[GBW] - Mission - Deland Republic - Juores Intel
Feuer Zug replied to Mirror1810's topic in The Great Brick War
Good build. I like the insertion method. I see we both have enough issues trying to do parachutes that we decided to omit them. Nice house too. -
Congratulation. I wish you the best with the newborn. P.S. forget about sleep for the next months. I understand priorities. Improve your education and make yourself better for the future. You always have the option of digital builds to keep in it (if you have the time).

[GBW] - Mission - PDSRE - Gorkonnam Checkpoint

Grazi. The modular buildings make it easy to create a customized street scene. -
Benny should have expected such behavior from Blacktron II. He needs to ram the throttles to the firewall and zoom past!

Lovely scene. The narrow chasm feels confined, and the way you did the water is excellent. Having the stop on the edge, then loose round plates gives a natural feel to the water. Perfect place for an ambush too.

Magnificent recreation of the classic Roman architecture. You nailed the design accents. Your building could fit into any Mediterranean landscape with ease, but by adding the legionaries, makes it into a living scene. I like how some of the plaster is missing in places, giving it a realistic feel as well.

Nice rendition of the B-Wing.

BREAKING: The Orient Express Train approved in LEGO Ideas
Feuer Zug replied to koraldon's topic in LEGO Train Tech
That's the big question, what form factor will the Orient Express take? For me, I'll be an easy pass if it isn't L-gauge compatible. I'm not looking for a bunch of big display pieces that can't even sit on the tracks and be close to the same scale as everything else. -
[MOC] The Lucky Seashell: a three-mast privateer barque (playset)
Feuer Zug replied to Legostein's topic in Pirate MOCs
Good looking barque. It would have fit as a play set well into the pirates waves. -
[MOC] McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II
Feuer Zug replied to Juliusz D's topic in The Military Section
Incredible work recreating the F-4J "Showtime 100". Your attention to all the details and ability to add all working aerodynamic surfaces it wonderful. Kudos. -
Excellent build. The walls are wonderful in their details, but aren't the main thing one notices. Overall, everything work harmoniously.

Danke. Checkpoint Charlie served as the inspiration for this build. -
[GBW] Cartel Story Mission: TIP OFF -Bellmuttet

Great story and build. I like the tight, confined feeling you created with the jungle camera shots. As others have said, the water effects are wonderful. -
BREAKING: The Orient Express Train approved in LEGO Ideas
Feuer Zug replied to koraldon's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I agree that the train designs are regional. Having now lived on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, I see the lack of options for European trains in America. I recently did a display at a show and people were quite interested in all my German locomotives and rolling stock. Even more than the motorized 6-wide Hogwart's Express. The kids were enthralled by the ICE 3 blasting around the layout while my DB Class 185 hauled intermodal containers around. A lot of the people were older men at the show, but a few younger ones attended. I'd like LEGO to recognize that again, as well as offering us better options to build terrain without having to resort to massive PAB / BAP / Bricklink orders. Even a trains parts pack would be appreciated. -
Well done on your train station. I can see the classic European styled influences in it, along with the Dutch styled entrance setup to the platform.

[MOC] Imperial Scout Schip (Wandering Skies)
Feuer Zug replied to the Inventor's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Fantastic build. Love the design work and parts used to make it all fit. -
Wicked design. The colors instantly invoke the Blacktron II theme. The build is tiny, with the devil-may-care attitude of a fast racer. Unless it's a really freaking powerful fusion bottle, I think Benny's twin engined deathtrap will win.

Thanks for sharing the history on the BR 05-003. Your work on the three versions is exceptional. Best of luck this year.

Great autumn scene for a wagon train. Love the aspen trees you built.
-
Wonderful build. The dichotomy between the pink leaves of the tree and the bleakness of the rest of the grounds makes the tree really pop. I enjoy seeing the soldier's helmet jump at the sight of the skeletal warrior.

I think the opinion that the train carriages are getting fat (10-wide) is a popular one among the train crowd. For those buying sets to decorate a shelf who want the details, probably an unpopular one. I'm in the "fat" opinion category. I build my trains to 6 or 7-wide, both locomotives and rolling stock. If LEGO would release some wider radius options, then the fatter trains might not be so bad. Until then, yes, I have third party track to give me better geometry options, but still would like to see official options and power to make them work.

The PDSRE is quite interested in dealing with the gun runners of Central Atlis. Mission type: Intel collection Eligible to all countries. No digital builds. The BON has discovered a gun smuggling organization that operates out of the Coral islands has set up a hub in Fulkasho after having their most recent operation smoked out by Tomahawk Missiles from Filace. Mission: Drop a team into the desert and locate the Smuggler camp near the coast. Be careful, they have roaming patrols with vehicles. Your team will need to dig in and try to conceal themselves to send back the intel. DO NOT ENGAGE. Minimum Build Size 32x32 Payout: 36 Points - Possibility for future business. No mission expiration noted, so we'll call it 3 weeks. Due 17 Nov 22.

BREAKING: The Orient Express Train approved in LEGO Ideas
Feuer Zug replied to koraldon's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I think we're all hoping it's not a minifig pack dressed up as a train. We don't need a platform with this set. Give us a viable, working train. And thank you for answering the question about Studgate. LEGO did have some "running gear" way back in the 12v era. Today, they could have a look at what's out there, then fabricate their own option. I'm thinking lots of thin beams with specific spots for connections, so any of the parts they could use for a simplified running gear could carry over to Technic.
