  1. I can see that of course, but again, don't underestimate the power of memes. When the balcony is nice and the scenery is home-y it'd even be very easy to get the missus on board. It might be helpful if it weren't as expensive as other dioramas of course. Oh well, I'll develop this and other ideas further and put them in the wishlist thread.
  2. A few general remarks considering the topics discussed here lately: -Considering to the popularity of clones I don't think it matters what clone division will be included in the swamp speeder. Personally I wouldn't mind 41st Clones because I missed out on those, but if it would make more of you people happy I'd rather have the 327th ones -As much as I adore the PT I had to look up what the Geonosis arena looks like from the outside and what I saw doesn't look like something we'll ever see as a set, even if it was from the OT -Dioramas don't really interest me up until now but if there were one with "I don't like sand" I'd be all over that. We shouldn't underestimate the power of memes! -I don't know about sales in general but over the past years I've only wanted a fraction of all sets released. If there'd be more (non-clone) PT sets I would be way more interested than OT remakes, so they'd be maing more money from me personally. But as I said, I just might be in the minority there.
  3. As I already mentioned on the previous page, it's gonna be a mini X-wing, not a minifigure.
  4. It's good to live in that sweet spot where there is a good supply but not too high a demand. Same with the supermarket next to where I live (and a few magazine shops even).
  5. Next month's issue of the Lego SW magazine will contain a mini X-wing build. Kinda strange with 30654 available these days. I restrained myself and bought 'only' four of the current magazines with the 212th clones, with ample magazines left for the kids. I hope. Otherwise for the scalpers.
  6. Exactly. Like, it's not like you have to pick it up in a very specific way (with three hands or something) otherwise it'll fall apart.
  7. Yes I do, the 2017 was too big. And I'm all on board for FO sets, that game was one of the best things that has been released under Disney SW.
  8. I'd be all for a remake of that Yoda starfighter from 2017, provided that it's smaller. The problem is, even if that is the case this year it would mean a smaller fighter for a higher price. A sidebuild could somewhat justify that situation. The alternative of the set being based on the BF2 Jedi interceptor would be interesting though, I love it when TLG uses games as source materials.
  9. I found RoP positively ridiculous, luckily it isn't part of Tolkien's canon so I won't whine about it like I still do with Star Wars and the Expanded Universe. The show could make for some neat sets though, just as long as you forget about the source material. Which, luckily, isn't too difficult at all.
  10. This looks fantastic. Just out of curiosity: is it sturdy?
  11. My two cents: Mechs: not really interested of course, also since I still haven't warmed up to the new Vader helmet after all these years. Fingers crossed for a ROTJ Boba though since my most recent of that figure is from 2003(!), and maybe a new mold for that weird oversized stormie helmet but that probably won't happen. Microfighter: could be fun but only when discounted below 10 euros. Yavin IV base: I'm joining the camp of people who think it's somewhat neat but won't buy it. Buildable Chewie: this one is the most hilarious from the bunch, especially considering the price point. Swamp speeder: this could be a cool and will probably turn out to be the target of clone milking. Since I missed out on earlier versions of the Kashyyyk phase II clones (I didn't like their helmet molds back then, I was dumb) I wouldn't mind having them but I'd like almost any clone battalion. As long as it isn't the 501st or 212th it's fine with me.
  12. I'm usually only interested in a minority of SW sets per year anyway; things like ST stuff, helmets, most dioramas and UCS just aren't my thing. So I'm used to set slots being 'taken by stuff I don't like'. I don't mind, it's good for the household finances. But it would be hilarious if I absolutely loved those new gimmick sets.
  13. Excuse me for barging into this thread, but if I recall correctly there was a Harry Potter polybag to be released this year, I think it was quidditch themed. Any more info on that?
  14. My thoughts exactly. The concept would be nifty if some MOCers would make those helmets but as an official Lego product is beyond me... It pains me to see that they take up set slots. But well, apparently there are enough people who disagree with us from Lego's perspective
  15. I don't know man, it could also very well be a Breen helmet from Star Trek
  16. Nothing will ever beat the 1999 X-wing for me, in part because of the smaller scale. The 2021 version had the scale right but almost everything else was just off. What I'm trying to say is, I like your version more than almost any X-wing TLG has released. Great job!
  17. Two reasons. First, the fact that in the preview of the recent issue, the cover of the next issue is pictured but without the price which can normally also be found on the cover. This is a deviation from previous issues by the way. The second reason is the desirable minifigures. Next week's issue will include Bo-Katan and if the above info is correct, the one after that a 212st clone trooper. That could be a move to prevent a loss of sales. But as of now this is all speculation as far as I know.
  18. That's nice, but also an indication that the price of the magazines will most probably go up again.
  19. Now that I have seen that the windscreen of the new TIE bomber is not transparent, I've lost my interest. I admit the thing looks good but I should be able to see the pilot through the windscreen in playscale TIE variants.
  20. Thanks for the answers guys, I'll be able to flattening the boxes without feeling a good amount of doubt now
  21. So I'm running into a problem that lots of you will know I assume: lego boxes take up some space. So I was considering flattening them so that they don't take up so much space anymore. My question is: does this diminish the resale value of a set in any way? Not that I'm planning on selling my sets but you never know if it comes in handy.
  22. That's really nice. Now I face the daunting task of getting myself and my friend one of those... maybe I'll ask to keep two for me at the supermarket.
  23. Lego introduced me to Star Wars back when I was nine years old, so I can't be too sure but I think it was 7101 Lightsaber Duel. And if not that one, 7128 Speeder Bikes.
  24. I like the fact that most sets seem to be smaller ones; accessory packs with normal avaibility would be great. I agree that we can mainly expect RotJ and Clone Wars stuff, plus a few things from new content. As for the whole discussion about a gunship with captain Rex, I think it would be pretty funny if he'd actually show up in a smaller set that's easily available.
  25. As I mentioned before, that TIE bomber is looking really good but to be honest, the fact that people are thinking "what's the catch?" is an indicator of how expensive Lego usually is. I for one am just happy for the people who want it that it's not overpriced like some other sets out there (*cough* Ambush on Ferrix *cough*).
