  1. I don't think a sea serpent could be done justice in a battle pack so: Mermaid (5) turtle (3) pelican (3) lobsters (1) 2 toucans (2) I wanted to add the parrot should brace but I have so many parrots and it didnt seem right adding it without a parrot.
  2. I adore this. The colours are perfect. The action is perfect. The ability to move the backdrop. Its a really striking build.
  3. Marmot! You are right near me. I am in the south bay and visit those two Lego stores too. San Jose store is generally better for selection but sells out so quickly. Sorry I didnt leave you any fun minifigures, lol. Though the TRUs seem to be selling them for $3.19 which isnt too bad. I feel your pain with Walmart sales. I tried their app and it was a disaster, the inventory not matching the in store stock. The only thing I found this time around were some Heroica waldurk for $7 at the Albrae store. There were at least four still there a few days ago, some nathuz, and a pod racer but it wasn't down fifty percent yet. I was there for Friends, but oh we'll no joy. And yes there are many AFOLs around here, and lots of dealers >:( too.
  4. I thought we might be going smaller for this challenge, but the size hasn't changed just the sheer amount you want us to fit in!!!!
  5. Its your picture so its your copyright. Yes its hard to enforce but if you are feeling firmly enough abut it complain to ebay and tell them that that user has no right/permission to use that image.
  6. Nice rooms! I love all the little details. 1. mordatre - 2 4. Kristel - 2 5. gurusql - 1
  7. Nice Builds all round. 9. Oky - 3 points - I love all the interiors very Friendsy 2. TheKingofBuilding - 2 points - it made me smile
  8. That's a nice wall, it's different. Careful Kabel, don't want to scare Rast away to Avalonia because of the dark green hehe.
  9. Nice review, but I agree the sticker sheet reads like someone translated something foreign into English, strange terminology.
  10. I love the way its resting on that base. Its stunning!
  11. I like this. I like the water method, the way it highlights the meandering current. I like the peaked arch shape that is repeated and carried through the design from the spanning of the river to the stone work to the roof. And I also love that it reminds me of a LEGO produced set in that it seems like a playset.
  12. Instantly recognisable as being one of your builds. And an interesting method of building the round walls. I really like the effect it gives. What do you do to get the blue cast in the lighting of your photographs?
  13. Soccerkid, I voted for you because I thought the micro scale in the background part of the challenge was important and yours was obvious. Different people voted with different criteria in mind: microscale, action, beauty, size. And I would guess maybe 100 people voted. I didnt expect this outcome, I read this thread this morning before looking at anything else and had to go find out what people were talking about. Not as much action came through in the photos of my MOC as I saw looking at it on my desk. Working with so much micro scale I think left you feeling a little removed from the destruction. I keep thinking I wont enter the next because the last was such a rush for time. But then the subject matter is one I love and I go I'll just start and see if I get enough done that its even feasible. Then since I've started I want to finish it . That is one thing these guilds have really helped me with. A year ago it took me months to do what I now doing one month. I have mad respect for people like Ecclesiastes who can turn out such beautiful and prolific MOCs.
  14. Welcome to the group Rast! Look forward to seeing your MOCs.
  15. I love the textures in this. I have to apologise for not being around and seeing this before now. I really like the details.
  16. I think its just under 123 bricks tall so 1.17m
  17. Great background information and I love the vignette.
  18. needs a holiday to recover from her vacation.

  19. I really like your builds! Nice green for Mitgardia. Its a great scene in such a small space inside I'm sure the guard appreciate the ale.
  20. If any of those are true, they have certainly lost a lot in translation.
  21. Wonderful backstory and phenomenal presentation. What software package did you use to make the pictures/layout? I really enjoyed reading the pages and it gave me a connection with your droid.
  22. Really nice scene . Those tracks in the sand are a perfect addition. And I agree with others, poor R2-D2!
  23. Yay! for more people to chat to. Welcome to the guild Toma, Barbatus & Valaryn. Well I'm barely caught up on the board after the holidays. And the other evening my husband decapitated my phoenix while trying to swat a fly. I think I'll break it all down. I have to do that after every build so I have enough pieces for the next and I don't have a single bley headlight brick left at the moment. Funny how builds make you realise how little you have of what you think is a common piece. This last challenge I ran out of 1x2 light bleys bricks. Now if only they would ever have those or dark bley 1x2's on the brick wall.

    MOC: Bungalo

Really nice micro I wanted to say I loved the tree, then I saw the street lamp, and the raised lawn, and... it kept continuing hehe.
  25. I fell in love with it from the sight of the fire hydrant I really like the front all the different sized storeys. Are there any furnishings in the appartment?
