It's nice to see the concept of flying skull-creature (which is beaten to death by me and Aanchir) was actually pretty close of becoming a set. While the characters look cool and menacing and I would had actually preferred a part that resembled more of a rib cage like these have, many of those are too same-y And couple of them are really generic and bland too or really hard to execute as a working set (the first would had had massive balancing problems with those shield-swords) I think I would had liked a lineup of seven sets, Skull warrior with that gunbalde, a more filled Skull Slicer, skull warlock, Final basher but with those cool hammers, Battle Bat, Voodoo Brothers and the Kulta vs Ekimu but Kulta having some additional bulk (the stand is bloody useless).

Umarak's pose is pretty problematic on that pic. But then again the most horrible poses have been always in the club magazine.

Well, guess you are right, it's either a new piece or that bone you posted. if It is that bone however it would make their torsos very tall cosidering the bone is length of a regular torso and it has to include the hip piece.

I think it's the glatorian neck that has this at the bottom http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=87083&idColor=85#T=C&C=85

Rey seems to be using a custom torso build, too bad the legs absolutely suck. On Phasma they didn't even try to make her feminine, there is not a single thing differen't from the stormie :/
-
Unless the good guys don't have a new mold on legs, they are going to look pretty terrible with the one we have now because they have jeans, pilotsuit and bare legs. It just... doesn't work. It somehow only on some degree works on Luke because the black helps to fade the textures and he has long boots, rest of the figures are supposed to already have calf armor. Unless the designers make these based on some material not released to the public that takes place later on the film.

This could also be the reason why it's not a big box like MMvsSG but a more wide variation of the larger toa+Umarak have. It would also make all the sets combined cost the same amount as this years launch, which seems reasonable as opposed to 5 more pathetic bucks. Sadly, this indicates that they are ready to make sets in 25$ price point and that could be Umarak TD's prize. All in all, don't say 30$ is confirmed when it's not. (this wasn't meant for you) Melum looks like polybag tier set to be honest and technic costs less than the same amount of CCBS, proof of this is Grievious as opposed to Vader.

Less. Phasma has a very plain armor, which is awesome so the printing doesn't ruin it.

This and their prices has been known for quite a while, there are no titans, all of them are of the regular size with some price differences, can't tell you what exactly, it got removed already last time.
-
Also mentioned is that Umarak can "unite" with the creatures. Though I would had preferred if he had some sort of small minion that he could attach to in the 10 bucks range. Is there a mention of Kopaka&Melum's price?

[MOC] Skull Smasher, Steampunk Aggressor
GK733 replied to TheOneVeyronian's topic in LEGO Action Figures
If that's the case I would suggest scrapping the whole thing and making it half of the size it's now, that way you could take more time into it's design to make it steampunk rather than having to worry about it's stability and all other problems that come when building in this size. -
Some of them seem to have weapons that part into two, this is pretty clear on Tahu, Pohatu gets flail and sword, Gali might be able take her staff apart too to have hook chain on the other hand and... the sword with spiky propeller on the other.

Now that we have the more clear leaks I see that what I thought was Umarak's "hair" is dualinjected into the mask. Kinda unhappy to see it it folds onto the head and doesn't lock the brainstalk like I thought due to his large antlers.

Nope, but shouldn't take too long that they show the sets, maybe make it even earlier due to the poster leak.

I've noticed the same on Gali's mask as well, also something that remotely looks like a lip-piercing.

Didn't the team say that Mata Nui (Great Spirit) exists in this universe but doesn't have a great role in the play? It would make sense to use the outline of the island to notify of his presence instead of a Hau or robot. But wouldn't that give him a greater role already? I strongly believe that Mata nui is featured on the final poster but even I ain't believing my own theories at this point.

You aren't. It's not the same color as Chi Vardy's shells but I can't say what color it is actually either.

This leaves Kopaka and Lewa as the odd ones since they both have single hand hold weapons, unless there is something we haven't seen yet.

Hubble Telescope spots... Spherus Magna?
GK733 replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Because I edited it.I believe many of us have had the thoughts that the fantasy worlds would exist in the distant universe, at least I have. Universe is almost endless and ever expanding anyways so a possibility for biomechanic race is not out of the question.- 13 replies

I recommend no one takes anything from the first link. it seems to be the same picture and it just has more contrast/saturation edited into it. This fools the eye to see things that actually aren't there and changes some of the colors radically. On other note yes, Onua still has gold torso, only things changed are Kopaka's blade color and Gali either suffered from bad lighting or the shells priamry color is now dark-azure, which is much appreciated. I'm still on the fence if this shot is prelimnary or not. There is no stamp like there was on TahuvsGrinder poster. The catalog leak also had a stamp a top of Nexoknights preliminary poster. This could actually be the sets final design, meaning the Mata Nui on the poster is final.

So what is the deal with Mata Nui on there? They could had literally used anything else to make up for a placeholder, there are already countless of renders of Okoto. Is it there to stay and is this another nod towards the G1 connection?

They also released a version that is focused to the galaxy for education purposes. Looks almost too much like it, don't you think?- 13 replies

Those images don't show much new, Akida is more visible, Gali has chain on the other end of her staff that possibly connects to the Chima/Ninjago miniblade Kopaka has as some people speculated, indeed dark-blue shells on his arms. And for people crying out that they changed the MoCo to worse, I hate to burst your bubble but the MoCo next to the poster is the same as the prelimn one.
