  1. As long as you don't double cross us I like the microbuild style, would be nice to see a small boat in the harbour, but overall I think its a cool little scene.
  2. Nice building, with a very nice roof. I like the idea of a water mill, but I don't like the idea of Oleonders having better access to gunpowder :-(
  3. Oh no what happened? I like the dark green washed up seaweed (it is seaweed?), more stuff should wash up on lego beaches, just not more dead people, poor guy.
  4. I was specifically thinking how cartoonish do ariel and alice's faces look compared to flesh heads modelled on real people. The outfits I am not so bothered about, though they might be useful; I can see Ariel's torso being good for anyone who wants a scantily clad fleshy girl (or more variety in their scantily clad fleshy girls).
  5. About the fleshtones heads, I don't personally have many males, but zero females and I would like a couple of female heads for some projects. How do people feel these would fit in with regular fleshy minifigures, to use as non disney stuff. I am asking because I have very few ideas on the subject.
  6. 1) Queen of Hearts 2) White Rabbit 3) Beast 4) Beauty 5) Snow White 6) One of the Seven Dwarfs (does it bug anyone else that if they did just one they would unlikely ever produce all 7? Maybe 0 dwarfs is better than 1) 7) Winnie the Pooh 8) Piglet 9) Tigger 10) Cruella De Ville with a dalmation 11) Jafar 12) Jasmine 13) Pocahontas 14) Robin hood 14) Cinderella 15) Tinkebell 16) Woody 17) Mrs Incredible 18) Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey Probably too many ladies for LEGOs taste since I have a 50/50 split... this is half a wish list half prediction, mostly wishful thinking... I guess series 1 is testing the water, series 2 is probably already set to happen... but maybe a third series depends on uptake of the first series? I even added some pixar stuff in there this time to complete some partnerships mostly.
  7. Nice microbuild ship and the brick-built sky backdrop works really well, I like it.
  8. Glad to hear we have another 5T Ship in the fleet. On the islands, I prefer Cocovia and New Balondia. A part from rumours of disease on number 2, there were also rumours of iron ore?
  9. Yes I realised I was first both times and decided to plough on anyway. Definitely acceptable quality, can see all the details :-) Although I am not the person to judge photo quality since all mine are taken with my phone (I broke my camera last summer and have not fixed it yet) and I have never built nor attempted to photograph something that big. I think I like the saw horses best, after the ship itself. But I have a question, how did you acquire all the wigs was is from the last pirate wave or the CMF soldier or some other mysterious way?
  10. Looks good in with the green and gold, and the brown paper works well as the sails. I approve
  11. So many photos, definitely worth your effort. I really like the ship's cross-section and the framework photos. Thanks for sharing.
  12. So what are the potential names for the two new islands and aside from Quinnsville are there any plans to settle on these islands?
  13. Well I got 10.5/16 (I'm giving myself a half for the cheshire cat mention...) Not bad for a wishlist where I expressed no pixar interest. Seems like the princesses are not going to feature that much so I might drop Cindy from my series 2 lineup, would still like her though. And I can't believe I didn't put the Queen of Hearts on my old list, I don't particularly like the disney depiction of her but she's one on my favourite characters. So she's on my new wishist, along with Snowhite, a dwarf (any one of the seven), Cruella and Pocahontas
  14. Nice review, I really want this set. I'm just not willing to pay the after sale price... still hoping to find one in an attic someday.
  15. As others have said, I really like the dragon wings used as sails and the head works really well at the front. Nice one.
  16. I approve I especially like the look of her stern. Any chance of getting a close up of her from behind?
  17. I like it, interesting building. The white fence pieces make nice windows. I'd thought about a doctors office, but the only bit I'd assembled was a bowl full of leaches (black horn pieces)! I look forward to seeing your furnished upon the surgeons arrival. I approve.
  18. Maybe, I guess it depends on the outcome of the trade runs but without that income I'll be 7 Db short.
  19. Yep a couple of people have mentioned that already... but I guess that's a pretty big piece, bigger than Medusa's tail piece. +1 for potential future CMF centaurs.
  20. Its okay I realised she was too slow for the Corries, she's going solo :-) (On a side note having looked at things again I think her license may have dropped Sir James in the red)
  21. We have a pic of Captain Hook, with new hairpiece and hat... *snip* Since it's been deleted from the rest of the forum it occurred to me to remove the image from here! Anyway Captain hook came with a hairpiece and hat combo, it was a little oversized for regular pirates perhaps but added variety.
  22. Thanks guys, she was just meant to be fun and a break from my other building projects, she started out all white, I have no idea why i even picked out an orange brick in the first place. As of yet I have not licensed her. I was thinking I should wait until March if I did not get her on a trading run. But as soon as I do I was thinking small sloop. Edit: She is now licensed as a Small Sloop.
  23. I'm warming up to them, I agree they don't look great as a bunch. But the obligatory mickey and friends look good (I just was not that excited for them) but they look great IMO. Ariel. Hands down my favourite. I think the designers did a much better job with her hair than the minidoll version, I am very happy with her. I'll get multiples (needed to expand the mermaid colletion), I bet she's three to a box, nah maybe 4. Ursula looks amazing and so shiny, I think one of the reasons she looks the best because her eye makeup makes her eyes very close to the cartoon character version without ruining her lego appearance either. She will almost definitely be 3 to a box, or maybe 2? Captain hook... we need a better pic with a full body shot, but I'm warming to him, great headgear in any case. Peterpan, hes good. Aladdin looks awesome, no complaints. Alien and buzz, well toystory was during my dark ages so I am okay with these... I can see why people are annoyed but I guess there will be tonnes of kids who don't have these either... plus lego likes to have spacemen in the CMF. Alice, I want a better look at the bottle she's holding. I hope its printed. Also we need to see a full length picture. I hope she has Minnie's skirt piece recoloured. And her hair piece is new? Thats good. Cheshire cat looks weird to me, but I think I've been confusing him with lucifer (Cinderella's cat) in my memory so I am going to rewatch some clips with him in. I think he looks weird as a minifig but after looking him up, the head looks accurate. Maleficent is awesome, happy with her. All in all, I think there are a lot of individual good looking characters here but they have a poor group dynamic.
  24. You've captured the likeness of the original perfectly and the colours on both are a great combo, nice job. I approve
  25. Nicely proportioned house, I like the roof a lot. Very neat.
