  1. Still keeping it small scaled, this week I got myself several more battle packs: 8015 Assassin droids (luckily these are really cheap) 75034 Death Star troopers (this was actually a pretty neat set) 75035 Kashyyyk troopers (I really wanted this one, probably because of the upcoming swamp speeder) 75036 Utapau troopers (I expect that this one was the most expensive of them all) Only six to go...
  2. That Landspeeder looks great, bonus points for being properly scaled. Apart from 7110 all system scaled landspeeders have been way too big.
  3. I'm kind of coming around to the design of this starfighter in-universe. I like that this Lego version has little storage compartments, they deserve some bonus nostalgia points for that. But the main problem is the cockpit canopy. I think it's too big scale-wise, and for it to have a Star Wars feel I think it would have helped greatly if they printed the canopy along the edges. Now it just looks like a fun random space themed Lego set. The figs are nice though, I don't mind them having the same face print.
  4. On my mission to collect battle packs that I missed out on during my dark ages, it once more occurred to me that one BP a year is extremely poor. There are so many clone battalions/units/whatever to choose from, but I wouldn't mind the clones getting ignored for a while. We're overdue for some non-clone PT battle packs, like separatists, trade federation, Naboo and Gungans. For the OT era we at least have the magnificent snowtrooper BP at the moment but even ignoring the classic troopers like stormtroopers and scout troopers, the new canon introduced a few interesting designs that I would love to have more of. I even wouldn't mind a new rebel fleet trooper battle pack. But one of the things I'm rooting for the most is a Fallen Order/Survivor battle pack with purge troopers and those specialized scout troopers and whatnot. Sort of a spiritual successor to that 75079 TFU battle pack, man I still love that one.
  5. So I haven't quite figured out yet: could this new HE engine go through standard lego curved rails or not?
  6. I'd be all over that, but I don't think it'll happen.
  7. And now that 75262 Imperial Dropship remake. I've come to tolerate those weird stormie helmets.
  8. Great work, I actually love compact builds. Now all that's missing is the tile with the quote "I don't like sand"
  9. Got a good deal on the 75137 carbon freezing chamber. My Dark Ages are becoming undone...
  10. I'm trying to collect all non-ST battle packs, it's going quite well I'd say. Lately I've bought 75088 senate commando troopers, 75089 Geonosis phase 2 clones and 75207 Solo imperials. Apart from like five battle packs I should be able to achieve my goal for reasonable prices.
  11. Hi, welcome to the forum Don't worry about your grammar, I have quite a bit of online contact with Italians and you're doing fine. It's as @Agent Kallus said, there probably will be a Rex minifigure in a smaller set (or even a magazine) next year. This hasn't been confirmed of course but it is the expectation. Other than that, it's hard to say what the average price of Rex is going to be at least this year. When we're looking at the exclusive figures in the 75331 Razor Crest, which has a similar price point, it should tell us at least something but Rex is more popular than Kuiil or the Mythrol. Those two are costing about 60-70 euros and 30-40 euros respectively, so I'd expect Rex somewhere around a 100 euros. So I'd really recommend seeing how things go with the sets and magazine gifts in 2024 first. That Venator isn't going anywhere in the meantime so there's no rush getting Rex before the set is discontinued.
  12. ^Same, in a way I have plenty of clones and stormtroopers and the like, and it dawned on me that I have enough to fill older battle packs that are usually very cheap when you purchase them without figures on the second hand market. So now I have the 75280 501st legion BP and the 75134 BF1 imperial BP. I wanted to do the same with the 75165 stormtooper and deathtrooper BP but I stumbled upon a complete one for cheap. So I bought that one complete. And on a bricklink order I bought a 5005508 A-Wing pilot polybag and a 187th legion clone because I have this thing where I want my clones and stormtroopers in groups of four. Scalpers must love people like me...
  13. Well put! By the way, I see we have reached 202 pages for the 2023 set discussion. That's the same amount of pages as the 2022 set discussion had in the end, and we're only halfway into April...
  14. That GWP looks good for its size but it's not exactly desirable. I think that's actually good, that whole trend of making very neat little sets as GWPs and thus locking them behind high paywalls had become a bit frustrating.
  15. Let's see if those movies will actually get released, shall we? Wouldn't be the first time that a SW movie project gets canned. I don't know how many projects that Lucasfilms head lady has announced that never saw the light of day in the end. But yeah, if they get released you can expect a good-sized wave. Maybe not as big as it used to be because I still think that those big waves starting with the 2014 Rebels wave were partly so big because there weren't so many movies and shows to choose from to make sets of. Nowadays things are different. But we'll see.
