinsport after the Feb MRCA. A visit to Arlinsport | BrickOn | Corrington -
This is my 3rd freebuild build of the month and first property (so feel free to approve). I've been experimenting with roofing, not entirely sure if this one works for me, but I thought I'd give it ago any comments welcome (the roof itself is one whole piece that rests fairly securely on top of the main walls). Another Corrington Tavern in Arlinsport; The Crossed Swords is more of a shack than a Tavern. With building materials scarce everything was savaged to build this watering hole, including part of a decommissioned ships hull for the roof. But this not stop the Patrons enjoying themselves within her walls. the company was pleasing and the liqueur flowed freely which was as much as anyone could ask. While Sir James was the Patron of the establishment he did not often frequent the place. on the occasions that he did he largely drank alone and swiftly. TheTavernCrossedSwords, on Flickr CrossSwordsTavern, on Flickr Tavern, on Flickr TavernCrossSwords, on Flickr Eeeek I've just realised my title is somewhat lacking please could a MOD edit it to read [Cor - Feb FB3] at the beginning? Thank you.

So good, can't wait to see more pics. Looks like My Fair Ladee is coming along nicely :-) -
Nice one. You beat me to posting a tavern :-) but yours is much more impressive. The frontage is beautiful. Nice idea to have a dance hall at the top, I am guessing thats not a purist lego violin, I wish they made one.
