    At first look I kind of like it. At least it doesn't look dopey. Not sure if I like the wings like that though. Maybe folded against the body would look better?

    Great MOC. It has an authentic old-school library feel to it. Just a tip I learned taking pictures with a decent phone camera, try increasing the exposure, that works wonders even in poor lighting.

    This just doesn't even sound like castle to me. Sounds more similar to a theme like monster fighters.

    Brickjagger, if what you are saying about the new theme not being fantasy or even castle is true....this could be a low point and sad time in Lego history. My heart sunk when I read your post. I have nothing better to do than lament over lotr and hobbit ending and bemoan the future history related theme (if it indeed is not even "castle"). A mix of Chima and Ninjago that is reminiscent of KKII, not quite fantasy, and doesn't really fit into castle sounds like a nightmare. I hope I'm having a gross misunderstanding about what Brickjagger means when saying KKII to the extreme. I suppose there is a chance that mix could be neat but...is it possible that if you combine the elements that are considered weird and disliked by many, that the result will be a desirable product to most Lego castle fans? I kind of doubt it.

    ^ I disagree. I predict once people realize that middle earth lego sets are gone for good, prices of lord of the rings and the hobbit sets will double or triple in the next 3 years or so. Unlike Star Wars, middle earth sets will never return. I think that will hit people once the very last wave and orthanc retire.

    Coming from someone who owns all the mentioned sets...If you can only get one of these sets, and you don't own many castle themed sets to start with, I would suggest the Kingdoms Joust. It has a fun build, good assortment of parts, awesome minifigures, and the price has risen the least compared to MMV and MVR. Then save your money for castle 2016. If you absolutely must have peasant sets then you can't go wrong with MMV or MVR. Remember most likely first wave castle 2016 sets should be available until early 2017 at least. So you have approximately 2 years to save up for them even if you buy all three of these sets.

    Wow, can't believe they are retiring so quickly, they have only been out about 8 months. I bet prices for all middle earth sets will skyrocket soon.

    Oooo..I love the colors! I frequently find myself wanting to visit places depicted in Lego Mocs. That is the case here. Too bad it's not real.

    That could be a great discussion. I think Lego can definitely be used as an art medium and actually have that in mind when I build my Mocs vs playability.

    I agree with what Captain Dee said. We can build MOCs depicting gruesome violence and its fine, but as soon as racism is involved its taboo. Why is this? Here is an example of a MOC portraying a gruesome concept and story and it did not seem nearly as controversial as this one. Whats the difference? Racism is involved. Would people feel nearly as uncomfortable if instead The Brick Avenger built a MOC of Caribbean pirates hanging? What this scene depicts was a horrible time in our history that I wish never happened. But that doesn't mean it should be forgotten. I do not think TheBrickAvenger's intentions were to glorify the KKK in this MOC. I think its simple a well-made depiction, based on a poem, of a horrible time in USA history. Other brutal, violent MOCs have been made and everyone is fine with it. Lets at least be consistent.

    This looks very neat and polished as well as having awesome photography. When I first saw it for a moment I thought it was LDD. (Of course I did just wake up but still...).

    I have had the opportunity to visit a few countries in Europe and this reminds me of many of the structures I have seen there. Great job!