  16. I'm honored, of course go ahead! Good minifig selection too, especially Mara Jade. By the way, according to Wookieepedia this version of the Headhunter is canon as well. Don't know if that's true but if it is... Wouldn't say no to a Lego retail exclusive like that. At all. Even a hefty Star Wars tax wouldn't keep me from buying it.
  17. Yes it is, although set number 75222 (betrayal at Cloud City) also contained a system scaled one. Set was way too expensive though and I had other things than Lego on my mind at the time, so I can't really say if it's good.
  18. I've been developing a few ideas, thought I'd throw in the first few. Imperial Zeta-class shuttle - 169 euros /// 1300-1400 pieces /// minifigs: two pilots, two shoretroopers, Jyn in disguise and K-2SO ===|||=== I’d rather have chosen a more generic scenario or even from Jedi: Fallen Order but Rogue One would make the most sense. I haven’t seen that movie often enough to make a good minifig selection so this should do. As for the build, it should have a detachable cargo hold of course. Midi scale Imperial Star Destroyer - 49-59 euros /// 500 pieces /// minifigs: none (because you can't have it all) ===|||=== Slightly smaller than the upcoming SSD, with a small stand. Just like the 8099 version, but modernized. Pretty straightforward. Z-95 Headhunter - 39 euros /// 400 pieces /// minifigs: pilot, one ground crew ===|||=== I’m talking a good old Expanded Universe four-engined Z-95 Headhunter, not those funny looking things from TCW. I know this one has been stupidly easy to make a MOC of for more than 20 years but I just want Lego to make one. No I will not be reasonable. The minifigs can be either early Rebel Alliance or whatever pirates/smugglers. There's more where that came from. Both somewhat realistic suggestions and outlandish (but fun) ones.
  19. That's not what I meant. I love the character Ahsoka, Filoni actually did a great job initially, and of course she should be featured in the show that bears her name. It's just that ever since he's been doing his best cramming her in any series he could, showing a lack of balance in his writing. It's hard to blame him, it's not without reason for instance that 'killing your darlings' is an issue in writing. Not saying that he should kill Ahsoka off... yet. This series could be something good actually, and I'm saying that as someone who's highly skeptical about most things Disney Star Wars. As for the compatibility between the Ghost and a possible Phantom II, I agree. If so, it should be visible when we see the finished set of the Ghost, which needs to have characteristics of being 'modular' in that case.
  20. I'm planning a post for the wishlist thread with some outlandish suggestions from the Expanded Universe because, well, it's a wishlist after all. The funny part: in contained an E-Wing. I'm not one to have much faith anymore in the Filoniverse, especially when his own precious creations take such a central place in it, but I'm very happy about the inclusion of several characters and vehicles from the EU because that means a good chance of having good Lego designs for them. Fingers crossed that the Moldy Crow will find its way into whatever future series/movies (I'm wishlisting at the moment, bad Big_Daddy!). Anyway, I went from not really caring about that NR set to really hoping that the E-wing will be in it. If so, I just might forgive Lego for making the RGS a Coruscant Guard one. I did like the trailer though. Seeing that it's a continuation of Rebels, a show that I loved, it makes me more hyped for the Ghost. And seeing the Phantom II as well makes me hopeful for a new version in Lego form.
  21. I'm relatively certain that I'll (want to) purchase the Ghost and the Swamp Speeder. If the rumors about the Gunship turn out to be false, then a generic Gunship will be my top priority. I'm also very interested to see how a few other sets will turn out. As of now I'm keeping a close eye on Yoda's starfighter and maybe the Yavin IV base. If the Gunship does turn out to have a Coruscant Guard I still *might* consider it but in that case I think I'd first need some time to get over the (slight) disappointment. Oh, and maybe the T-6 shuttle but I still have to think about if it's even a worthwhile vehicle on its own.
  22. I'm OK with that but I certainly hope the idea isn't dropped altogether. A later release would also explain why there's no Snow White, seven dwarfs or evil witch among the celebration CMF figs. On the other hand, my wallet can rest easy. Or rather, easier. I still got the upcoming Ghost and Hogwarts Express in my crosshairs.
  23. I was coming here to ask this very same question.
  24. I didn't expect a new Hogwarts express this fast after the last version and that UCS behemoth. I still want one for my collection and nowadays it will probably be easier to get my wife on board (hehe) since I finally got her into reading the books.
