  1. While you're at it, would you please share links/copies for others to build a similar collection? I'd love to make my screensaver a slide of such images but I'm sure I'd miss many great ones. I guess a new thread in could be used to collect these collections :)
  2. Love it! Could do with a Technic farmer dude ;)
  3. Absolutely, I too expect that someone else that TLG will do this, some day. I just can't wait for it!
  4. I actually like the aesthetics of the Gheo Rescue, it may not be pretty but it looks cool in its own way.
  5. What I really want to see added to the PF family is a compact rechargeable battery and compact strong motor/s based on the technology we have today in e-bikes like my KTM e-cross P. And by strong I mean both a slow one like the XL motor and a really fast one to supersede the buggy motors... wouldn't that be awesome? :)
  6. I added this vehicle to my wishlist some time ago, and I'll probably only buy Power Puller wheels (if and) when the vehicle is done. I still prefer those to the new tumbler tires. But since it may well take me a decade or two, I'd love to see it done by anyone meanwhile :)
  7. Image URL: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/71nPC2VsAkL._SL1500_.jpg And yes, the book looks particularly nice for kids :)
  8. That's still November in Hawaii ;)
  9. Mmm, you didn't say the picture had to be recent, did you? OK, only the left half is old, the right half is from today :) EDIT (forgot to say): it is the same plane in both pics, the one from now is not the one I got from eBay ;)
  10. I just got the Volvo for my birthday, my wife knew I wouldn't buy it and my daughter is asking me every day to build it for her :)
  11. I'm already planning to take ideas from your model to try do one for the competition myself, although I seriously doubt I'll manage to get it done before the deadline. Anyway, great to hear you'll put it up in Bricklink, thank you for that!
  12. Great car and pretty awesome video! I really like the angles and your use of long focal length, looks like you've been studying how real speed cars are filmed :)
  13. Stunning! I'm tempted to get a 42026 and (try) build this...
  14. I'm hoping to use my SBrick with PowerZips (9V batt) to build strong / fast SMALL models :) Hopefully building small allows me to build when my free time is near zero...
  15. Not bad at all, it can run unattended, which can make it up for the false negatives of losing some yolks. I just break the shell in 2 halves as equally as possible and keep moving the yold from one half to the other, back and forth, until all the white is out. The sharp edge of the shells helps a lot, but the movements that it takes to get rid of (nearly) all the white are not repetitive, as they depend on each yolk's size. Sometimes there's a hard thread in the white that I need to cut using the shells' edges, wouldn't be fun mechanizing / automating that part :D
  16. Nicely done! My preference is for something that doesn't fit under the sofa, like http://rebrickable.com/mocs/tomik/tractor, but I'm sure my little ones would like this bike better :D
  17. Mind = blown. I don't even understand some of the functions :D
  18. Nicely done! I'd like to do something with the same 2 sets but still haven't got any good idea... yours has been a nice surprise :)
  19. Nice remake! I loved this set, a relative got me one for my birthday when I already had one, because she didn't know. She never got over it ("oh no, he already had it, what a FAIL!") but I was super-happy :)
  20. Thanks for the idea about linkage, should try that one day. I think we should take the challenge we want to take, after all this is a hobby. And I think it's OK for each one of use to expand "what we have" however we fancy and can :) Maybe one day people will find a way to build something close to OHLINS shock absorbers, I'm sure that will be fun to witness. As a kid, I used to dream of "a way to create parts of any shape I like, without using things like a lathe... and with 3D printer I'm pretty happy with how close to my dream they got, I just wish I had time to use them now :D
  21. I did read his blog post, but I don't think elastic bands would behave that well.
  22. How would you do a suspension with the performance this buggy got by stretching springs? I don't think you can get the same effect stretching elastic bands.
