This pic of chassis was one of the first versions. Final version was a bit different and improved. I would use yellow shock absorbers if I had any ;) I liked it that way with holes. This truck was made for one local exhibition and I didn't make any experiments with it because it was recycled very quickly. XL motors were both for driving, one M motor was for steering and one for gearbox. That z24 under pull axle had just enough ground clearance that didn't hit anything. After all this was an highway truck ;) Thanks! I wasn't expecting that :)

[MOC] Space Liquid Waste Transporter - LWT03
Skandinavc FH replied to Skandinavc FH's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Thanks! It's nice to see that you all like it. The shape of the cab was a result of not having enough dark green elements. But it had to be in dark green I just love this colour :) -
I'm happy to see that you like it. I'm not a panel fan but I will have to start to use them more often due to weight problem with big models. Unfortunately this truck was recycled last year so there will be no video. Sorry.

Let me show you another older MOC of mine. I'm also a big fan of Volvo trucks especially new FH4 and so I decided to make a five axle tractor unit. It had two driven and three steered axles. Tag axle was also a lift axle. It had simple gearbox with low and high speed. All of the PF elements were in the tower behind the cab. It had full suspension on all axles. But the front of the truck was too heavy so there was actually no suspension on the first axle. I don't like fake engines so there isn't any :) As you can see I'm a technic purist. Here is one photo of naked chassis: Unfortunately it never got the right trailer because there wasn't enough bricks to make one. Regards

Here is one more or less weird MOC of space liquid waste transporter. I made it in two nights for a space diorama at our local exhibition - 14.KockeFest. This is not a deep space vehicle because it does not have any ultra big or powerful engines. Main reason for building such a vehicle were these big wheels that I used for a waste tank. Hope you like it ;) Regards

Now that's a beast! Real oldtimer if I may say so :) You solved the problem with the turning table very good, the usage of links and old gears. The bucket is also very nicely made. You have my points -
That is just epic! I like the outriggers, they look very strong as they should be. Crane always needs a strong support. The basic truck especially around the cab is also very good, very real. I love the fact that the model is not too big and that it uses the mid sized wheels. This could easy be an OOB set. I just love it! One of my favorite

This is a sculpture and not a lifting mechanism with ropes or cables. Its main purpose is to show the strength of the cranes and its elements. It would also be impossible to install a winch because it's not meant to lift anything. Yes, it was shown on our local 15.KockeFest two weeks ago. I see now that the rule was changed in between or I haven't saw this part of the rule at the beginning. I knew that the MOC shouldn't be shown on any internet site but I didn't know about the local exhibitions. To play fair I'm stepping out from the contest. Would just ask admin to change the name of the topic because I can't do that. Thanks.

[TC8] 6-axle Mobile Crane
Skandinavc FH replied to kubic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice! I love the colour scheme and the moving counterweight. It reminds me of an older Grove crane. -
Hello everyone, Here's my first MOC topic. Liebherr Ehinger Crane Sculpture: And my LEGO Technic version: MOC is made almost entirely out of technic parts, no basic bricks. It has just one PF function and that is rotation of the superstructure with the two LTM 1750 mobile cranes. Other few functions are manual. Everything is made in modules just like the real machines. Turntable is powered with PF M motor. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7S6IMxL8pqY There is realy not much to say as the pictures say everything instead ;) Regards
