  1. OK. I'm GMT +8 so that is great, gives me all evening tomorrow to finish up. Thanks for clarifying.
  2. Ok thank you! Will try to make it (those Redcoats have it coming =) but good to know incase everything goes wrong.
  3. Quick question - Do we have to enter both parts I and II to have a chance to get to part 3? Since I'm West Coast time the 'somewhere on...' may be while I'm still taxiing the kids around all their Saturday events.
  4. I agree, exactly on the granny knitting!
  5. I love that green house Daisy! The horns on those plants remind me of my pepper plants. I like that magenta and dark red roof too. It works so well against the vibrant lime. Very nice use of your friends collection.
  6. I've long wanted an official Winter Village station for my train. This year I stopped waiting and built one myself. This cozy little station is the perfect gateway to your Winter Village experience. I like building that are easy to play in, so the roof opens for better access and the ramp slides to whichever position you want to use it in. It looks like some people are waiting for the next horse and buggy to arrive, to ferry them into town. Grab the hook off the wall and open up the ladder to access the clock tower for maintainence. See a closeup of the decorated office here. It can become really cold waiting for that next train to arrive. So spend some time relaxing in the witing room. Want to know some things to do while you're at the Winter Village? Pick up a pamphlet from the rack and see the nearby attractions. More pictures available on my Flickr Album
  7. That confuses me even more, the 31st?
  8. I sincerely hope it is too! I'm glad I read this because I had it in my mind it was midnight anywhere in the world, then I saw the UTC, so I have to get cracking with those photos tomorrow. I was waiting for sunlight.
  9. Thing is we have had four speeders, and two reliably wobbled and two don't. We tried removing various pieces but came down to solely the over carriage and the wheel axle, and there are two speeders that wobble too much to play with and two that go in a straight line. I considered this and it could be applicable for the kids however since I can reliably release two of the speeders in a straight line, I am less certain that it is a factor for the two that wobble. When I release them in what I perceive to be exactly the same manner to the two that don't wobble. This was my kids greatest complaint and I think the faultiest part of the design, when there are so many other actual slope pieces that cold have been used/built together to make a ramp. The only way we've been able to play is to aim at the base so the whole thing goes down. Thank you for all your thoughts.
  10. Has anyone else encountered this? (Before I phone up lego I thought I'ld ask). I know many of you probably haven't played with the speeders, lol. But if you have, have you encountered any trouble with one of them wobbling so much from side to side that it just fish tails forward rather than races? We have two that do this. Both of them belonging to Wakz. I thought at first it might be the other bricks on that particular speeder but I swapped the wheel from Wakz to Longtooth and it still wobbled, however not as badly.
  11. That was a really informative article, thank you.
  12. Love the concept! Wow those carrots are big. Great use of the duplo. And I totally agree, it has to be bunnies taking over the world.
  13. I really love this, great detail in such a small space and wonderful parts usage.
  14. 50 bricks per lot, or 50 lots?
  15. Today I found the Unexpected Gathering at Walmart for $40. I know some poeple have had success getting price matching done, so here is the photo.
  16. I too love that collar mushroom, I can see myself using that in the future. Those happenstance, find two pieces of lego that stuck together and look good together are really great when they occur! Nice editing and nice scene.
  17. I like that building Burri! Especially the roof. Great free build. I have no idea if I'll enter the last contest, three builds >.< right when the winter village and ToR are going on, I will do whatever I can fit in though.
  18. Good Comic! I like the reason behind the ending.
  19. [pid][/pid] Lets add insult to lots of injury...
  20. Oh don't worry, my brush and I have this handled...
  21. This is just beautiful. Absolutely breathtaking.
  22. If thats the case then show the redcoats now dressed as ragged isalnders in the first picture. Very amusing =)
  23. I liked the tree a lot, it felt really wintery. I liked the transition from the clips to the droid arms.
  24. This is great. I love it from the view of picture 4 where you can see the hunters tracks behind him and the deer in the hollow ahead. Great antlers.
  25. It would have been posted sooner, but after weeks of waiting to see information about the first round in Lego Pirates forums, I finally found the threads. I felt as dumb as a red coat.
