  1. So this. http://brickset.com/...-on-december-1s I'd expect the images before the launch, so in the next two weeks. In case the US release happens earlier like this could mean.
  2. Maybe we indeed are overthinking about it. Instead of being creatures forced together the beasts could very well just be summoned by Umarak.
  3. Back on track with the design disappointments. Pohatu looked like he had lost his left arm, there was no elemental flow to it and the only piece same was his hand. You can't make a fully artificial arm into one working like the other just by changing some armor and somehow this is the case with his uniter model. And Onua being less wide/bulky, you either can't make a character less bulky just by replacing his armor, it's part of Onua himself, not an armor add-on. Granted, everything else is obtainable trough armor and gear upgrades, though it depends if Lewa still has his shoulders higher than the rest. I might sound nitpicky and like an absolute nerd here but the concept art clearly gives out the message that the sets are not the actual characters, they just represent them, like it has always been with Bionicle. Ekimu probably didn't take Onua's upper torso apart nor made some inner workings for Pohatu's left arm, because I wouldn't call it "upgrading gear and armor". Of course there could be an explanation for it but I seriously doubt it. I don't even know if this fits more into the story or set discussion anymore even.
  4. And since Melum looks so miserable as opposed to other creatures I find it likely the set costs only 25$ as opposed to MMvsSG which was 30$
  5. Much more in depth and he actually talks about other things besides the mask, quite a few pronouncing errors but what was really missing was the concept art :(
  6. They also show the nuva-symbol on the top of the box, even Umarak has his own, it kinda resembles a trap. Shoving lore in the box art sure makes me happy. Overall, while I'm all in for increased parts count and the diversity of the build, but some decisions seem like missteps, especially Onua's torso+shoulders and I can't stand Tahu's weapon. Pohatu's weapon is kinda goofy and would had made more sense without the energyblade, but I for one sure don't hate the build of his arms, I quite like them as I do like Lewa's. Gali is as as good as I hoped for, though the mask... not saying it isn't any less feminine than the last one but now she looks more like a... granny. I hope the dualinjected masks idea gets trashed for 2017 and they return to a bit more streamlined design with a fair balance of 2015-2016. Creatures are pretty good, Melum still looks like a poor tablescrap, but Akida, Terak and Ikir are fabulous, Uxar almost goes to the same cast. Pohatu is gonna rock with a scorpio on his back but it sure looks poor alone.
  7. Someone pointed out that on Umarak's pic the MoCo shows outline of an island on it's forehead... dunno what to think about that, I personally see something there but it could just be the lighting. Until clearer pictures come available I can't say for sure.
  8. I can't see any visible eye stalks, they could be just covered up by the masks but what if they were removed/changed. I don't think that gimmick was that well received and it will have some serious issues with the creatures heads. This also would help a lot with Umarak.
  9. This reminds me, we really need a darker shade of Gold, or copper. If those gold parts on him were as bright as on the actual set it would make this awful.
  10. I have couple of broken CCBS y-joints already. Surprisingly it's the axle hole that only breaks.
  11. Time flies quickly - before you know it as there will be new sets BIONICLE®. What adventures await our heroes? Wouldn't be surprised if this is a tease for the reveal.
  12. Found this video showing "Mask Of The Sea Queen" in all it's glory. It sure earned it's victory.
  13. Correctly? Yes, but they didn't draw any lines to that island at all.
  14. The new armor piece is visible in the club magazine with Umarak's torso build and Melum connects to Kopaka's back so there's no room for it. I believe Lewi just made it for fun and to showcase how it works and how much of an unneeded gimmick having both of those is. That said, I present a challenge for Lewi to replicate one of those KK functions that when turned moves both waist and one arm https://img.bricklink.com/PL/50660c01pb01.jpg
  15. This sounds, eh weird at least but if you stare at finn's lower body you can see there is same kind of shaped hip piece under the armor the next years toa + Umarak have.
  16. ...kinda shocking I noticed this just now but... did they change Umarak's trans-green to same with Scorpio and Pohatu?
  17. I think it look's better than any propellers that they could've use, but it looks really heavy and because of that... not so practical, but it's less of being a propeller and more of a battle equipment. But I could had settled for this: https://img.bricklink.com/PL/87751.jpg if it meant more parts for the rest of the figure.
  18. Dunno if this been brought up. But it seems that the island between fire and jungle don't count it to belong in either of them http://www.lego.com/fi-fi/bionicle/okoto Could this distant island be Umarak's hiding place?
  19. I don't know if anyone else noticed this but I think "rear-gear" is not connected with a 4-m rod but with 1 module smaller variant ( a piece that I have hoped for :) ). You can look at Rey's shoulder connection on the club magazine for proof. Here is the build and existing parts I'm pretty sure Gali has so far. Keep in mind LDD doesn't do transparent colors that well and this was based on the preliminary.
  20. Both shells are 4M. One is Dark Azure and the transparent one is the darker shade of blue.
  21. They look like they have less armor on their hands and feet. This is really the only thing I find that would explain it. I really just want a gunmetal hand piece already.
  22. ...the most offputting thing on these is the gold and silver on their masks. On smaller toa when united there is no gold expect for their mask and it will clash awfully. On larger toa Onua and Tahu will suffer from the silver because both of them have only a fraction of it. Kopaka's going to work pretty fine due to having only two golden pieces.
  23. I can definitely get behind this chosen as a winner... and couldn't they sign it afterwards, who wouldn't want that? I really would like to have it as an actual mask of a set, it even fits the theme of the villains we have so far quite well.
  24. And hopefully outside of USA too... The kindle thing sucks.
  25. Hmm... wonder if they are going to give individual colors to their weapons, aside of Tahu. I could definetly see Gali and Kopaka using the same one as well as Pohatu and Lewa sharing theirs and even their crystal add-on. They did change Kopaka's sword from gold to silver so it's not out of the question.
