  1. Your Katy Caboose is already wonderful. Can't wait to see you complete it in bricks.
  2. I would additionally suggest adding the pictures of the real locomotives to your official entry on BMR. Showing what it is supposed to look like there makes it easy on the judges to verify your MOC.
  3. Paperinik77pk, your Fiat MoW inspection car is perfect for a European railway scene a few decades ago. Can't wait to see how you build it with a motor inside.
  4. Nice collection of classic warbird power plants. They would go well with a museum style aircraft display.
  5. Superb collection of farm machinery. The Unigreen trailer stinks though (if it's hauling what I think it's hauling, otherwise, it's perfect.)
  6. The farmer owns a Lamborghini and a Ferrari. What great choices. Excellent diorama, well detailed.
  7. Interesting build. I have some hull parts, but never thought they could really be useful. Great job finding a use for them.
  8. Cute little "critter". Fitting the motor in makes it even better.
  9. The overhanging roof looks better. As for the studs showing, it is LEGO. You can't always hide all the studs. Embrace it, because it reminds us you are building with LEGO and the limits it incurs.
  10. Good to see you've made progress and overcome the challenges.
  11. Nailed it with the tiny tender.
  12. Fantastic work. The folding aspect is a fortuitous creation. It looks good built, but showing it flat just makes it that more special.
  13. Interesting concept. Can't wait to see it finished.
  14. Nice little plaza and building set you've created. I like the two levels of dining and the stepped walk it a superb touch.
  15. The roofline looks good with the curve. Adding the tiles into the walls does give an interesting effect. Keep up the good work.
  16. Excellent choice. Based on your render and the picture, the only thing I see wrong is it's missing the tender for the engineer/fireman to stand on.
  17. Ingenious use of parts to create the bogies and connect carriages together. Your passenger consist looks gorgeous.
  18. Paperinik77pk, your chassis with the drive system looks exceptional. The fact that you've tested it and gotten encouraging results on track is wonderful. You've come a lot further than me, and my works aren't even going to be motorized. --------------------Back to work--------------------Back to work--------------------Back to work-------------------- When I got ready to start the detail work on my Maintenance of Way piece, I noticed I'd made a glaring error. What I thought was a main structural member of the chassis was in fact a segment of rail on the next track over. Upon further review, my entire design had to be thrown out. It was too bulky. As such, a new chassis had to be built, but how? The reduction in size was going to be nigh impossible.. I thought hard, and looking at my Jackson ballast tamper, got an idea how to make it. The rest of the design clicked from there. Actually, by going with the bar frame chassis, is made putting a better brake wheel on. Here are pics of the chassis, the complete MoW piece, the piece on track, and my reference picture taken in Aachen in 2016. Total parts count is 25 pieces (not including worker). --------------------Next Work--------------------Next Work--------------------Next Work-------------------- The chassis for my precision rolling stock is coming along nicely. Unlike my MoW ladder, I think I did better working with the reference picture. Given the nature of the rolling stock, I felt it best to beef it up. Subsequently, I dug into my stash of old boat parts and have found a pair of weight bricks. I will be installing them to ensure the rolling stock meets the intent of design and to ensure a train pulling it won't fly off my R40 curves at speed. Note, the bogie coupled to the magnet is there to make sure I got the height correct. Edited to add breaks because the system merged my posts.
  19. Thank you. Have to do something with the huge collection of them. Thanks. Nice Snoopy build, but sadly, he won't be. The best I could probably do is Spencer from the Hidden Side. We'll see... Thanks. Now and then, one sees somebody do something with them. This is my idea.
  20. Well done on your art gallery. From the signage on the front to the collection of works, to the criminal element playing chess on the roof, it's chock full of details.
  21. Excellent design. Architecturally, your post office works well and the interior details finish it off.
  22. With Halloween coming, it was time to build the "Great Pumpkin". This liquid fuels loading facility is build predominantly from 64 orange brick separators.Over the years, I've accumulated quite a number as one can see. An internal bracing structure is used to hold the brick separators in position. This structure is modular, so each time I acquire 8 more brick separators, I can increase the internal supports vertically by 5 plates. Maintaining the proper ladder length will be another issue entirely. Maybe if I get enough of the dark turquoise brick separators, I can do a stripe in the tank. In addition to the bulk tank, the facility has a guard shack, office, and a shade over the piping. I believe the guard shack came from a Batman LEGO set, but I added the Octan sign. The Octan truck is a City set. Everything else is hand built for this piece, including the DOT-111 tank car ("upgraded" to DOT-117 specs, link to the thread at bottom). [
  23. I've built what I hope is the final chassis design for my MoW vehicle. It comprises a whopping 8 parts and I don't see any way to get the parts count lower. I've found the parts I believe I will require for the rest of the MoW build.
  24. Nice choice. I'm guessing the real electric E69.05 was under 1,000hp, so you might have been good with that. Best of luck with your locomotive. I'll be your competition with my 6-wide Trackmobile.
  25. The sheer number of vignettes you managed to fit inside the numbers is astounding. Excellent attention to detail. Even viewed from the backside, the 2 appears to be a snake. Brick on!
