Nice upgrades! It is much more fitting for its name now. Do you have any grass, plants or trees you could add?

Well done. Your photography skills are exceptional. -
Good job incorporating the baseplate into it!

I'm not sure if this is illegal since there is a thread for castle armies, but I feel that these pictures belong here very well since they are specifically orcs and goblins. Anyway I want to show my little group of worriors. I don't think of this group as an army (its waaaaaay too small) or even a squad or whatever. They are generals, leaders, and heroes of various clans of orcs. They are composed almost entirely of lotr and hobbit parts. Its interesting to see all that can be done with the plethora of middle earth orcs, goblins and their accessories which is why I am so fond of them. Thank you for what you did give us Lego.

Not unpopular with me. They are one of my two favorite as well (I especially am fond of the headpieces). Also, I completely agree with what you said about Uruk-hai. Awesome but not easy to repurpose.

I also like the orcs/goblins from Lotr and the Hobbit more than others. I think it's the colors and faces, not sure though. My favorite are the goblins with headpieces from 79010 Goblin King Battle and the new orcs with mohawks from 79016 Attack on Lake-town. I think these two have the most unique, menacing, awesome faces and the headpieces are icing on the scalp..er cake. These are the two orcs I have tried to amass and have sold off a lot of my mordor, hunter, and gundabad orcs. I have amassed Uruk-hai as well. On a side note, I prefer the gundabad Orc faces from 79017 BoFA more than the Hobbit wave two Orc faces. As far as accessories, I actually like all of the hair pieces and the gundabad shoulder spikes. Deathleech, the hunter orc faces from 79016 are so different from previous hunter orcs I would suggest they be in their own category in the poll.

[MOC] Wolfpack Tower
Regenerate builder replied to Regenerate builder's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hey folks, thank you very much for the feedback and responses. I really appreciate it! There is no hidden cave. I usually don't incorporate interiors as I don't have kids yet and dont play with the sets myself. Good job spotting the ghost! I actually put him there for some other pictures that I did not post here and didn't even realize at first that he could be seen in these pictures. That's a good idea about making the wagon more similar to the original, hadn't even thought of that. I like the original cowls a lot as well but they don't look right on a lot of minifigures in my opinion. I did leave the cowls on three of the minifigs. -
[MOC] The Lumberjack's Cottage

Though small, this is detailed and nice to look at. Good job. -
Greetings everyone! Like many of you I am fond of the Wolfpack Renegade faction from around 1992. I have decided to remake the original tower (6075) in a larger, more textured and detailed way. I have attempted to maintain the original tower's general shape and color scheme. I think of the Wolfpack clan as inhabiting an abandoned, old, castle/tower and have designed my MOC with that in mind. More pictures on my Flickr

What is Your Favorite Lord of the Rings Set?
Regenerate builder replied to Deathleech's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is a difficult choice because LotR is my favorite Lego theme as well as my favorite movies. I really like all the sets so much. I also MOC though, so when it comes down to choosing one set, because of the peice count, color, and how iconic it is, I chose 9474 Helms Deep. However, even though the minifigures included in the set are awesome I wish Lego included a couple more. Close runner ups for me are Tower of Orthanc and Pirate Ship Ambush.- 36 replies

Nexo Knights 2016
Regenerate builder replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I guess that makes sense that it is unlikely there will be any zombie faction. However I am glad to hear that cmf 14 should have several! I'll get several of those. I am rooting for dark elves like in Thor: a The Dark World than. I am still very skeptical of any weird animalistic faction such as lizardmen, it's a little too out there for me. Im not against innovation I can just see it being something so "thinking outside the box" that it's the equivalent of KKIII. Giants could be interesting. -
Nexo Knights 2016
Regenerate builder replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Right that's my point. It's a tried and true formula. It's been almost 9 years since the skeleton faction. It would make sense for them to use the same formula but with zombies instead of skeletons. I just think it would be awesome to have undead zombie Knights. -
Nexo Knights 2016
Regenerate builder replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
^ Lego has prodeced a few zombie sets in the past so the idea is not too far fetched. The question is whether or not they would put a zombie faction in the castle theme. If the zombies were led by a necromancer king/wizard, and of course have armor and weapons, it would not be too different than the 2007 Skeleton faction which I believe did very well. Regardless of the exact factions Lego does choose I hope that they stick with the theme for several years and flesh the factions out. I think fantasy era II could be awesome, but again, please no weird Chima-like animal factions and no bright, blinding colors. -
Nexo Knights 2016
Regenerate builder replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I am hoping for more dwarves, orcs, goblins or trolls as well as more human factions. I think it would be neat if there were a dark Elf faction similar to the Dark Elves from Thor: The Dark World. I am not sure how parents or children would receive such a faction though I think it could be pulled off. It would also add some variety to all the good elves we have from LOTR, the Hobbit and the CMF elf. An undead (zombie-like) faction could be neat also. I would prefer things not get too crazy with lizardmen and such as I think that is very similar to Chima which does not appeal to me at all. Regardless of what we get (hopefully) in 2016 I am hoping for nice, intricate heraldry and colors more similar to LOTR and the hobbit and less like Castle 2013. As someone mentioned I think bear heraldry would be pretty neat. -
^ This Image is also one of my favorites of all time! It's the main image I think of when I think back to my nostalgic days of having a few Dragon Masters sets and wanting all of them. That's why I chose Dragon Masters as my favorite era. I am sure classic castle was amazing and wish I had many of those sets but unfortunately I completely missed out on the classic castle era. My first set ever was Dragon wagon from Dragon Masters. I really like the Dragon Masters heraldry, helmets, plumes, and armor. I know all of this was borrowed from the Dragon Knights but I missed out on that faction as well.

You are very creative. The ingenuity in your Mocs is refreshing. Thank you for sharing that secret about the wedges! Now I will have better use for those pieces I previously regarded as mostly useless.
