Likewise, and I also don't mind to be off-putting, but questions that show one has done at least a little research or put a little effort into things is likely to get a better response rather than one that shows little to no research. The internet has a wealth of information on all things Lego. This poster's question is no different. Do a little research, and in so doing, if there are specific questions (that come from that research, like which brand is recommended, Lego PF vs. third-party lights, etc.) I think the response will be much better than a question that is so broad, so generic it is difficult to respond to.

Jerry got it right. My comments were meant in praise of this project. Fun, huge, and certainly a feat. I meant no disrespect by them. I actually love this project! But I do stand by them. Redundancy is not a bad thing. Modular cranes, with huge booms are redundant and mechanically simple as well. Yet, anyone who knows me knows my deep love for cranes and admiration I have for them. Structurally, they are a marvel. I see this project much the same. A structural marvel. Mechanically, simple. Again, this is not a bad thing. A ton of gearing calculation and experimentation to be sure, but just that.... experimentation to get the ratio right. Not a bad thing, just a different type of thing

I hope everyone has a great holiday season. Filled with memories and hopefully some building. I received a few good sets this year but before I delve into new building experiences I love to sit and just reminisce about the past memories I have ..... -
RC Extra Large Spider MOC

I love the vantage point which the video is shot. Ground level up. Just like the vantage point of the spider. Creepy..... -
Hate to bump this topic..... but (IMO) it is for a valid question. Having just came across this model and purchasing it, I am very happy. Very good condition with the box and instructions also in great condition. And... I got the box with the error in the shocks which I think is cool. I was happy to find this thread that explained the shock question for me. One other question I have, for anyone out there, is the long connected axles right behind the front tires.. Two... to be exact, connected by a U-joint. I do not see the purpose for this. Can any enlightened AFOL out there help me out? Thanks!

Your Best Technic Bargains

To those who read this.... I neither played with Technic that early in life nor previously was a collector. So I do not know these sets. However, I have read Blakbird's review on Technicopedia and based on comments from others throughout the years I assume these sets would be worth it. Thoughts? -

As I age I am finding the value or history. With that in mind, I have the opportunity to pick up both 8880 and 8860 for 125 each. Little bit of a drive but definitely worth it IMO. Lets hope all goes well......Off to pick 'em up..... -
Make sure he is also checking his "junk" folder in his email. Other than that, I applaud you for trying your best to contact him, but he also carries some accountability. When you are working harder than the buyer for them to obtain the product they purchased something is wrong here. Happens alot in the transactional nature between two parties. Especially if one of those parities has exceptional ethics (you). But don't get things twisted, you should not have to work harder than your customers to get them a product they paid for. I work in the business of providing medical care and often times I face the same problem. When I am working harder and exhibiting more care than my patients to get THEM better then we have a problem......
