  1. Cara: As a lowly deck scrubber my uniform has to be, well, uniform. But Redcoats will learn to fear my bucket and scrubbing brush! Uses head 3626bpb529 (Helena Tova Skvalling or Dino Female Hero).
  2. Which last challenge? I decided to take a little sabatical and have some piratey fun because I didn't know of anything happening here. And I love the colours in your tower too. Its so your style yet I havent seen anything except grey for so long! I really need some of that nougat colour. And I like your free build too Soccer, nice tower and portcullis technique.
  3. Great photoshopping, so perfect in colour. And all the lovely details. I really like your MOCs.
  4. Merry Christmas guild. I havent had time to do anything recently. Though I have so many ideas but no space. I have to clean up the sorting Ive been doing in the living room ready for the big morning. Hope you all have a good day whether you celebrate it or not.
  5. Do any of you have the TRU item number for this elf please?
  6. To any of you that bought the Mirkwood Elf from TRU do you know the TRU inventory number for it? My TRU keeps telling me they are being held for a promotion and not for sale *sob*
  7. 1) Cara 2) Blue coat 3) I think Deck Scrubber is the only position left, lol.
  8. Oh Wow! I love this. It gives off the perfect feel to me and brings back memories :) It looks exactly like a ski lodge. I love the different textures you have managed to convey in the snow.
  9. I really like that Torgar. The scale of the columns and statues inside, the texture and depth (frothiness) to that water fall. The only thing I'm not big on is the dark grey rock, a bit uniform and sheer to me, the greenery helps to blend the top of the build to the cliff walls but it still feels a little too inorganic in the transition. However I know a lot of the uniform cliff is because of the size limitation to the build and I know from experience how hard it is to go up that high without having a large footprint at the base, so very well done. Overall very nice. [Edit so I don't double post] And Antonio welcome to the guild!
  10. The best storage I've found for the kids involves a large sheet (mostly circular in shape) that you thread a cord all around the outside edge, then the legos go in the center. When you want to put it away you pile the legos onto the sheet draw the cord and you have a bag full of legos, but when you want to play they are all nicely contained on the sheet yet easy to paw through. Anything else i've found just gets tipped out and the legos go everywhere, or is too large of a permanent struture to make storage easy.
  11. I am not. I had this gorgeous idea but I'm rather overwhelmed at the moment with life and a bit lego'ed out.
  12. How great! And wonderful that you worked together.
  13. One point to each of: 3, 18 & 21
  14. Oooh keep on giving us teasers! I love seeing MOCs as they are built.
  15. Oh to own that many light bley bricks! I really liked that you showed us all the segments separately. Seeing it in one big picture is impressive but you don't get the full effect of all the gorgeous details. It must have been a feat transporting them all safely. I hope people are impressed when they see it in person, they deserve to be . How many minifig are in there?
  16. I have not done anything for weeks. Well except for buy more garage sale lego that I have to clean and sort , and that only because I have a few hours to kill while waiting for the kids. This weekend I took apart the phoenix and town. Note: took apart does not equal sort and put away. I wish. We are starting to get towards a really busy time of year. But I have all these thoughts about Challenge V, so we'll see!
  17. They can be broken box sets, returns, store displays, left overs from the monthly mini build, excess brick wall pieces, lego that the kids played with at the play stations. However due to licensing all the licensed minifigs should be removed (didn't always happen). I wonder when this goes into effect, if there will be a few last bags. It sounds like the lego is going to be donated to community events or some such. I always wanted them to put it in one bin of the brick wall, oh well
  18. Lovely! The colors really make me feel like its a sunny day. I love that water.
  19. I would love to be able to vary the season of vegetation, so plant leaves 4x3 and 6x5 (2423/2417) in: light yellow medium dark flesh dark orange dark tan brown dark blueish grey (dead, spooky ones) and renew the access to white ones too. More olive green across the other plant pieces espicially sea grass 30093 and bring back the 44512, 26 long wavy plant stem. Plant flower stems in dark tan, brown, dark blueish grey and maybe dark green.
  20. Nice dragon heads in the throne room! And I love the wooden barrel pillars, I know its not new but it never gets old for me and it fits perfectly with the northern style guild theme. I like the little bit of wall extending from the rock, touches like that really set the scene. I see the modular connections, look forward to seeing it next to all your others.
  21. Congratulations! There were a lot of really great, really friendly colourful MOCs. Well deserved all round.
  22. The number of free builds the guild has put forth recently, we should really be scoring quite respectably.
  23. Thats a really nice picture of him. I love his beard and sleepy expression, you dont expect a tree to be sharp/alert/fast to move. And I think his elongated limbs are perfect.
  24. Ah, I missed the moon until now, but I laughed each time I've looked at this.
  25. I didn't see tacky, but I do see Japanese and Haunted House! I think haunted house is because of the verdana/plantation style layout.
