  1. I have made a weird realization. The reason why the heads are recolored is because they actually make the eyes. It's kinda the Batman headband situation. EDIT: And we have new photos, clearest yet. http://zusammengebaut.com/toy-fair-2016-lego-bionicle-many-new-sets-on-display-4271/
  2. Can't say much about Ekimu before we get better pics but oh man didn't the beasts improve a lot from the leaks, new recolors and all. I really like how much taller they look too. They all don't have the Super chest connected directly to the ribcage and SB has much more taller legs than I previously thought. Umarak looks better but not much as I hoped for. Maybe when I get to see him better the messy back build makes more sense. Overall, these all are easily better than Scorpio or Ketar, despite not having that many new molds they introduce many surprising recolors. Like unity blade and the bionicle head in new color.
  3. Did you use LDD to take that? And yeah, I'm too holding for an axle with a stopper there instead. But the use exo-arms seems passable and even more so considerin they do it with the cloak polybag.
  4. Atamaii?
  5. Saying "I'm not an expert" Is quite different to "I don't care about this theme at all so I don't even bother and don't give any attention to it" It's just not that he hates Bionicle, it's also that he needs to go straight up lying to keep his reputation. That is downright disgusting behavior.
  6. What is the current situation with Shop@Home? Sometimes it brings me to the error page, redirects back to the main page or blames my card. Also, if there is a topic considering this I would appreciate to have a link cause I don't seem to find it. This is getting really frustrating.
  7. I think their main idea was not to make a two-pack, but to ensure we get a $20 villain as many complained of LoSS being very underwhelming.
  8. Here are some pics from the cache: http://cache.lego.com/r/www/r/bionicle/content/images/background2016/2560.jpg?l.r=1450340028000 http://cache.lego.com/r/www/r/bionicle/-/media/franchises/bionicle%202014/explore/unity%20story/bio_page1.jpg?l.r2=-248474711 http://cache.lego.com/r/www/r/bionicle/-/media/franchises/bionicle%202014/explore/unity%20story/bio_page2.jpg?l.r2=-1841746957 http://cache.lego.com/r/www/r/bionicle/-/media/franchises/bionicle%202014/explore/unity%20story/bio_page3.jpg?l.r2=1530093787
  9. As they haven't shoved up anywhere listed yet I'm starting to fear they are pushed to February in Finland's case.
  10. Even without a proper TV-series Bionicle has been doing better than Hero-Factory, a line that was kept alive for almost five years. And with the planned Neflix the popularity is sure to rise. The SW figures are a worrying trend, but Lego doesn't get all the money of them as they have to give a lot of revenue for Disney. I think it's possible for both of them to co-exist. Remember that it's the SW line that is getting only 4 new sets in the next summer. Doesn't sound like special treatment to me.
  11. https://wwwsecure.us.lego.com/en-gb/service/buildinginstructions/search#?search&year=2016 As the sets aren't out for everyone yet these should be interesting.
  12. I think the primary problem when people judge the sets based on official pictures alone is Lego's fault. It's become pretty traditional to give the sets a frontal pose so their depth can be interpreted wrong.
  13. I don't have the book, as I can't bloody get it anywhere for a reasonable price at least so I'm stuck with people describing it. But what I've read puts the theory of MoUP being the Mask of Time into rest. This to me alone tells that the mask of Time has been crafted long ago before the MouP so they certainly aren't the same.
  14. That has been my thought from the start. Kopaka isn't a $ 20 toa nor $15. You also have to notice that Tahu has many more larger pieces than Kopaka and is primarly built of the more expensive CCBS elements while Kopaka uses the cheaper technic to create something as simple as an upper arm. But the fact he has blaster alone brings him closer to $ 20 point than of $15. But the true reason for the price is Melum, who has no trap and less parts than Terak and none that large either. People bring up the MMvSG often with this but they have to realize Ekimu and Kulta are primarily composed of CCBS parts which tend to be more expensive to produce than general technic. While Kulta couldn't pass as $ 20 set and is closer to $18 Ekimu easily tops the prize of a generic protector due to the gearbox and the MoC stand.
  15. Yeah... using lower half as a placeholder for the upper mask is really shady.
  16. According to someone on 4chan the comic has some pretty interesting stuff.
  17. Sadly this could very well lead to it. I wouldn't be surprised if they drop the dark orange entirely from his next version.
  18. No. Just like LoSS didn't have any larger box.
  19. I don't have the sets but I don't think my opinion will change much from this. I'd say go with Lewa and Uxar or Tahu and Ikir. The rest of the unity modes just aren't that great besides Gali and Akida but Gali is a mixed set.
  20. ...you posted this on Star Wars topic. Well, I guess it at least confirms that. I don't recall any sandgreen characters with the new film... or maybe one but it's just... no. Could be Youda but Boba Fett seems the most likely.
  21. It's something with the eyeslits.
  22. I actually quite like Pohatu, but in general it feels like he tries to be too too many things. I would had appreciated more of the mad-max warrior type and less of the elemental theme. It's not the colorscheme that really bothers me and I do agree the mask is maybe too feminine, especially for a guy like Pohatu. But I also think Pohatu is the one working best as an "upgrade" He mostly remains the same as opposed to all the others who changed rather dramatically on some aspects for the worst.
  23. I've seen people backing from the possibility that they aren't connected, yet returning back to it all the time and vice versa, even people that have connections to the team. They have never came into open and stated that "These worlds are not connected in any way whatsoever" The fact they are toying with the possibility alone is enough to convince me that they are onto something.
  24. Isn't the Unity piece made of harder material too? I'd remember all barraki armor being made of the softer plastic. Could be one reason why there's so many ridges.
  25. Yet. There is not enough evidence to claim either way. The main point is that you don't have to understand G1 to get into G2.
